I just stumbled onto this epic thread and one question immediately came to mind:
Are you a leprechaun? Surely this was already asked, but I haven't seen it.
On a serious note, I would like to congratulate you on your progress so far. As an added incentive and I am willing to send you $2000 (cash) if you can make it below the 200 pound mark by New Years day 2012. I really think you can do it. You have a great attitude and seem like a genuinely nice kid. Good luck to you, sir.

Im 25 and im tipping the scale at about 240 right now, I know that doesnt sound bad but I used to be a black belt in japanese kenpo and fight in tournaments I was 170 and about nine percent body fat now im over 30 percent body fat and I feel like shit, I just started hitting the gym and running, my goal is to be under 200 in three months and get back to fighting. This is great man keep it up kid. when you get down to 250 im sending 250 points!

Good job my man, hope you reach your goal
I've started dieting & exercising 2 months ago, went from 205lbs to 170lbs in that time. Would've reached my goal of 165 already had I decided to quit drinking like you did, unfortunately that was the one vice I couldn't stop (well, that and smoking lol).
It gets a lot easier over time, especially when you see the results. Even up to the point where I wonder if I can stop the diet when I reach my goal, since my body has grown so accustomed to it The craving for junkfood and late night snacks has completely gone, hope they never return

I am not a leprechaun, nor am I Irish. I seem to get this fairly often, however.
I am looking forward to trying to take your challenge by the horns and bring it to the ground. That is certainly going to be more of a challenge than 5lbs/4 weeks. That will be 80lbs/4.5months. That's going to be a staggering 4.44 pounds every week for the next 4.5 months. That means, absolutely no alcohol for the next 4.5 weeks. AHHHHHHHHHHH.
WVU, if I can make this goal of yours, it will mean that I will go alcohol free for 5 months. That will be incredible.
This is great incentive in so many different ways. Weight loss and turning my booze cruise habits into something 1,000,000 times more manageable.
Thank you so much for putting this up on the table. It means a ton to me.
Video update coming soon.

As much as many people have/will hassle me about this, it won't happen.
I love my beard.
I will however make one proposition.
If I make the goal of any of these bets for $$$CASH$$$ and they get paid out, I will put up a poll to see if the majority want the beard to be shaved.
If they get paid out, and the majority do want it paid out. I will shave the beard!
Dinner time.
I'll see you guys later.

I'm dieting right now too and have managed to lose 40 pounds in the past month and a half. A couple things that worked for me:
1. Keep portions smaller than you think you need. The body does not register the feeling of fullness four 15 minutes, so a lot of times I will think I'm still hungry and if I wait a little I am perfectly fine.
2. Eat a small snack every three hours, no meals. These snacks will keep your metabolism going and the weight falling off.
That's just my 2 cents, but no matter what you do work hard! I know you can do it

that much weight loss in that short of time may not be easy and may not even be healthy so I will extend my offer of under 200 pounds by March 1. $2000 cash, bro. Even if you come up short you will be winning.

Oh dear lord. March 1st is much more plausible. You got me on the wagon bud. I'm going to make this happen!
Sorry about the delay with the video update everyone. I was forced out of the house before I could get it uploaded.
I am working on getting it uploaded right now.
WHY has NOBODY MENTIONED THE FUTURISTIC DATE IN THE FIRST VIDEO?!?!?! i mentioned it TWICE a while ago and STILL noone else has said anything. THE DATE IS FROM THE FUTURE ON THE NEWSPAPER. LOOK AT IT

I already addressed the fact...chill bud.
I have no idea why it's showing up that way when it's fuzzy.
In my last video you can see that I was trying to fix it because I could even see it while I was video taping.

Hey bud, dont even be drawn in to addressing posters like charger, its a waste of time and takes away from the positive vibe in this thread. You've really got a good thing going here.
I say keep the beard. Or cut it off. Or trim it. Ya, thats my opinion on the matter.
Share your diet with us all please. What you're doing is working. Great job!

man, if you go to a buddy's 21st celebration and don't have a drink...a) you're far more dedicated than most, b) you're kinda shady, c) you're far more dedicated than most, d) you're kinda shady.
couple jack and diet's won't kill you. walk another mile the next few days.
i love how you're using this site to motivate you to change your life, you're young and it can still happen at your age. it hasn't yet caused me to stop drinking and eating chicken wings, but it's impressive. thing is, i still am doubtful that you'll weigh less at 32 in 10 years than you do now. still feels like a short term 'i better not **** up in front of sbr' kinda thing.
i've said before, if you lived next door to me i think we'd be pretty good friends, so i feel like i can criticize a bit w/o being called out on video for being a hater, and i am 100% rooting for you. and last week watching your face/reaction to your weight brought a smile to my face. that said, i just hope that if/when progress slows you don't end up becoming discouraged.
what is the target weight for tomorrow?

I say keep the awesome beard! You're already getting rid of all that weight, no need to get rid of such an epic case of redbeard!
