has anyone read any links or heard any direct reports that any healthy bodied people contracted this and then died? Doesn't sound like this thing is something scary like Ebola to the very vast majority of people that get it. So even if it inevitably has a widespread outbreak in the US for 2-5 years with vast infections every standard cold/flu season. I don't think we are gonna see any bubonic plague in the streets and hospital kind of scenes.

We should have a vaccine in 8-24 months just like we have a Flu vaccine.

there will be quite a few opportunities for investors to figure out what companies will benefit the most from this. And also a great time to time the market in general for more blue chip stocks as they over react to this "crisis". Still gotta Cap how the media and mass hysteria is gonna cripple any sort of brick and morter and supply chain for possibly quite some time.

Agreed. But is is extremely risky for elderly and immune compromised people. So what do we do - isolate them all? Impossible. But yeah, unless you are very old or sick, you ain't gonna die from this. The flu is a bigger risk to you.

a family of 4 was wiped out in China, but the younger son wasn't in the home and didn't get infected. The chinese director, his sister, his wife and his parents died I believe.

yeah, I think our President said it very well. We really need to do the things they tell you about but people don't take too serious in not spreading all the other nasty shit we spread in the cold months..... Wash your hands, Try not to touch your dirty ass hands to your face when you are in public, encourage people in shared workspaces to stay the penetrate at home if you feel shitty and don't "power through"

I think the CDC has had plenty of advance time to get all the hospitals, emergi-care, and health care entities ready for worse case scenario.

but the reality is that a huge amount of people are going to get this and be completely ASYMPTOMATIC and pass it on to people.

I think its a harsh and sad reality that we will lose many elderly people, otherwise sick people, some young young people, just like we lose 50,000 of them a year to the flu.

I do believe that the over reaction by the News may in fact decrease the amount we lose to the Flu by actually finally getting more people to get the vaccine that has been available for almost 100 years. AND taking more serious trying not to spread and contract germs by little behavior changes.

I might not get a fever or have ANY Symptoms.

But I'll be out there spreading it today.

I have very little doubt that by 2023 we will all have been exposed to it. But most of us won't get it. and many that get it, won't know it. The majority that know it, will recover fine in their homes just like the flu, the bad cases have hospitals to go to. Unforunately people that are susceptible to dying of the flu will also die of this

but how many of you got a flu shot this year? don't think of it as a personal choice, but do it to prevent spreading it to the 16k that died from it this year because they were immunocompromised.
