In one of the NFL season's most anticipated matchups, Joe Burrow and the Bengals take on Josh Allen and the Bills with a spot in the AFC Championship game on the line. 

Neither QB looked like themselves in their Wild Card victories, with Allen turning the ball over three times and Burrow throwing for just 209 yards. This week, offense is the name of the game, as these two meet in the playoffs for the first time.

Josh Allen and Joe Burrow Over 3.5 touchdown passes (-120 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If there were ever a lock this weekend, this is it. It almost feels too good to be true. Why isn’t this number listed at 4.5, and with at 3.5, why isn’t the price steeper? Weather could be a factor, but there won't be blizzard-like conditions, and the NFL does a great job keeping fields clear in recent seasons during winter storms.

Don’t overthink it. Even if this game is lower scoring than many expect, there'll still be plenty of opportunities for Allen and Burrow to find the end zone. Allen threw for multiple scores in four consecutive games, throwing for three or more in three of those contests.

Burrow threw just one touchdown pass in his last two, but both of those games were against the Baltimore Ravens, who've been his kryptonite. In 14 matchups against teams other than the Ravens, he threw for multiple scores 11 times.

This parlay offers a lot of value and, based on recent trends, should hit. Burrow attempted 35 or more passes in 12 matchups this season. While the Bengals will try to run in this one, that won’t stop him from hoisting up throws late in the game. The reason this is a better number than the Over 39.5 most major sportsbooks offer, is because Burrow only attempted 40 or more passes four times this season.

Allen threw at least one interception in three consecutive games, including multiple in two of his last three. This season, Allen threw an interception in 10 of his 17 matchups. That's led to the Bills being ranked an NFL 25th in interceptions thrown per game. The Bengals forced .8 interceptions per game this year. 

Josh Allen +9.5 passing yards vs. Joe Burrow (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Head-to-head props are always interesting because they often don't reflect actual lines from oddsmakers. DraftKings has Allen’s total passing yards set at 280.5, while Burrow’s is at 282.5, a difference of two yards. Yet, when these players are set against each other, Burrow is suddenly favored by 9.5. With the price set at -115 for Allen +9.5 and Burrow -9.5, oddsmakers are contradicting themselves.

But it’s more than just the lack of consistency that makes this a good bet. While Burrow had better passing yard numbers this season, the Bills will rely more on their quarterback than the Bengals. Cincy would love to get through this game with Burrow throwing the ball 30 times.

Meanwhile, the Bills haven't had much of a run game all season. Even if the Bengals play from behind, expect Allen to get enough yards to possibly win this head-to-head matchup outright.
