SGP Predictions for Bengals vs. Bills

Josh Allen 1+ interceptions (-155) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Allen’s two interceptions against the Miami Dolphins last weekend marked his 15th and 16th interceptions this season. His 14 regular-season interceptions were tied for third-worst in the NFL behind only Dak Prescott and Davis Mills.

With the Bengals averaging nearly one interception per game, and Allen throwing a pick in 10 of his 17 games this season, this is a four-star add to this parlay, especially with the weather expected to be a factor in Buffalo on Sunday.

Joe Burrow Under 274.5 passing yards (+115) ⭐⭐⭐

Joe Burrow has thrown for 275 or more yards in eight of his 17 games this year. Only two of those eight instances came against teams that made the postseason.

The storyline heading into the Bengals’ game against the Bills is whether or not the protection is going to hold up for the Cincinnati quarterback. It may seem like an overblown storyline, but when breaking it down, Burrow’s protection has been very relevant to his success this season. He has been sacked in every game, including being sacked multiple times in 12 contests. While he managed an 8-4 record in those games, his production significantly decreased when he was sacked four or more times. In those four games, he only eclipsed 235 yards once.

There is no guarantee that Burrow will be sacked that many times in this one, but that doesn’t change the fact that he will be under pressure all game. Even if the Bengals are playing from behind, that still won’t be enough for Burrow to hit this number in the wintry conditions behind a decimated front.

Tee Higgins anytime touchdown (+210) ⭐⭐⭐

When healthy, Ja’Marr Chase is the guy for the Bengals. He has 10 touchdowns in 13 games this year, including the only receiving touchdown for Cincinnati in its wild-card win over the Baltimore Ravens. Yet, Chase will be matched up with Bills corner Tre’Davious White for most of Sunday’s game, which works in favor of Higgins.

Higgins has seven touchdown catches in 15 games this year. Four of those touchdowns have come against teams that qualified for the postseason. That may not be the most important trend to look at, but the fact remains that when the Bengals are against the best competition, Higgins delivers.

With Chase drawing the less favorable matchup this weekend, Higgins is primed for a big game. Yet, it’s hard to trust any of the Bengals’ receivers to hit their yards Over until we see what the offense looks like with a new front five. Therefore, Higgins’ touchdown number at +210 is the best play.
