Sunday's Midwest Region Elite Eight matchup between No. 1 seed Houston (33-4) and No. 2 seed Tennessee (30-7) tips off from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at 2:20 p.m. ET (CBS).

The Cougars are 3.5-point betting favorites, but our Houston vs. Tennessee parlay picks and SGP odds start off our parlay with a play on the total and two player props as part of our March Madness predictions.

🔥 Under 123.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

Houston shot 39.1% from 3-point range against Purdue, which was right on par with the Cougars being the best 3-point shooting team in all of D-I. However, the Volunteers will provide much more resistance defensively than the Boilermakers did as the third-ranked team in terms of adjusted defensive efficiency.

The Cougars allowed Purdue to shoot a season-low nine field-goal attempts at the rim on Friday.

And given that the Volunteers ranked outside the top 275 in percentage of points coming from inside the arc, that lowers Tennessee’s offensive ceiling if it has to consistently shoot perimeter shots in a cavernous football stadium.

🔥 L.J. Cryer Under 2.5 made 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐

Houston’s L.J. Cryer averaged three made 3-pointers per game and has five games with four-plus made threes in March alone.

However, Tennessee is coming off a game defensively in which it held Kentucky to a season-low of 3-point attempts rate and catch-and-shoot rate.

Cryer made just one of five 3-point attempts in Friday’s win over Purdue, so it's fair to assume he may not love the sightlines in a football stadium like Lucas Oil.

🔥 Igor Milicic Jr. Over 7.5 points ⭐⭐

This is one of the rare cases that we would back a player’s Over on their point total, especially since Tennessee’s team total is O/U 60.5.

But in much of the same way that Purdue attacked Houston with Trey Kaufman-Renn in the midrange on rolls after screening for Braden Smith, Rick Barnes could use Igor Milicic Jr. as a pick-and-pop weapon to pull Houston’s bigs away from the basket.

Milicic has scored eight or more points only once in the last five games, which happened to be in Friday’s win over Kentucky.

But while Milicic scored seven or fewer points in three of his four games against No. 1 seeds, I expect the big man who had the SEC’s 12th-highest effective field-goal percentage in league play to be more of a focal point of the offense against a compact Cougars defense.
