South Carolina remains the consensus betting favorite by the latest 2024 Women's March Madness odds via the latest college basketball odds from our best March Madness betting sites.

After a perfect regular season in 2022-23, the South Carolina Gamecocks were shocked by Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Final Four. They're out for vengeance in 2024 as the clear title favorites a month before March Madness.

South Carolina is dealing at its shortest price all season, with +125 odds or worse across all of our best sports betting sites to win the title in April. That comes after yet another undefeated start to the regular season with wins over LSU and Connecticut - two of the other favorites to win it all.

It shouldn't surprise anyone to see Iowa dealing as the second choice amid a sensational season for Clark, the runaway favorite by the latest Women's Wooden Award odds, while defending champion LSU is the only other team dealing shorter than 10/1.

Here's a look at the 2024 Women's March Madness latest odds and the favorite, contender, and long shot to consider.

Women's March Madness favorite 2024

South Carolina (+125 via DraftKings)

"If you want to bet on South Carolina to win the national title, you're running out of time."

That's what we wrote earlier this month when the Gamecocks were still dealing as high as +200 to win it all. Sure enough, the consensus title favorites are now trading at a virtual coin-flip price across our best sportsbooks - and it doesn't appear this price is getting better anytime soon.

Of course, South Carolina put together a similarly dominant regular season in 2022-23, only to lose to Iowa in the NCAA Tournament. I'd be surprised if this team falls flat once again, but at this price, you'd be better served to bet this team's moneyline game-by-game than laying such short odds on a championship run.

Women's March Madness odds 2024: Contender

Iowa (+850 via DraftKings)

Iowa remains one of the most popular bets in the title market, with more than one-third of all bets at BetMGM coming on Clark and her teammates to win it all:

Even so, the Hawkeyes are catching more favorable odds at DraftKings than they were a few weeks ago - a direct result of the Gamecocks' shortening price across the board. Of course, Iowa beat South Carolina in last year's tournament, and this year's group is arguably even better than the one we saw in 2023.

Much of the attention has been paid to Clark, and deservedly so, but this year's team has a better win percentage overall (88.5%) and in-conference (85.7%) while scoring more than five points better and allowing one point fewer defensively. This team is a legitimate threat to win it all, especially if Clark goes supernova in March.

Women's March Madness odds 2024: Long shot

Texas (+4000 via bet365)

No team saw its odds move more this month than Texas, which wasn't even listed in the top 10 in early February but is dealing at a consensus +2500 or shorter everywhere - except, of course, for these juicy +4000 odds via bet365.

We've seen a few rogue prices this season from our friends at bet365, which is slower to adjust the market than the rest of our best sports betting apps. That appears to be the case once again with the Longhorns, who moved into the top five of last week's AP Poll after beating No. 13 Baylor and No. 2 Kansas State.

Those key victories help spark a six-game win streak for coach Vic Schaefer's group, which already beat UConn earlier this year. Texas is a fine bet at 25/1, but it's an absolute steal at this outlier 40/1 price.

Women's March Madness odds movement

LSU opened as the betting favorite at most of our best March Madness betting sites, but the Gamecocks overtook the Tigers in mid-November and haven't looked back amid an undefeated start. That isn't likely to change anytime soon after South Carolina beat the defending champions on Jan. 25 in its most impressive showing to date.

We haven't seen too much movement beyond those two favorites, as Iowa and UConn remain the top contenders in this market. We'll continue to update this season as we get closer to March Madness.

Women's March Madness betting analysis

South Carolina continues to lead the pack as the favorite ahead of reigning champion LSU and dark-horse contender Iowa, which is a clear threat behind star scorer Caitlin Clark - the runaway favorite to win her second Wooden Award.

There is a ton of potential value beyond those three favorites, as books are often slow to update futures markets for women's basketball. Eight of the top 10 teams on the board have a standalone best price at one of our best March Madness betting sites, including one 40/1 long shot at bet365 that is 25/1 or worse everywhere else.

As a result, there are some serious outliers between the best sportsbooks offering this market. As always, bettors should shop around for the best odds when building a futures portfolio, and that's especially true in this market. We'd recommend checking out our best sportsbook promos to maximize your wager in the March Madness betting markets.
