Yes....I know. My message about the limitation on runs was posted in the 7th inning before those additional runs wee scored. Regardless, generally, if you are at 3 runs between the 2nd and 9th inning, the under will cash the majority of time. It was just a fluke not a bad call.

MLB 6/22/11

Astros ML (+185) 1x (Locked)
Myers has a WHIP under 1 in his last three games. Lewis has an ERA over 10 in his last three games. If Houston can steal this one, it would be this one. I'm rolling with the vet Myers at an awesome price in a regional rivalry game where the Stros are trying to avoid the sweep. I think they get it done today.

Seattle/Washington under (7.5) 2x (Locked)
Bedard v. Lannan in a battle of two of the hottest lefties in baseball. I really like this play. We should have cashed the under in this series yesterday, if not for a miracle single off the pitchers leg to extend the bottom of the ninth and the grand slam that followed. I expect much less offensive firepower in this game as the lefties look to cut off some the left handed power on these teams. Both teams hit lefties poorly and the ump has a slight under lean. By gametime, I expect the public percentages to even out a bit and the split to be closer to 50/50. I may add to this play later.

Reds ML (-106) 1x (Locked) (1st Game of Double-Header)
Leake has pitched great recently and I'm never sold on sweaty-Freddie for the Yanks despite his relatively good start to the season. I think the Reds bats awake in this early game and the Reds win this one late in the game. We are getting a pretty good price here for the Reds at home.

I will be playing the under in that game.

On the side, and despite it being the public play, I think you have to ride the streaks and roll with the Twins. It's tough to bet against Twins right now, although, Vogelsong has been surprisingly good and it's a late West Coast game so anything can happen. Despite the streaks, I still view this one as a coin-flip and would rather roll with the under in a game where the teams and ump both trend under and the two pitchers have been pitching really well. Good luck on whatever you choose.

The line movement here says over. Actual baseball factors lean under. You would like to have both, but in this case they contradict each other. I can understand the over because of the hot bats of the Twins and the chance that Vogelsong falls apart. However, I lean under. Who is on the over?

Twins/Giants under (6.5)(+105) 1x (Locked)

I've been waiting to get under 7 but the books just never made that move to that key number. That tells me the books are weary of the under here, despite late movement on the over and line movement in general that favored the over. I like this play because both the teams and the ump trend under in this spot and both pitchers have generally pitched to the under. Vogelsong is 9-1 in favor of the under this year and even though the Twins are hot offensively, I think he can keep them to 3 and under. Blackburn should also do well against a lineup that has not been great of late for the Giants. I'll roll with the under in this spot and go against the line movement. Good luck.

I'm locking this in now because I don't suspect we'll see many 7.5's from here on out. This is another good pitching matchup in this series with Pineda going against Marquis. I know Marquis well and enjoy wagering on him. He is very athletic and when he is on, he is very good. Marquis has actually pitched to the over for the most part this year, however, in this one I suspect we don't see many runs. Marquis is going to want to outshine the rookie and Pineda is looking to bounce back from one of his worst outtings of the year, so I expect both pitchers to be prepared. Although the Nats offense is hot, we should have had two unders already in this series and I expect this one to make up for the first game. Good luck.

I was still able to get 7.5 this morning and, despite the high juice, I am making this a 2x play. I think we see a classic pitcher's dual much like we did in game 2 of this series between Bedard and Lannon. Good luck.

We had a nice night in MLB last night going 4 - 3 = +4.5x

So we are pretty much back to even on the week after some really bad beats on Monday and Tuesday. Now it's all profit from here on out...

I lean to the Twins/Giants under again with Lincecum on the mound. However, with Welke -- one of the biggest "over" umps out there -- behind the plate and Lincecum struggling lately, I'm not sure. Probably a no-play now.

There is a really small MLB card today. My 2x play on the Mariners/Nationals under is my favorite MLB play so far. I will be looking for others though...let's see what we can find.

Phillies/Cardinals under (7.5)(+105) 1x (Locked)

The Cardinals need a shutout-like performance from Carpenter and as a veteran and ace of the staff, I expect him to finally put together that type of performance in what will almost surely be playoff-like atmosphere. I don't expect the Cardinals to rip Oswalt, but they should be able to score 3 today off him. I expect a low scoring game with a Cardinals win and may play the Cards ML as well. Good luck.
