💰 Best World Cup prediction today
Belgium vs. Senegal both teams to score - yes (-134)
The public perception is that Belgium is much better than Senegal, but many underlying metrics make them much closer than one might believe. Senegal may have had to qualify via a third-place spot, but that came through group play against current favorite France and already-booked-in-the-final-16 Norway; that group was no slouch.
Despite one of the easiest defensive groups in the tournament, Belgium still conceded twice (to Egypt and New Zealand), only keeping a clean sheet against Iran.
Belgium's elite creators often press high and create fantastic chances, but they leave space behind their advancing fullbacks. Senegal is as good as any team in the tournament in transition, exactly the type of team that can take advantage of that space left by the Belgians. That type of setup lends itself to both teams scoring, a sentiment that Gordon Brunt shares in his Belgium vs. Senegal prediction.

💵 SBR Edge: Advanced stats pretty even
The advanced stats that might indicate a blowout just aren't there between these teams. Both have nearly identical deep completions, indicating a similar ability to reach dangerous areas. Both posted similar goal-creating actions and xThreat per 90 throughout the group stage, meaning they're making chances at a similar rate.
Name value carries a lot of weight for Belgium here, but Senegal showed in the Group Stage that they were no pushovers.
🔥 More World Cup predictions for Wednesday
England to win to nil vs. Congo DR (-138)
Congo impressed may during the Group Stage, holding Portugal to a 1-1 draw and losing just 1-0 to Colombia, but in both games were severely outplayed, getting off just three shots on target in total.
England will be up against a compact defense that does an excellent job of absorbing pressure and will only need to shut down Wissa on the counter for this to hit. Congo DR will cede possession to England for upward of 70% of the game this afternoon, but England's front-line talent will eventually break through. Could that be Harry Kane centrally that gets the job done? Our Philip Wood breaks down how the game will play out in his England vs. Congo prediction and his best Harry Kane prop bets.
While England is dealing with some injury concerns on the backline, Congo is not the team to take advantage of that. England will recover possession incredibly high up the pitch, holding Congo in its own zone for long stretches.

USA Over 6 corners vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina (+100)
The co-host Americans will be looking to wash the bad taste of their loss to Turkey in the Group Stage finale, and unfortunately for Bosnia, they're lined up to the punching bag. There are a lot of ways to attack this game, but I like the corner angle the most. USA will have a huge advantage in field tilt, dominating in the final third and forcing Bosnia to play under pressure for long stretches.
Deep defending from Bosnia will produce blocked crosses, blocked shots, and the USA recycling possession and repeating their attacks. It's a recipe for corners.
Kickoff time: 8 p.m. ET
USA vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina odds: USA (-260) | Draw (+390) | Bosnia-Herzegovina (+800)
