The Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning meet in their final regular-season game on Wednesday, and we have our best Maple Leafs vs. Lightning player props based on the best NHL odds.

The playoff bracket is set and first-round matchups are confirmed, with our updated Stanley Cup odds providing you with all the information you're craving. Therefore, the Toronto Maple Leafs nor the Tampa Bay Lightning has a ton to play for on Wednesday at Amalie Arena.

Of course, some of the players still do. That includes Auston Matthews, who has one game remaining to reach the 70-goal plateau, and Nikita Kucherov, who is an assist away from joining the illustrious 100 club.

The Maple Leafs are playing the second game of a back-to-back and might have some heavy legs to contend with. It will be interesting to see how many players Jon Cooper and Sheldon Keefe decide to rest in the comparatively meaningless affair.

Here are our best Maple Leafs vs. Lightning player props and NHL picks (odds via our best NHL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Maple Leafs vs. Lightning prop bet predictions

Auston Matthews anytime goal (-134 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It has to happen in Wednesday's game for Matthews, right? The hockey world has been waiting with anticipation for the moment the Maple Leafs' marksman nets his 70th of the season. Matthews failed to score on Tuesday in Florida, the first time he didn't net at least one goal in nine games.

He has three goals in as many games against the Lightning this season, including a pair in the 6-5 win on Nov. 6. As the game won't have an impact on the standings, don't be surprised to see Cooper rest Andrei Vasilevskiy, which might make the path to 70 marginally easier for Matthews. A $10 winning bet at -134 odds will pay out $17.46 and comes with an implied probability of 57.26%.

Nikita Kucherov + Mitch Marner one-plus assist (+145 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐

Like Matthews, Kucherov is a man on a mission. Seeing Connor McDavid notch his 100th ripe Granny Smith apple on Monday night against the San Jose Sharks will only heighten Kucherov's motivation and strengthen his resolve. With one assist on Wednesday, the second-biggest favorite by our Hart Trophy odds will join the 100-assist club, which only McDavid, Mario Lemieux, Wayne Gretzky, and Bobby Orr have a membership to.

Mitch Marner is a nice addition to this SGP. Kucherov to notch at least one assist on its own has odds that are far too short, -200 to be exact. Adding Marner, who has 14 points in six games since returning from injury, is the best way to go.

Marner had an assist in Florida on Tuesday night and probably won't be rested, requiring more game time after such a long injury layoff. He has three assists in the last two games against Tampa. A $10 winning bet will pay out $24.50. The +145 implies a 40.82% probability.

Lightning 30-plus shots on goal (-110 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After a sweet, fruitful patch of six of seven games, the Lightning have stumbled a bit, losing three in a row. Though their current form might deter people from backing them to win the game, the Lightning, in their last home contest of the season, should have enough left in the tank to place the Maple Leafs under fairly constant pressure.

The Lightning enjoyed a rest day on Tuesday while the Maple Leafs endured a nightmarish evening in Florida, losing 5-2 after going up two goals early. Though the 255 miles from Sunrise to Tampa Bay isn't exactly a grueling travel itinerary, the Maple Leafs' legs should be somewhat heavy for the second game of a back-to-back. That should provide the home team the impetus to fire at least 30 pucks on goal.

The -110 odds will pay out $19.09 on a winning $10 bet and have an implied probability of 52.38%.
