It may be challenging for baseball fans in North America to wake up and watch the first game of the 2025 MLB regular season when the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs square off in the Tokyo Dome at 6:10 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning, but for those who do tune in on FOX, it should be a doozy.

We have a premier pitching matchup for Game 1 of the Tokyo Series, as Yoshinobu Yamamoto takes on Shota Imanaga, and we're looking at the Dodgers moneyline odds today to see if the right-hander and his All-Star teammates can lead the World Series odds favorites to their first win of the campaign.

The Dodgers will be without one of their best players, though, as Mookie Betts is set to miss the Tokyo Series following an illness.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto (2024 stats): 7-2, 3.00 ERA, 1.11 WHIP

Shota Imanaga (2024 stats): 15-3, 2.91 ERA, 1.02 WHIP

Both of these pitchers were fantastic last year, serving as contenders by the MLB Rookie of the Year odds.

There isn't a ton separating the two starters, unless you believe Imanaga is due for some regression this season, which is probably the case.
