After a dynamic women's basketball tournament in 2023, we are eager to see what the 2023-24 campaign has in store for us. Read on as we track the 2024 women's March Madness odds for the next several months via the latest college basketball odds.

Last year's women's basketball tournament delivered plenty of compelling drama, ending with the LSU Tigers capturing their first title in program history. We have seen the start of the 2023-24 campaign serve as an impressive encore, with multiple upsets occurring in the opening week.

While LSU was the early betting favorite to repeat, South Carolina has since taken over as the top team with UConn also catching LSU's odds at +550.

Here is a look at the 2024 Women's March Madness odds (odds via our best March Madness betting sites).

Women's March Madness odds movement

LSU opened as the betting favorite at three of the four best sportsbooks but has been overtaken by South Carolina by the consensus odds as of mid-November.

FanDuel was the quickest to raise the odds for LSU. It set the new market high with +650 odds for the defending champs.

Women's March Madness favorite 2024

South Carolina (+450 via DraftKings)

The No. 1 ranked Gamecocks have eclipsed 100 points in four of their first five games this season, winning each game by at least 29 points or more.

It's no surprise to see them jump LSU as the new favorites this season, winning 46 of their last 47 games with their only loss coming to Iowa in last year's Final Four game.

Women's March Madness odds 2024: Contender

UConn (+850 via FanDuel)

It might seem difficult to believe, but the Connecticut women's basketball program hasn't won a national title since 2016. The Huskies were once considered the dominant force in this sport, but there have been six different champions since the last time they cut down the nets.

This year's UConn team has a chance to get the program back on top. Forward Aaliyah Edwards is averaging over 20 points per game, while guard Paige Bueckers (2021 Wooden Award winner) is back after missing last season due to a torn ACL.

Like LSU, UConn suffered an early-season setback by losing at NC State. The Huskies don't have as favorable of an upcoming stretch, so we should learn a lot more about their fortitude in the near future.

Women's March Madness odds 2024: Long shot

Iowa (+950 via Caesars)

While this sport hasn't typically produced a ton of long shots, the early 2023-24 results have been more encouraging when it comes to teams further down the oddsboard. As such, this should be a market worth exploring throughout the season.

Still, it's hard not to zero in on this better than 9/1 price tag for Iowa. Caitlin Clark proved last year that she's the best player in the sport, and capable of carrying a team on a deep run. Iowa made it all the way to the title game before the dream season came to an end.

Clark is already pacing all players in win shares, according to Her Hoop Stats. The potential No. 1 pick in next year's WNBA draft is certainly worth backing this season.
