The latest Sunday Night Football odds list the Lions as 3.5-point favorites at NRG Stadium for their 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC/Peacock) clash with the Texans. Oddsmakers expect the Lions to have success, so what does that mean for the best Jared Goff SNF player prop bets?
Goff has completed a league-leading 74.9% of his passes this season, and he hasn’t thrown an interception since Week 3. Over the last five games, he’s thrown 11 touchdown passes, but he’s also only completed more than 18 passes once during that same stretch.

When I wrote about the best Lions vs. Texans SNF prop bets, this was one of my three best plays of the game. At the time, FanDuel was offering a price of -102 for Over 1.5 passing touchdowns. The number at that sportsbook has since gone up to -118.
The Texans have struggled to prevent teams from throwing touchdown passes against them all season. They’re allowing 2.1 passing touchdowns per game, tied for the second-most in the league. Goff and the Lions are averaging two passing touchdowns per game, tied for fifth-most in the NFL.
Last week, Goff threw only one touchdown pass in rainy weather conditions at Lambeau Field.
In the five games before last week, Goff threw at least two touchdowns in each. Back inside a dome, Goff will get back to his usual form in a very favorable matchup.

Goff has thrown fewer than 29.5 passes in seven of his eight games this season. Goff also hasn’t come particularly close to 30 passing attempts in any recent games, throwing the ball 25 or fewer times in his last six contests.
Though the Texans are allowing 30.8 passing attempts per game, they also rank 11th in the league in the category.
Three of the five best sports betting sites have this number set at 30.5, and they’re all asking -127 or more for the Under.
Meanwhile, bet365 and FanDuel have this total at 29.5, but the former is asking -115 for the Under.

Even though I believe that Goff’s passing attempts number is set way too high, I’m still going to back him to complete at least 22 passes tonight.
He’s completed 22 passes in only two of his eight games this season, but he’s also completed at least 72.0% of his passes in six consecutive games.
Our best sports betting apps expect Goff to throw more than usual in this game, so it’s interesting that they expect him to complete only 21 of 29 passes when he’s completed at least 80.0% of his passes in every game over the last three weeks.
The Texans rank first in the league in opponent completion percentage, but their numbers are also aided by favorable matchups.
Goff is on a heater right now, and he may only need 25 or 26 passes to hit this Over. If he gets anywhere near the number of attempts that oddsmakers are projecting for him, then he will clear this with ease.
