Caitlin Clark and the sixth-seeded Indiana Fever (20-20) return to Mohegan Sun Arena to face the third-seeded Connecticut Sun (28-12) in Wednesday's Game 2, which tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET as part of the WNBA playoffs.

  • The Sun are favored by as many as 7.5 points to beat the Fever across our best sports betting sites
  • Connecticut is among the favorites by the latest WNBA championship odds
  • Indiana looks to bounce back from a 93-69 loss in Sunday's Game 1

Here is a look at our Fever vs. Sun prediction, expert picks, and WNBA playoff odds for Game 2.

Fever vs. Sun prediction: Game 2

Sun -7 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

As we wrote about in our Dream vs. Liberty prediction, some teams are simply built to shine in the postseason. And that certainly seems to be the case for the Sun.

Connecticut boasts the WNBA's longest active playoff streak after making the postseason in eight consecutive campaigns, with two Finals appearances. It's also advanced to at least the semifinals in five straight years.

Compare that to the Fever, who are making their first playoff appearance since 2016. It sure played like it on Sunday, when they were outscored in all four quarters of a 24-point loss to the host Sun.

Can Clark and Co. bounce back?

The outlook for Game 2 might be different if Sunday's result was a one-game blip between these two teams. But the Sun have won 12 of 13 meetings between these squads over the last three seasons. That includes four wins this year by an average of 16.5 points.

The Fever did win the last regular-season matchup on Aug. 28, and they played like one of the WNBA's best teams over the second half. But their sieve-like defense finally caught up to them in Game 1, when Connecticut shot 49.3% from the floor and 50% from 3-point range.

The Sun also held Indiana's offense below 70 points for the first time since the Olympic break, with Clark struggling mightily in her playoff debut.

The No. 1 pick scored 11 points on 4-of-17 shooting while making just two of her 13 attempts from deep. That shouldn't be surprising after the Sun held her to 16.5 points per game on 39.2% shooting during the regular season.

This is just a bad matchup for Indiana against an experienced and physical team that excels at home. And I'm happy to take full advantage with these odds via bet365.

Caitlin Clark Under 19.5 points (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We've made an absolute killing this year betting on Caitlin Clark player props, especially late in the season when our best sportsbooks were slow to catch up to her progress as a scorer and facilitator.

But she looked like a rookie again in Game 1, bricking 13 shots against the team that's put the clamps on her all season long.

DiJonai Carrington was the one locking up Clark earlier this year. DeWanna Bonner took the assignment in Game 1 and frustrated the 6-foot guard with her length and physicality.

Regardless of who draws Clark in Game 2, I would be surprised if she suddenly breaks out of her slump against the Sun. They've held Clark to 20 or fewer points in all five matchups this season.

The rest of the market is offering this total at 20.5 with the Under priced at -130. But I like this slightly lower number with +100 odds via DraftKings, where every $10 wagered would return $10 in profit.
