The Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers play Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final tonight at Amerant Bank Arena, as we look at our favorite Oilers vs. Panthers player props based on the best NHL odds

The 2024 Stanley Cup Final has finally arrived after a long layoff in the wake of the conference finals. The Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers have had about a week to prepare for Game 1, with the puck finally dropping tonight at 8 p.m. ET at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Fla.

It marks the first-ever meeting between these two teams in the final, with the Panthers favorites according to the Stanley Cup odds. Florida is chasing its maiden championship title, while Edmonton is eyeing its sixth.

In terms of the Conn Smythe odds and standout playoff performances, all eyes are on Connor McDavid, the Oilers' top scorer in the playoffs, and breakout star Evan Bouchard, who has been a pivotal contributor for the underdog Oilers.

Here are our Oilers vs. Panthers player prop picks and NHL picks.

Today's Oilers vs. Panthers prop predictions

Evan Bouchard Over 0.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bouchard is 10 points behind Paul Coffey's all-time point record for a defenseman in a single playoff run entering the Stanley Cup Final. Coffey, who amassed 37 points during the Oilers' 1984-85 postseason, is Bouchard's assistant coach and must be in awe of how dominant the 24-year-old has been throughout the 2024 playoffs.

With 27 points overall, including 21 assists, Bouchard has tallied one helper or more in 12 of 18 contests. He registered at least one apple in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, and Dallas Stars, making his impression early and often.

The Oakville, Ontario native has logged 10 assists in his last eight games, notching at least one helper in six of the previous eight. The -115 odds imply a probability of 53.49%, and a $10 bet will pay a profit of $8.70 if it hits.

Sam Bennett Over 0.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a Calgary Flames fan and an obvious glutton for punishment, I find the Bennett story equally vexing and admirable.

Bennett has logged 10 points in 12 games during the postseason, the fourth-most points per game on the Panthers. He's been a one-man wrecking crew since returning from a five-game absence. And he's irrefutably the second-most annoying former Flame to play against. Matthew Tkachuk, his teammate and the team's assistant captain, is indisputably the head honcho on that list.

Bennett is made for the postseason. His brute strength and insatiable desire combine perfectly with an underrated skill set. As a result, he's registered at least one point in five of his last six games, including notching four points across the final three games against the New York Rangers.

You'll earn a profit of $11 through a $10 bet at this +110 price. The odds imply a probability of 47.62%.

Best odds: +110 via Betway

Carter Verhaeghe Over 3.5 shots ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Verhaeghe has been enjoying an excellent playoffs thus far, and he's tied for second on the Panthers with 17 points. But his dominance at Amerant Bank Arena is drawing me to this prop. Verhaeghe fired at least four shots on goal in six of nine home contests, and he averages 4.3 shots per game in the friendly confines of Amerant.

Whether it comes down to the comforts of home or matchup advantages, Verhaeghe averages almost one more shot per game on home ice compared to the road. At +110, Betway's odds imply a probability of 47.62%. A $10 winning bet pays a profit of $11.

Best odds: +110 via Betway

Connor McDavid anytime goal ⭐⭐⭐

Saturday marks McDavid's first Stanley Cup Final game. That alone is enough of a reason to toss a few dollars on him lighting the lamp. While the world's greatest hockey player has only logged five goals thus far during the 2024 postseason, his eye for scoring became much more pronounced against the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final.

McDavid has tallied at least four shots on goal in his last six games, leading to an uptick in goals. Three of his five goals came in six games against the Stars, while only two occurred across the previous 12.

Betway's odds of +125 imply a 44.44% probability, and a $10 bet returns a profit of $12.50.

Best odds: +125 via Betway
