I'm featuring Leo Carlsson and Mitch Marner in my NHL player props, expecting both to notch an assist. The Carolina Hurricanes will look to take a 2-0 series lead over the Philadelphia Flyers. Logan Stankoven, the hottest goal scorer in the playoffs, is under the spotlight in that one.

Logan Stankoven Over 0.5 points (-120) vs. Flyers
Stankoven is my dark horse to win the Conn Smythe after his electric start to the postseason, in which he scored a goal in each of the first five games. He netted the opener in the first three against the Ottawa Senators and pulled it off again in Game 1 against the Philadelphia Flyers, adding another later.
He scored late in the third to help sweep the Senators, too.
Stankoven's line, which includes Jackson Blake and Taylor Hall, has scored 10 of the Hurricanes' 14 goals. I'm surprised the best sports betting sites are still offering a palatable -120 price.

Leo Carlsson Over 0.5 assists (+120) at Golden Knights
With eight points in the first round against the Edmonton Oilers, Carlsson is among the playoff point leaders. He notched four assists in the last four games, including two in the decisive Game 6.
Carlsson registered an assist in the previous two meetings against the Golden Knights.
Anaheim scored the most goals per game in the first round, and Carter Hart has the second-worst goals saved above expected (-1.6) of the remaining starting netminders.
Mitch Marner Over 0.5 assists (-135) vs. Ducks
Playoff Mitch came out in full force in Game 6 against the Utah Mammoth. He scored two goals and added a helper in the Golden Knights' 5-1 win. He has five assists, notching one in every game except for Game 3 in Utah.
Marner usually elevates his level at this time of year. While the same cannot be said for his former team, I get the feeling that Marner is just starting to heat up in his first postseason foray with the Golden Knights.
The Ducks, meanwhile, allowed the most goals per game of the remaining teams (3.5), and Lukas Dostal has the worst goals saved above expected (-4.1) of the remaining starters.

I like all three picks enough to include them in my 3-leg SGP. All three are playing their best hockey, and the Ducks and Golden Knights were comparatively poor defensively and excellent in attack.
We'll have to see if that trend continues. Even if it doesn't, I'm confident in Marner and Carlsson notching at least one apple.
