Stay away from Carbs from, white bread, white rice, sugar (no fukkn sugar unless it comes from fruit), pasta (unless whole grain). beer (hard one), soda. you get the idea.

eat Carbs from whole grains. oatmeal, brown rice, wheat bread, A good way to realize they the Carbs you want is they are generally high in dietary fiber.

If you are going about things right and putting in work in the gym you have to have Carbs, i guess there some diets that say "no carbs" and maybe they work but i doubt it has the long term effects a lifestyle change will have.

        Creature,
You're getting some free, quality education in here about diet. There's actually been a good number of knowledgeable posters in here. Anyways, as Big Dan was saying about carbs, they're certainly fine and necessary and they're also not created equally. Glycemic index and glycemic load is actually a pretty good indicator of the quality of carb but worry about that stuff later when you're "fine tuning" your diet. Right now you're doing the right thing. You've changed your diet for the better, maybe not perfect but a hell of a lot better and you're back in the gym. That's plenty right now. Fine tune later. Just keep eating clean and working hard and you will continue to see results. When you plateau, which you will, then re-evaluate. But until then it's full steam ahead.

On top of the great advice most of the time the love has been tremendous. CreaturE is a very likeable guy and I hope that he realizes how important he is. Besides thread working for CreaturE a few more are benefiting from it. Big concern for how long and it is up to all of us to maintain our efforts. Ten weeks ago CreaturE was trapped in his patrents basement drinking himself to sleep nightly with no life. Now he has a job that he likes and working out in a gym. Keep it coming guys and lets keep pushing. I would love to see CreaturE at SBR bash next year trimmed down to the man that he desires to be.

Thanks a ton for your kind words no1!
That really means a lot to me.
Ten weeks ago was a very dim and dark time for me. For now, and hopefully forever, that is in the past.
I'd really like to get to one of these SBR bashes, they sound awesome. It would also be incredible to be a slimmed down form of myself when I get to one to really show you guys in person and not just on a youtube video how much you guys are truely helping me.
Thanks again everyone. I really do mean that from the bottom of my heart.

i agree it took balls for CreaturE to come on to a forum and ask for help, even more so to post video's. im in a similar postion to CreaturE and for the past six months ive been on off diets mostly off lol, and his thread & courage has inspired me to stick too it also. so thank you CreaturE

PS. the support given by the people in this thread is a credit to the type of people we have in SBR.

Good work, boys. Just remember, you're going to have times here very soon where you're going to be tested, and not on SBR to get inspiration. This is where you'll see what you're made of, how mentally tough you really are. Conquer this, and everything else you face will seem like childs play.

I never told him not to eat any carbs. I told him to get his carbs from Veggies, Fruits (blueberries, blackberries healthiest, any fruit is ok in moderation)and Nuts (almonds preferably).

Almonds (natural, unsalted) are one of the healthiest foods in the world (read up on them) and taste great. 3 grams of fiber per serving (1 oz) and they don't upset your stomach and they fill you up. Eat 2 oz a day as a snack instead of other crap, and you will not only shed more weight, you'll feel a hell of a lot better.

CMN, I eat a good handful of almonds every day along with always eating a good amount of fruit for lunch. I probably need to get some more veggies in there however.

I haven't eaten a snack in 9 days lol. That's the hardest part.
It wasn't me eating McDonalds or other super fatty, greasy, crumby foods, it was constantly having a snack in front of me and subliminally eating it without even noticing until the whole container would disappear.

Take a day or two off from the gym creature. It does your mind and body good. Might stop you from getting sick in the summer time again as well
