#247Just got this in at the wire...
San Diego -7.5 (1x)
Actually had Pitt -10 for a unit earlier, but didn't post it in time so obviously will not take credit for it.
Thank god for Cincy bailing me out somewhat after totally misjudging Texans/Colts!! Ugh!Comment -

#251Wow, I got Romo'd!I'm ashamed that as an experienced capper I could let that happen. Oh well, nice burial to finish the regular season. This week was nearly THREE times worse than ANY previous week!! FUKK!!!!!
The tally:

Week 2: 6-4-1, +3.30 units
Week 3: 4-7-1, -1.75 units
Week 4: 1-1-0, -1.10 units* (*with Internet connectivity, was to be 4-2, +2 units, just for the record)
Week 5: 8-5-0, +2.35 units
Week 6: 4-4-0, -3.13 units
Week 7: 8-8-0, +2.93 units
Week 8: 7-7-0, +2.30 units
Week 9: 6-7-0, -0.02 units
Week 10: 5-3-0, +2.35 units
Week 11: 5-1-0, +4.90 units
Week 12: 6-5-0, +2.30 units
Week 13: 5-3-0, +0.03 units
Week 14: 5-1-0, +4.96 units
Week 15: 7-9-1, -2.89 units
Week 16: 5-1-0, +5.80 units
Week 17: 3-7-0, -8.28 units

#253Second season has arrived!
Green Bay -7.5, -105 (2x)
Have to play this. I mean I know you can't exclusively do this, but just look at the thing on paper: Green Bay 7-1 ATS at home this season... Charles Woodson coming back, which settles the D (after Matthews also returned)... receivers all finally healthy... An experienced MVP QB vs. a kid making his first playoff start... A dome team playing in frigid, lousy conditions... The only reasons I wouldn't go higher than two units are, well 1) the best RB in the league if not ever(!), and 2) that Minnesota has come together and played quite well lately... But still, I can't see how Rodgers doesn't do his thing here, and I would think he/they are even more focused after last year's playoff debacle.
And strong lean but not locked in yet as I'm still studying it:
Baltimore -6.5Comment -

#254As for today's opener, I'm undecided on the side. Initially, I was thinking definitely Bengals (like apparently everyone else on this forum), but I'm starting to get scared off that and even lean the other way. Sorry, but Dalton and BGE just don't fill me with confidence despite the Bengals' solid defense. Houston has definitely tailed off lately, but they are the more balanced team.
So here's the one play I'm willing to throw a unit at, and then we'll see what happens in-game or at the half...

#255I echo your sentiment on every one of your picks/leans. Can't take a side in the Hou/Cin game, but the Under looks enticing, especially 1H. Also believe Mike McCarthy will have his defence fired up and ready to contain Peterson on home soil. As for Rodgers, there is no reason to believe he won't be having another big game, with a healthy wide receiver corpse. I expect the Pack to get a better share of time possession than they did last week in Minny too.
Still unsure if I will bet the Ravens -7, but it's also a strong lean of mine.
BOL to us on Saturday's games!Comment -

That is a very attractive teaser, BH. I've also been debating some teasers. The other one I was strongly considering and may play is that GB -2 with Cincy/Hou Under 48.5. But fukk, I just have real uncertainty about this opening game!Comment -

#262It's hard not to slobber over it. Pats have their full arsenal healthy on offense now and already blew Houston out this year... but I want to look at it some more. The problem is that if you don't jump, that'll cross 10 for sure I'd think.
Having said that, I see it's -8.5 at Bookmaker. Oh, I think I like the over 49 as well. I'm not sure that Talib or Dennard are healthy for the Pats, and without them the defensive backfield takes a huge hit. So you could end up with a 35-24 type final. But again, need time to look more closely...Comment -

Haven't locked in Ravens yet but probably will. My bad for waiting, as now I'll prob have to pay a high price if I want the -6.5. But waited because really didn't finish my research on it. Leaning Seattle -3 in the late one, but that is only a slight lean as I've barely looked at it.Comment -

#264Baltimore -7, -114 (2.5x)
Not happy that I dilly-dallied here, should have gotten this in at -6.5, -110 or less, days ago... just had wanted to look at all the matchups closer. Anyway, can't see why I even need to write this up. The Colts are a nice story, but looking at the thing on paper, it should end today pretty clearly. Ravens are a playoff-tested, veteran team playing at HOME. If they choose to, they should be able to take FULL advantage of RAY RICE and a terrific set of run-blockers against a subpar front seven. And then, when needed, Flacco (even though the guy can frustrate the hell out of you) should have his way hitting Boldin, Pitta, and Smith all day against a subpar backfield. On the opposite side, everyone should know that Luck only completes like 50%, and against a smart, veteran defense, I'd be pretty surprised if he doesn't get duped and then picked off a couple of times. As much as I hate Ed Reed, the guy lives for this shit today... getting a rookie QB, at home in a playoff game?! Now there's concern that Pagano was part of the Ravens, but I never put too too much stock into that "shedding insight" thing... I mean it's all on film anyway. Gotta roll with this.
Undecided on the second game, but will prob play something.Comment -

#265And the second game...
Seattle -3, -102 (2x)
Again, no need for a writeup, everyone should know the deal here. Two outstanding QBs (but one is gimpy), two tremendous RBs... but a huge difference in quality of defensive players makes the difference here. Seattle has the potential to completley lock down the Redskins. And with the way Wilson's been playing, and Lynch in beast mode, you have to go 'Hawks. The trip cross-country concerns you, but it's playoff time now, everyone will be at their best.
And this ML parlay:
Baltimore ML + Seattle ML, +111 (2x)
