Josh Allen NFL Player Props, Odds Week 16: Predictions for Sunday Night Football

We're backing Josh Allen and his opposing quarterback to rack up the passing yards in Sunday Night Football with our favorite Josh Allen player props based on the best NFL odds.

Quarterback Josh Allen will look to put on a show on Sunday Night Football (a special Saturday edition) when his Buffalo Bills visit the Los Angeles Chargers, and we offer our top Josh Allen player props based on the best NFL odds at the best sportsbooks.

The Bills are eyeing an NFL postseason berth, and they look to remain scorching-hot as they head to Los Angeles to face the struggling Chargers.

Following a hilarious (unless you're a Chargers fan) 63-21 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15, Los Angeles fired head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco.

In the Raiders' massive win, quarterback Aidan O'Connell torched the Chargers with 248 yards and four touchdown passes. So it's fair to wonder (even fantasize or fear, depending on who you root for) what perennial MVP candidate Josh Allen will do to Los Angeles.

In addition to our NFL Week 16 predictions and NFL Week 16 player props, and to accompany our Bills vs. Chargers prediction, here are our best Josh Allen NFL player prop predictions for the Bills vs. Chargers Week 16 Sunday Night Football matchup (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Josh Allen player props

Josh Allen Under 22.5 completions(-102 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

It's a bit difficult to find value on any standalone prop for Allen in this special Saturday night edition of Sunday Night Football. However, this profiles as the best of the bunch.

Before we dive too deep into the numbers, we have one reason to believe that Allen won't surpass 22 passing completions. That reason is that he simply won't need to.

The Bills' defense has been stout in three of the last four weeks, limiting the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and New York Jets to a combined 33 points in their games. In those matchups, Allen managed only seven, 23 (going Over this number on the hook), and 20 completions, respectively.

As for the data, there's some value in playing the Under once again this week.

Allen's average projection across nine different projection models is 22.39. On that projection, the edge is small, as we're getting just better than 4.5% positive expected value by playing the Under at FanDuel. However, there are other signs that we're on the right side of this bet.

Among our best sports betting apps, FanDuel is the only one with the Over more heavily juiced than the Under. In fact, Pinnacle, one of the most respected trading teams in the sports betting industry, has seen significant action on its Under 22.5 passing attempts, which is now priced at -125 as a result.

Pinnacle's number doesn't even represent the shortest odds on the Under across our best sports betting sites, as Caesars prices it at -127.

Josh Allen + Easton Stick Over 447.5 passing yards (-110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐

Returning to a reliable wellspring of verified success, this combined passing yardage proposition has delivered wins in consecutive weeks, with Chargers quarterback Easton Stick sealing the deal for us in Week 15 during a 3-0 triumph on Thursday night.

We're backing this Over for many of the reasons last week's hit. Stick looked fairly overwhelmed at times against the Raiders, but Las Vegas' big lead allowed him to sling the ball around for much of the second half without worrying about getting the running game involved. This matchup profiles to follow a similar path.

BetMGM is offering us a slightly lower number on the total passing yards, too, as bet365 offers this market at 452.5, with the Over more heavily juiced at -115.

Together, Allen and Stick have an average combined passing yards projection of 480.93, giving us roughly 32 yards of wiggle room from this Over. Additionally, of the two, Stick comes in at a relatively conservative 227.37, but the high end of his projections is 249, with six of the 10 models we used projecting him for more than 230 passing yards.

Look for Allen to do damage early and Stick to get us Over (pun intended) the finish line in garbage time.

Josh Allen + Easton Stick Over 65.5 passing attempts (-105 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

This bet is similar to the last, but rather than attack their combined passing completions, I'll opt for pure volume of attempts.

Of the two quarterbacks, it's Stick who actually owns the higher projected passing attempts total at an average of 34.22. Allen's comes in at 33.78, giving them a combined projection of 68, clearing this line by two attempts.

bet365 is the only one of our best sportsbooks offering this market, and its number is fairly reasonable. We'll head there for our final of these three props, and you can use our exclusive bet365 bonus code: SBRBONUS for the best odds on this pick!
