🏒 NHL Player Props Today: Best Bets & Prop Picks for Wednesday, March 4

I'm feeling confident about my NHL player props today, turning to the shots market and featuring three players whose production has markedly increased since the restart.  

Those players are: William Nylander, Lucas Raymond, and Pavel Dorofeyev. 

While I only hit one of four goal-scorer picks on Tuesday, I'm not avoiding them like the Edmonton Oilers avoid defense. Instead, I've found a dream matchup for Sebastian Aho. Let's hope he doesn't turn it into a nightmare.

William Nylander Over 2.5 shots (+110) at Devils 

With at least three shots in six of the previous seven games, Nylander is finally shooting the puck more.

He attempted 15 shots in the last two games, and I also like the fact that New Jersey played Tuesday in a much more gruelling game against the Florida Panthers than the 5-1 score indicates. 

It was a slugfest, and I'd be surprised if the Devils aren't at least somewhat fatigued. They better be, as the Maple Leafs will use all the help they can get.

Lucas Raymond Over 2.5 shots (+132) vs. Golden Knights 

The Golden Knights are playing more like bronze pawns, and they face the Detroit Red Wings on the second night of a back-to-back. That should help Raymond amass at least three shots, which he's done in five of the previous six games. 

Not known as a shooter, Raymond has five game-winning goals. Surely, that provides the assist-king the impetus to continue firing on goal. His coaches will be imploring him to do so after he scored against Nashville on Monday.

He attempted five shots against the Predators and, before failing to register one against the Carolina Hurricanes, had five against the Ottawa Senators. 

Pavel Dorofeyev Over 2.5 shots (-125) at Red Wings 

Dorofeyev has been one of the only productive Vegas forwards during its current three-game skid. He registered at least three shots in three of four games since the restart and hit the Over in four of the previous six games. 

Dorofeyev attempted 21 shots in the last four games, firing nine toward the goal against the Los Angeles Kings last week.

I don't think fatigue will play much of a factor for him despite playing in Buffalo on Tuesday. He's full of confidence and will be looking to add to his recent goal spree (5 in 6 games). 

Sebastian Aho anytime goal (+150) at Canucks 

Aho has put on a clinic recently, scoring in five of the previous seven games.

He netted seven times in the last nine games against the Canucks, which is a foreboding prospect for a Vancouver team with the worst home defensive record. 

The Canucks conceded six goals on Wednesday against Dallas, and Carolina is playing just about as well as the Stars, with seven wins in the previous nine games.

On Tuesday, I put all of my eggs in the goal-scoring basket, a strategy that, for the most part, failed. Close but no cigar. Yada, yada, yada. 

So, I'm changing tacts, focusing on players who have increased their shot productivity since the restart. I couldn't help myself with Aho, as it sets up as a dream matchup for the Hurricanes' leading scorer. Each unit is $10.
