Home playoff games are a good spot to back role players, especially young ones like 76ers rookie guard VJ Edgecombe. With the series headed back to Philadelphia, Edgecombe could be a key factor in Philadelphia's chances of winning Game 3.
Edgecombe averaged 19.3 points per game in the 76ers' four wins in Round 1, clearing this prop three times. He's averaged 15 points per contest in the postseason, which included a 17-point performance in Game 2 to clear a closing total of 14.5.

Knicks guard Josh Hart does a lot of things well, but he's failed to clear this PRA line in six straight games. Hart is averaging 9.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists in 33.8 minutes per game during the postseason. He hasn't even cleared a PRA total of 22 since Game 2 against the Atlanta Hawks.
And yet, Hart's PRA prop is the highest it has been all postseason. The market clearly has high expectations for his impact in Friday's matchup. I just question that optimism when the 76ers are favored to take care of business.
If Philadelphia pulls away, New York will be content to play for Game 4 and bench key players. I think there are more paths to an Under here, which is why I'd take it at -115 or better.

The Knicks have been in complete control of this series, but they are due for a letdown. That's the way I'm approaching my Knicks vs. 76ers player props in Game 3.
Philadelphia is hoping a return home can help this team get back on track. It certainly should provide Edgecombe a boost as someone playing in his first postseason. He has a 58.5% hit rate on 11.5 points when playing at home this year.
As for Hart, I'm skeptical of the market movement on his props. I'll take the Under and potentially benefit from a negative game script.
