A pair of pivotal Game 3s are in store for Friday's NBA playoff doubleheader. The Minnesota Timberwolves aim to take a 2-1 advantage at home against the San Antonio Spurs, while the Philadelphia 76ers are trying to avoid a 3-0 deficit when they host the New York Knicks.

While I like the home team in both matchups, my NBA player props today have found more valuable angles on Anthony Edwards, VJ Edgecombe, and Josh Hart as part of Friday's NBA picks and best bets.

Anthony Edwards Under 32.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115) vs. Spurs

Until Anthony Edwards has a game where he demonstrates he's fully healthy, it's difficult to back his props as they continue to climb. This PRA line is now 32.5 after closing 26.5 in each of the first two games.

However, Edwards has yet to play more than 25 minutes in a game this series. He's failed to clear this line both times, averaging 15 points, three rebounds, and 1.5 assists. This Under has hit in four straight contests.

Give me the Under on an inflated prop, especially since the Spurs like to double Edwards when he has the ball.

VJ Edgecombe Over 12.5 points (-118) vs. Knicks

With the 76ers favored in a must-win Game 3, I like the idea of backing rookie guard VJ Edgecombe. He performs much better when the team is playing well, averaging 19.3 points per game in the 76ers' four wins in Round 1.

Counting the regular season, Edgecombe has a 66.7% hit rate on this scoring line in wins this season, averaging 16.9 points.

Add in the fact that Edgecombe is in a favorable spot at home, and it's an easy bet at this number. His scoring line closed at 14.5 in Game 2, which is where it could move before tipoff if Joel Embiid is out again.

Josh Hart Under 26.6 points + rebounds + assists (-105) at 76ers

Knicks guard Josh Hart knows how to fill up the stat sheet, but this line is a bit inflated based on his recent form. He's failed to clear this PRA prop in six straight games, averaging 9.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. He hasn't even finished with a PRA total higher than 22 since Game 2 of Round 1.

But what's most perplexing to me is that Hart's total is actually higher than it's been all postseason. This same prop closed at 25.5 in each of the first two games in this series.

Considering the Knicks are on the road and Hart could struggle, I like the Under at a -105 price tag via Caesars.

As we get deeper in the postseason, the lines will begin to become sharper. That's why it's important to target these markets as early as possible, especially with the way Round 2 is scheduled. These teams play every other day, so I'd suggest looking for props the day before the game.

In this case, I think there is a chance that some of my edges are gone closer to tipoff on Friday night.
