After their undefeated start was snapped on Sunday, the Connecticut Sun (10-1) bounced back with a blowout win over the Indiana Fever. Now they'll hit the road to face the Chicago Sky (4-6) in Wednesday's lone WNBA matchup, which tips off at 8 p.m. ET from Wintrust Arena.
The Sun are 7.5-point favorites to beat the Sky and remain among the favorites by the WNBA championship odds behind the best record in the league. Central to it all has been Alyssa Thomas, last year's MVP runner-up who currently owns the second-shortest WNBA MVP odds through the first quarter of the season.

The Sun are not a team to be trifled with. There's a reason why they remain my No. 1 team in our WNBA power rankings, and this feels like solid value against a much inferior foe.
That isn't to discredit what we've seen from the Sky, who stunned the Liberty earlier this year and have largely exceeded expectations to this point. Since that win, though, Chicago has gone 2-5 with two wins over the two worst teams in the league and three losses by at least nine points.
One notable exception is an 86-82 loss to the Sun, who were still saddled with the pressure of perfection at that point. Thomas was also ejected in the third quarter of that one after a hard foul on Angel Reese, which surely influenced the final margin of Connecticut's win.
On the whole, the Sun have outscored teams by 9.8 points per game with the WNBA's best net rating (+12.9) and defensive rating (90.4), and I'm expecting more of the same in a favorable matchup for the road favorites.

Alyssa Thomas Over 17.5 reb + ast ⭐⭐⭐
You can't stop Alyssa Thomas; you can only hope to contain her. The Fever learned that the hard way on Monday, when she finished with an absurd 18 rebounds and seven assists in a 17-point win for the Sun.
That marked Thomas' sixth time clearing this total in 11 starts this season, including four of her last five games. She's averaged a ridiculous 12 rebounds and 9.2 assists in that five-game stretch, and she currently leads the WNBA in assists per game (8.5) while ranking fifth in rebounds (10.4).
