I disagree about the 12th century scenario you bring up.
It might be a shock at first but once he gets used to modern society he would adjust well and still would be able to rationally reject evolution.
The Biblical creation scenario can't be disproven. Evolution has been. The big bang? It only raises more questions than it answers.
