The 14th amendment insurrection clause: it doesn't apply to the office of the president. It specifically spells out who it applies to. Representatives, senators and electors. The President holds a different duty, takes a different oath as chief executive. Why do you suppose he hasn't been charged for the supposed insurrection? Take a wild guess. Your brain must be confused at this point. Trump hasn't been charged or tried or convicted of any insurrection because they know they can't charge him. Not only that, he told people to peacefully march to a legal protest.

That 14th amendment insurrection clause isn't self enforcing. It's not enforced by the State. Section 5 says that ONLY congress has the power to enforce it, they did so by codifying insurrections in the criminal code.


Also, Trump offered 10,000 national guards to for J6 and it was denied by the speaker of the house who makes the final call. He offered it more than once. Pelosi refused.
