SGP predictions for Oilers vs. Panthers

Leon Draisaitl Over 0.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oilers fans will hope Leon Draisaitl's scoring decline against the Stars was temporary. Draisaitl failed to register an assist in the first four games against the Stars but finished the series with an assist in consecutive games, handing the hammer to Connor McDavid, who doled out the kill shot.

Draisaitl had at least one apple in 11 of the 12 games to open the playoffs. I like his chances of extending his assist streak to three games in the Stanley Cup Final opener. DraftKings' -105 odds for this leg of the parlay imply a winning probability of 51.22%.

Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 shots ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Panthers are arguably the league's best team at limiting shots on goal and preventing good looks. They defend aggressively as a collective, forcing most teams to dump the puck deep and try to establish a forecheck. That's where this prop comes into play, as Edmonton will look to the point to generate more chances, and Evan Bouchard has a knack for getting pucks through on goal.

He had at least three shots in four of six contests against the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final and should look to challenge Sergei Bobrovsky whenever the opportunity arises. He has hit the Over in 10 of 18 playoff games. The -120 odds on this leg of the prop imply a probability of 54.55%.

I looked at an alternate pick for Bouchard with my Oilers vs. Panthers player props.

Matthew Tkachuk Over 0.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Matthew Tkachuk had two goals and an assist in his first three games of last season's Stanley Cup Final. Things took a turn for the worse after that, as the Panthers assistant captain was held scoreless in Game 4 and didn't play in Game 5 due to injury. What do they say about unfinished business?

The Stanley Cup Final provides a perfect platform for a player like Tkachuk, who feeds off the frenzied atmosphere, home and away. He leads the Panthers with 19 points through 17 games in these playoffs. Tkachuk was held off the scoresheet in Games 5 and 6 against the New York Rangers but notched an assist in four of the previous five encounters.

The +105 odds for this leg of the parlay imply a 48.78% win probability. All three legs combined yield odds of +634, which implies a 13.62% probability. A $10 bet will pay a profit of $63.40 if all three legs of the parlay hit.
