⚾ Trea Turner (Phillies) to hit a home run ⭐⭐⭐

We turn to the overflowing homer haven that is Coors Field once more, with the allure of the Rockies-Phillies series again proving too difficult to resist. Philadelphia has beaten the Rockies by a combined score of 16-7 across the first two games of the series, swatting four homers along the way.

Turner hasn't joined in on that baseball-clubbing fun yet, but he's been otherwise sizzling recently. He's recorded nine hits over his last six games, four of which have gone for extra bases. Zooming out a little further, Turner has been rising up throughout May, with his slugging percentage (.355 to .475) and OPS (.717 to .829) notably higher than during March and April.

And now he gets to tee off on a lefty in Carson Palmquist who's making just his second MLB start. His MLB debut went about as poorly as any pitcher with the Rockies stench lately, with Palmquist allowing five earned runs without registering a strikeout over four innings.

Turner has displayed respectable power throughout his career, and plenty from a shortstop who has averaged 22.7 homers over his past three seasons. The righty also excels against lefties, with a batting average that spikes from .288 when facing a right-hander to .345 against a southpaw this season.
