The math is simple here - a pitcher who lives in the bottom two percentile for strikeouts going up against a team that doesn't strike out. Sugano is striking out just 13% of batters this year and is up against the Cardinals, who whiff the fifth-least out of every team in the majors. I'd bet this up to +105 - let's run with this value as part of our best strikeout predictions today.
Lucas Giolito Over 4.5 strikeouts (-120)
I'm looking for a ton of whiffs from Giolito today - he's striking the Reds out at a 34% rate over 50 plate appearances in his career, which includes a 34% whiff rate from Nathaniel Lowe and a 55% mark from Noelvi Marte.
