Tonight's the first night I've made any plays since last Saturday so I'm hoping to start out with a positive night. I feel confident. Although 6 outs sounds like a lot when you want no runs.

#2490I was on the Mercury and I'm on Seattle and the Under per ROAG. I also made a play on the under in the 2H of the Mercury game and almost did the same for the Sparks game as well but passed. I thought I tailed you on that game over as well too, but I guess I forgot. Not bad so far though.
I may make a play on the 2H of the SEA game, but we'll see.
2 more outs...
Went final right as I posted...
Thanks for the Winner!!!

Devil Rays/Astros under (7) 5x (Locked) WINNER
I may add to this play once the ump assignment comes out. This could very possibly be my biggest MLB play of the season so far if I decide to bump it 2x up to 6x.
Shields has returned to dominance and is facing a weak hitting Astros lineup. On the other hand, Rodriguez has pitched really well going with seven quality starts in a row.
I expect both pitchers to do well tomorrow. They both have WHIPs and ERAs under 1 in their last three games and are a collective 17 - 8 in favor of the under this year. They should both go deep into the game and stop the struggling offenses of both teams.
Good luck.Comment -

#2502WNBA 6/24/11 Recap
3 - 0 = +7x
WNBA Season 2011
23 - 14 = +12x
We continue our consistent run of profit in the WNBA to start the season. After 37 plays, we are now hitting at 62% on the season with 12x of profit. Not bad for my first season capping the ladies!
MLB 6/24/11 Recap
3 - 1 = +6x
MLB plays in this thread:
151 - 145 = +10.4x
We started off this week with some horribly bad beats on Monday and Tuesday which saw us lose a little under 5x, but we end up rebounding huge on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday winning a little over 11x for a +5.9x MLB profit on the week heading into our weekend plays. We are now +26x in profit on the MLB season as a whole, including our early-season MLB plays which were documented in my NBA playoff first round threads. We are well onto our way of hitting our +100x goal for profit this MLB season.
Good luck on everyone's plays today!Comment -

Rockies/Yankees over (9) (+100) 1x (Locked)
With the short right field in NY, I think these teams are read to hit on this Saturday afternoon. Yes, Sabathia is pitching, but the Rockies have hit left-handed pitching relatively well hitting over .250 in their last ten games. I'm not a believer in Cook having to face a tough American League lineup where all the hitters know this is a big TV game with everyone watching because no other games are going on and will be gearing up for a big game. The under hit yesterday, with Colorado winning 4-2 so I think we see the hitters double up on those totals. I expect the Yanks to come out strong with the bats today and rock Cook to avenge yesterday's loss. I would expect the Yanks to score at least 6 runs today. I think the Rockies will get 3. The question is whether we can exceed those totals and I'm betting the answer is yes. With Rapuano behing the plate and him being one of the better "over" umps out there, I think we see at least 10 runs in this one. Good luck!
Diamondbacks/Tigers under (7) (+100) 1x (Locked)
I generally never take Tigers unders unless Verlander is pitching. So far I am 3 - 0 when taking the under in his game and I think we have a pitching matchup today that can make it 4 - 0. Althout Collmenter had a rough outting in his last game, I think we see him rebound against this tough Tigers lineup. Both Verlander and Collmenter have WHIPs under 1.00 on the season and ERA's under 2.55. There are some strong team and umpire (Muchlinski) trends which point under here as well. After the huge day for the hitters in yesterday's game, I think we see some pitcher's revenge today and I'll roll with the under here for 1x. Good luck!
Oakland/Philly under (7) 2x (Locked)
The fact that we had a 1-0 game yesterday really scares me because I generally lean over in these spots. After not hitting in one game, teams usually have a nice offensive output in the game that follows. However, with Hamels and Cahill going today, I think that situational play goes out the window. Cahill has struggled in two of his last three starts, but rebounded well in his last start winning 2-1 over Cain and the Giants (we cashed the under in that one). You generally can't go wrong taking the under in A's games as they have been one of the better under bets all year long with their weak lineup. With Hamels pitching lights out the entire year, he should dominate this A's lineup even though they were just shut out yesterday. With Hernandez behing the plate who generally leans under, I think we have a good shot here for back-to-back unders in this series. I may add 1x to this play later on tonight. Good luck!Comment -

I missed the opener of 8, but I still like this play. Bud Norris is red-hot right now and has just been dominant. Even with Pence back in the lineup, I think Davis can limit the Astros lineup. I actually like the Astros to win today, but I'm just not sure about paying -120. I will roll with the under now at plus odds and wait out the ML movement. If I can get the Astros at a bit better price, I will take them on the ML. Good luck!Comment -

Conn/Ind over (153) 1x (Locked)
Although these two teams' head-to-head trends point under, I think we see this one just squeak over today. I have this one capped at 154 so I don't really like the number I got here but once again I miss the steam because my locals don't open up on these games until about noon on game day. If I was getting opening number, my record would be even better. In this one, we have the Sun coming off a poor shooting percentage against Chicago where they shot 39.8% and the Fever coming off a great shooting percentage of 54%. I think we see both teams shoot in the 45% range today which should be just enough based on the expect pace. I expect the 1h to be low scoring and was contemplating the 1h under, but I just don't like the number. However, I expect a fervent 2h with a quicker pace which should push this one just over the posted total. The Sun are coming off a game over having hit 5 overs out of their last 7 games and Indiana is coming off two overs in a row. I think both teams' trends to the over continues tonight and this game just squeaks over the posted total.
Pho/Chicago under (176) 1x (Locked)
I am desperately trying to find information about effect of back-to-back games on scoring within the WNBA. However, my theory is that back-to-back games will hurt scoring in the WNBA and this is the first back-to-back game for the Mercury this year. I expect their bodies do not adjust well to the extra rigors of travel and b2b play and Tuarasi and Co. do not shoot well tonight against a stingy Chicago defense. Chicago is coming off a great shooting performance hitting almost 56% of their shots in their last game. On the other side, the Mercury shot over 52% last night. I think both teams' shooting performances come back down to earth tonight and these two keep it under 43% tonight. I have this one capped at 171, so there is a little bit of wiggle room here with a big number of 176 and this starting to drop. I may add 1x to this play later on. Good luck!Comment -

Kiroda has made me some solid profit on unders this year and I expect that to continue tonight. He is red hot in last three starts with a WHIP of 1.02 and an ERA of 1.45. Chatwood is nice young pitcher with decent numbers and is 6-6 o/u on the year. The Angels have been one of the better under bets all year and with over hitting yesterday at 11 runs, I think we see more of a pitcher's dual today. Good luck!Comment -

A lot of unders today and here is one more. Yes, there is a history of these two teams going over in San Diego, but I really don't think results from previous years matter. Both Jurrjens and Moseley are pitching well and both offenses are on the weaker side. Both teams lean under as does the ump. Line movement points under and I'm rolling that way too.
