Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber shook off his postseason slump in yesterday’s 8-2 victory, hitting two home runs to lead the team. I’m anticipating another underperforming teammate to follow with a big swing today.
My MLB picks for home runs today include Jackson Chourio, Ian Happ, Bryce Harper, and Teoscar Hernandez. If each of them connects, a four-leg $10 parlay could pay out nearly $10,000.

Philadelphia’s No. 1 through No. 3 hitters entered Game 3 with a combined two hits in 21 at-bats with 11 strikeouts in the first two games of the series. And after Kyle Schwarber ended a hitless streak of 21 at-bats dating back to the regular season with two home runs, I expect Bryce Harper to build off his own two-hit day yesterday and hit his first four-bagger of the series.
Harper entered yesterday’s game slashing .143/.250/.143 in these playoffs. That was a far cry from his .280/.394/.622 slash line in every other game in his postseason career.
Philadelphia’s top three hitters (Trea Turner, Schwarber, and Harper) are the only current Phillies with more than 10 career at-bats against Dodgers righty Tyler Glasnow. But Harper has had the most success in that split with four hits, including two going for extra bases.
At least 10 runs have been scored in every Dodgers home playoff game this season, and I expect Harper to be a big reason for another high-scoring game. He has a great chance of homering off Glasnow while he is still on the mound, as the righty has allowed 10 home runs in 47 1/3 career postseason innings while pitching to a 5.51 ERA.
Harper’s best home run implied odds are 24.39% through FanDuel’s +310. But the best return on a winning $10 wager is through DraftKings’ +336 odds, which would net $33.60 in profits if he homers.
