The Mystics (8-9 against the spread, 5-11-1 Over/Under) were able to get back in the win column their last time out with an eight-point home victory over Indiana on Friday. Washington had lost three of its last four games prior to that contest. The Mystics will enjoy a four-game homestand following Sunday's road outing.
As for the Sun (9-8-1 ATS, 12-6 O/U), they too are coming off a bit of a rough patch. Two of Connecticut’s five losses on the season came over the last three games. However, the Sun were able to get past Seattle in their most recent outing on Thursday. A brief trip out west will follow Sunday’s matchup.

This is the third time the Mystics and Sun will go head-to-head this season, with the first two meetings taking place back on May 21st and 23rd. Despite being the betting underdog each time, the Sun came out on top in both of those contests.

Meanwhile, the Mystics are all but guaranteed to be without their top distributor Natasha Cloud due to an ankle injury. Shakira Austin will join her on the sideline, as she isn’t expected back until the end of the month. Elena Delle Donne is also on Sunday’s injury report with an ankle injury, but she's listed as probable.
Although plenty has changed for both teams since the last meeting in late May, it’s hard to overlook the fact that Washington actually closed as a one-point favorite for the prior meeting in Connecticut. The current spread of Sun -4.5 is a noteworthy adjustment in how the market views these two teams.
