🏀 Wings vs. Dream prediction & WNBA best bet

🎯 Score prediction: Dream 88, Wings 82

It hasn't been a pretty start to the season for the new-look Wings, who head into their matchup with the Dream carrying a 0-3 record. Despite the lack of wins, Dallas has had some bright moments offensively thanks to Ogunbowale and Bueckers.

The All-Star and rookie have meshed well together with Ogunbowale's scoring prowess - she was second in the WNBA in points per game last year (22.2) - and Bueckers' playmaking, as she ranks fourth in the league in assists (6.7). So while Dallas hasn't won yet, it can score behind an offense that managed over 80 points in both its games against the Minnesota Lynx.

The Lynx have one of the league's top defenses, so playing the Dream and their sleepwalking defense will have Dallas on cloud nine. Atlanta is allowing the third-most points per game (88.3) and has the fourth-worst defensive rating (110). Luckily for head coach Karl Smesko, he has the talent to outscore the Wings.

Howard is playing like an All-Star once again and she's not alone. She, Allisha Gray, and Brionna Jones are all top 20 in the WNBA in points per game, and it doesn't hurt having the interior presence of Brittney Griner, a nine-time All-Star. Those four can slice up a Dallas defense that features the third-worst rating (110.7).

The Dream are fourth in offensive rating (106.7) and third in 3-pointers per game (10.0), which will come in handy against a Wings defense that's allowing the second-highest 3-point percentage in the league (41.7%).
