🏀 March Madness MVP prediction

LJ Cryer, Houston

I went with LJ Cryer to win March Madness MVP before the start of the tournament. So far, so good in the hopes of cashing this ticket.

Cryer had +2000 March Madness MVP odds going into the Big Dance and that number is now +1300. That is the fourth lowest on the board.

The odds on Flagg to win March Madness MVP were a little too short to make a decent profit on a small wager going into the tournament. Jumping on the wagon of the best player on one of the other No. 1 seeds in the Big Dance looked to be the better way to go.

Cryer has come up huge in many of Houston's top wins this season. The transfer from Baylor tallied 20 points in the Cougars' Big 12 Championship semifinal win over BYU in the Big 12 Tournament. He also had a 28-point outing against Iowa State on Feb. 22.

The standout guard was phenomenal in the second round against Gonzaga, as he posted 30 points in an 81-76 Houston victory. Cryer drilled six 3-pointers in that contest.

All told, Cryer is averaging 15.6 points per game this season and is a threat to blow a game wide open with his outside shooting ability. Cryer has 16 games this season in which he's hit four 3-pointers or more.
