#354Hey folks -- Sorry, been another very hectic weekend, wanted to cap the games more and be in here sooner...
Anyway, call me crazy, but I have to do this:
Cleveland +7, +100 (SIA) (1x)
I don't believe in Ponder, and the Browns have a solid D. I always thought Brian Hoyer could be a smart and capable NFL QB and think he could actually improve their chances over Weeden. Plus you've got the everyone's-throwing-dirt-on-us mentality. I actually want to play the 1H +4, -105, might even like that better, but eh, I dunno.Comment -

#364Overinvested in the Niners today and buried myself. Based on correct plays vs. incorrect plays I should be fairly even and just down juice, but that's what happens when you try and correct everything by doubling down. And by the way, if anyone can even remotely understand who the Niners are this year, can you kindly explain them to me??? Cuz I have no fukkin idea.
So tonight, I'm feeling the over. I don't think the Steelers hold down Cutler/Forte/Marshall for the entire game and that they prob get at least into the 20s. Then you just need Ben to get enough protection from his line and for he and Tomlin to come up with enough ways to generate some offense to get maybe 17 and the over should be good. Not to mention a Bears defensive (or even S/T) score, which happen all the time.
Chicago/Pittsburgh over 40.5, -110 (2x)
Kind of like Chicago -2 as well, but only a small play there of 0.5 units.Comment -

#366Just got home and just placed! I'm rolling with a couple of small, more or less action plays here. I think Oakland's surprisingly decent defense and run game plus Denver's banged up O-line plus Denver slow starts plus the Terrell Pryor wildcard = the following:
Oakland 1H +11, -110 (1x)
Oakland/Denver 1H Under 26 (1x)Comment -

#368Am I living in bizarro world? When did it get so incredibly easy for NFL teams to cover gigantic spreads? Aren't these always the games the public gets buried on? When did the winning picks become the easy, obvious picks? We haven't seen this much non-parity in the NFL in years. Makes for some boring-ass football games.
Anyway, anyone have a clue about 2H, cuz I give up with this bullsh-t weekend.Comment -

#373Just here to tally up from last week before Week 4 begins...
The story of week 3 was that I let things get away from me by going on tilt with live bets -- that is the first and last time I'm going to do that this season! (There were more still that I didn't even post!) About once every year I have to relearn the lesson not to "bet angry."Anyway, things got goofy last weekend (24 plays is out of hand), but it could have been worse, and my discipline has now returned to me! Looking to get back to the green type this weekend...
Week 1: 6-5, +1.42 units
Week 2: 5-3, +3.15 units
Week 3: 11-13, -3.75 units
Total: 22-21, +0.82 units
As evidence of the above claim of discipline, I am not making a play (yet) on tonight's game. Not gonna bet just to bet, as this game is tough as hell to call. But will be watching with a mind toward 2H or live plays -- good luck and enjoy!Comment -

#379Cleveland +4 -105 (SIA) (1x)
Cincy pretty banged up in the back end of their defense... Cleveland with weapons now that Josh Gordon is back and Jordan Cameron playing like a beast, and a half-decent QB to get the ball to them. I sort of like the over 42.5 in this game as well but not playing it for the moment.Comment -

Too tempting not to play... so many ways this goes over... Stafford playing well and with shifty and/or undefendable weapons... but at same time Bears D keeps scoring TDs as well... Cutler/Forte/Marshall playing well... etc.Comment -

#384Nothing jumped out at me with the late games, so holding fast right now, happy with how the day's going so far...
I even got a BETTER number when the Seattle 2H dropped to -2.5 so added a unit onto that! And hey, I can still get the under if both D's can take over and I get a tie!Glad the Cleve and Chi/Det over plays were so no-sweat jobs.

#385I like the price so gonna take a shot tonight with:
New England ML +140 (1x)
I know a lot of signs point to a nice home win for Atlanta tonight, and even I think there's a good shot that happens, but the fact is the Pats D is better than it's been in a while, and Brady's starting to get a little more rapport with his young targets. I see this game as a tossup, so I'll take the +140.
And for fun, I like this prop:
NE/Atlanta Total QB Sacks Over 4, +130 (0.5x)
The Falcons' tackles are below average and Pats have great edge rushers plus a good push in the middle. Vollmer a little gimpy for Pats too.Comment
