Who is "the rich"? Actually low tax rates absolutely create jobs. You obviously do not own a business which is fine. But imagine if you made tooth picks and your company, after all the write offs, earned $1 million before taxes. After your state, local and federal taxes you end up with $400,000. Sounds good but then you learn if you relocated to Canada your take home would be $700,000. You don't have to be a Wharton School of Business grad(like Trump) to see there is a problem. Your competitors outside of the US are eventually going to run you out of business.

One more point on why the worlds highest business taxes are a bad idea; it's the poor people that end up paying them. You go buy a box of diapers for $15. P&G(the manufacturer) is paying a 35% tax to the government on each box of diapers. That's $5 in taxes that Mr and Mrs working family are actually paying. Businesses don't pay taxes, people do. P&G is going to make a 10% profit on their cost and the corporate tax is simply a cost. A cost paid for the majority of the time by the folks who can least afford it.

Lowering taxes does work and it will work this time. Research 1980 when Reagan inherited 12% unemployment - 18% interest rates - 11% inflation, now that's a REAL recession. Massive tax cuts pull us out of a near depression.

You see it in black and white and know the US has the highest corporate tax rate on the planet. There is no disagreement there? I will post the global rate table if need be but I think we all agree that the US is the highest taxed. Certainly even as you lean left you must realize we are losing business because lower tax rates are luring companies away, our companies. Obama has mentioned our corp tax rate is not competitive.
