WNBA 6/19/11

Chicago/Connecticut under (153) 2x (Locked) WINNER

I have this one capped at 150 and wanted to go big (around 5x) when the line was at 155 earlier this morning. However, neither of my locals opened their WNBA lines on this game until now so I was not able to get a better number. It's about to go down to 152 or 152.5, as all the money coming in has been under money since the line topped out at 157 mid-morning yesterday. As I stated in an earlier post, there is a big sharp (Billy or whoever) trying for a middle here. He got a great opportunity as it looks like he bet the over 152 at open and then got the under at 157. I'm hoping he doesn't hit it and the game stays at 152 or under. I wish I could have gotten 155 or more, but I will take the 153 for 1x. If the line goes up before game time, that would both interest me and scare me. I think it's going to stay around this 152-153 range though so I don't anticipate much more movement. BOL...

I have this one capped at 165 so I'm going to take another shot with this under. We were on this big the other day and will take another shot today. The game from Friday was on track for the under until these two teams combined for a whopping 60 points in the 4th quarter. The WNBA doesn't see many 60 point quarters, much less in the fourth quarter. I don't see that happening again today. Minnesota shot really well last game hitting over 52% of their shots. I think we see that percentage come down to earth, but Atlanta stay in the 44% range. BOL...

Indiana/Phoenix under (175) 2x (Locked) LOSS

I have this one capped at 165, but I'm not going big. We need to be careful about these high totals in WNBA because most of the overs have been hitting so far with totals set at 175 or higher. Nevertheless, we'll throw 1x on it now and see where the line goes. If we see the line drop and some big money follow us on the under, we may double up. There are some strong head to head trends which favor the under here. I must confess I love all four unders today, however, the last game between Seattle and LA I have capped right at the current number of 150, so I'm going to lay off that one for now. BOL...

I should probably buy the half point up to +3, but I like LA to win tonight at home. They have been tough at home so far and I think Parker dominates. Let's start off Monday with a big win! Weaver and Sanchez going against two teams with offenses that are struggling a bit. Both pitchers have low WHIPS on the season and in their last three games. I think we see an easy under in this one tomorrow as I don't see the Marlins touching Weaver and Sanchez shutting down the Angels. I like the Angels to end up winning in a 3-1 or 3-2 type game. Thanks...if you like the Angels under, eat the juice and get it at 7. Most books, including Pinny, have moved to 6.5 as I predicted. I don't suspect you will 7 the rest of the day and it will close at 6.5 at -110 or worse. If you can get 6.5 at plus odds, I would jump on that as well. However, 7 is always preferred because of the possibility of a push.

Sometimes, in these cases, I will put half of my stake on the under at (7)(-120) and then put the rest on the under at 6.5 (+105) so that my juice evens out a bit. However, the risk in doing that is losing on the 4-3, 5-2, or 6-1 final score push. I can't tell you how many totals I have already lost this season by the hook where I would have at least pushed otherwise. That is the main reason I would recommend paying the juice at 7. BOL...

Because Hudson seems to be struggling lately after coming back from the DL and Toronto is the hotter team right now, I'm going to take a shot with the Blue Jays in this spot. BOL...

This long rain delay scares me in the Angels games. The only good part is that they delayed it before the start of the game so hopefully the starting pitchers planned accordingly. Generally, however, rain delays favor overs. This is my favorite play today by far, so I'm eager to see it take place...but only if the pitchers are at their best.

Cashed it! Thanks for the insight. MLB is my weakest sport & I unashamedly follow good cappers like you so it's really appreciated. My main focus now that NBA's over is NRL (Aussie Rugby League). Had a huge weekend on League so I'm treading lightly on the WNBA but my early leans are the under on both Seattle/Tulsa 155.5 & Phoenix/San Antonio 182.5.
