š° Best NRFI bets today (Tuesday, July 7)
Guardians vs. Twins NRFI (-130) - 7:40 p.m. ET
- Joey Cantillo (3.86 ERA) vs. Taj Bradley (3.86 ERA)
- NRFI records: Guardians (52-39) vs. Twins (38-53)
Cantillo is having a strong season for the Guardians, and it gets even better for him in this specific matchup. Byron Buxton (.245 xBA), Austin Martin (72% whiff rate), and Kody Clemens (33% K rate) will likely be the top three for the Twins today, and all have a difficult time against the left-hander. Overall, he's limited the Twins to just a .227 xBA across 47 plate appearances. Let's rock with him to get us three outs. On the other side, Bradley is striking this Guardians team out at a 40% clip - that's good enough for me against one of the best NRFI teams in the league. Fire this play up, I'd price this closer to -155.

Angels vs. Rangers NRFI (-145) - 8:05 p.m. ET
- Jose Soriano (3.42 ERA) vs. Jacob deGrom (3.48 ERA)
- NRFI records: Angels (44-47) vs. Rangers (34-56)
We've got a case of two large sample sizes here with low xBAs and high strikeout numbers. Yes, we'll take that to the bank. Soriano has kind of came back down to Earth over his last few starts, but he's still dominated this Rangers lineup over his career, limiting them to a .214 xBA while punching them out at a 24% clip. His counterpart, deGrom, needs no introduction, but it helps to know he's striking this Angels lineup out at a 27% rate. Let's fire this play up as our one-unit wager and see if we can sweep the slate one more time.

Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.
A NRFI (No Run First Inning) bet carries high variance, meaning success requires a disciplined, daily dive into the data. Before placing a wager, run through a strict checklist: analyze how the starting pitcher matches up against the top three hitters in the lineup, track underlying metrics like strikeout rates (K%) and expected batting averages (xBA), and review recent team-specific first-inning scoring trends. Because a single mistake or lucky hit can ruin the bet instantly, always use this daily routine to guide your wagers and scale your unit sizing accordingly to protect your bankroll.
