I had a blind lean on the under at 8, but can't say anything for sure because I haven't run the numbers. I can't imagine my model would have anything under 7 on this matchup though. I would be careful about taking an over in an elimination game though. Especially in the national league, you will see a lot of "small ball" being played.

I haven't run the numbers yet...I doubt it will be playable at 7 though. I'm just saying...both of tomorrow's starters are solid #3 guys and can even reach into that #2 starter category (on lesser staffs). Jackson needs consistency and Oswalt just needs to stay healthy.

This really sucks about the NBA...one of my best money-making ventures goes down the drain if they don't have a season. Plus, NBA took the place of MLB as far as an every day capping job. Once MLB is over, it's going to be weird without a sport to invest in every day. I'm not properly prepared to play NHL, other than some spot plays here and there (will be dusting off an old model for totals though). I suppose we're all addicted to the "action" to some extent...I wish these guys would just get it resolved.

This really sucks about the NBA...one of my best money-making ventures goes down the drain if they don't have a season. Plus, NBA took the place of MLB as far as an every day capping job. Once MLB is over, it's going to be weird without a sport to invest in every day. I have always really enjoyed playing NHL games, but maybe that is because I grew up playing the sport and have always followed it. As for tomorrows game, Jackson can be so inconsistent, its hard to pick a total. I do think the Phillies win though. Oswalt is a better pitcher than Jackson IMO. If I am wrong or missing something, please somebody feel free to correct me.

I was planning on looking more into basketball this year, and as a Bulls fan its gonna stink to not watch Rose and the rest of the team develop. It will be a big missed opportunity.

Honestly the gm probably lies on Jackson's 1st inning, maybe it just me but this guy gives up more 1st inning runs than about anyone i have ever seen. Far as Oswalt i know he has been better as of late but i will take may chances with Cards bats being thrilled to see someone other than the big 3, also nice that Puma gets to turn back around to the left side. Im pounding Cards then if philly wins my drunk ass will be pounding a phi fan.

Agreed; but if you check the situational splits (high leverage, etc), jackson has an edge. On a whole, however, they are very similar like you said. Yet, the cardinals are readily familiar with Oswalt from his time with the Astros while many of the phillies hitters have yet to face jackson....
