It's been almost 13 years since Conor McGregor and Max Holloway clashed, but they're meeting again on Saturday and we're breaking it down by looking at the best Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway 2 odds ahead of the tilt. We've had our best bets and predictions for the rematch at UFC 329.

McGregor hasn't taken the walk in over five years, so one has to wonder if ring rust will be an issue for the once-explosive champion. Holloway has been active throughout, most recently losing to Charles Oliveira in March. It's no surprise then that Holloway is a -225 moneyline betting favorite. The main card from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is set to get going at 9 p.m. ET, airing on Paramount+.

🥊 Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway fight preview

Both fighters have developed significantly since they last met.

For McGregor, it was his second UFC fight and two years before he claimed his first title belt. Holloway was on just his sixth UFC appearance, and wouldn't claim his first strap for three more years. Both men have developed significantly since then, and

Holloway's cardio is probably the biggest edge in the bout, with his last two bouts going to judges after five rounds. He's incredibly durable with just one KO/TKO loss and one submission loss on his record, and he was knocking out legit contenders as recently as 2024.

McGregor is incredibly explosive, with 19 of his 22 career wins coming via knockout. But the last KO he recorded was in 2020, and he's been on the wrong side of finishes in four of his last seen fights.

💰 Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway 2 prediction & best bet

Max Holloway via KO/TKO/DQ (-125)

The ship has sailed for McGregor.

Very few fighters have ever even attempted to return from a layoff as long as McGregor, and to come back to face Holloway is a sharp challenge. Holloway has remained active in the division, vying for a title as recently as 2024, he's dropped two of his last three fights - but those have been against Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira.

Once upon a time, perhaps this was different, but this is a power vs. pace battle that pace will win. Holloway will be the sharper fighter; he'll adjust quickly to whatever McGregor throws at him. Once that adjustment is made, it's just a matter of waiting out and wearing down McGregor. Like Nate Diaz in his return from a long-term hiatus back in 2021, I'm sure we'll see some sparks of the fighter McGregor once was in the opening minutes of the fight, but that will fade, and his conditioning (or lack thereof) will ultimately be his undoing.

The only thing Notorious about this Saturday will be how badly McGregor will be beaten.
