Hey EP,Falla has shown he is well worth being taken as dog in these spots to supposedly better players. But can you really say over the last 12 months that Querrey is a better player? +170 looks like a mighty tasty pick.
Also just for shits Dave should roll him, but clay is actually Odesniks favorite surface. He is 14-9 all time in ATP clay events. Fat is not what he was, ranked 89 now.+400 looks a bit large, but better yet + 5 on the cap looks good.
As far as WTA, never thought I would see Greta Arn at over -200.Zhang wupped her in the Qualies last year in Cincy. Why Arn is this high I don't know. This price reflects her one big win over Cibulkova at the aussie IMO>

Man if that tournament wasn't in Argentina, I might take a look at Odesnik. Not at home though, even Fat Dave shall spare the embarrassment. I've been staring at that Querrey match for a while. I think Falla would fare better if it were outdoors, might be worth a look on the handicap over the ML. Still looking at Memphis.

WTA Memphis: Rodina +165 I like that Rodina has been playing on indoor courts now for a week plus and has more recent good memories in Memphis. Erakovic played well here in the past too, but has not played quite as much on the indoor surface in the last few years. This feels a lot more even than the price suggests. If Rodina doesn't implode on-serve, she could give Erakovic a run in this one.

Bartoli was injured last week. I was actually surprised she was playing this week. I thought about taking Peng, but it would have been purely against the injury angle because Peng has not been good this year.

James Blake didn't last long. Looked rusty, but at least he got through a match. Seems like they should finally not ever mention Melanie Oudin any more - her career looks toasted. At least she had her 15 minutes.

Well right around break even on the day, think I wound up down .05 units. Would have ended up just slightly if I avoided the Beck pick, but taking dogs is a good way to stay even or thereabouts at least. Tomorrow should yield some good spots to wager with the seeds starting to get involved in these tourneys.
Actually dead even on the day. Someone asked earlier about Cibulkova, she claimed a hamstring injury when she retired against Benesova. [/COLOR]

Wednesday, February 22nd
WTA Dubai: Benesova +115 Benesova against Lisicki. Benesova just beat Lisicki on a surface that should have favored the big hitting German, an indoor hard court, in Fed Cup play. Lisicki has really looked out of sorts more often than not this season. Her serve which was a big reason for her rise in 2011 has been hit or miss in 2012. When it's not firing, Lisicki doesn't seem confident in any portion of her game. Benesova is playing pretty solid tennis on hard courts so far and has the advantage of match play on these courts already.
WTA Dubai: Peer +395 Peer is always an interesting story in Dubai because of the lack of relations between the UAE and Israel. Peer was part of a firestorm back in 2009 when she was denied entry into the tournament because of the tension between the two countries. My how times have changed. Peer gets a wildcard into the event this year. She's performed well here in successive years with a quarter and semifinal appearance. She faces Radwanska who is certainly superior to her on this surface, but Ag-Rad really struggled in her opener against Wozniak. That could bode well for Peer here as Wozniak has about as many weapons [0] as Peer. Ag-Rad's 2nd serve was picked on routinely and will be something Peer hopes to see plenty of today. That's my key stat in this one. When Peer has been able to pull off upsets over seeded players, she's been able to protect her own 2nd serve and win 55% or more on her opponents 2nd. Radwanksa may come out and blitz her if she got her hiccup out of the way against Wozniak, but if Peer can keep her serve from falling apart - I think she'll push Radwanska. Half a unit.

Always a chance Dolgpolov craters, problem is you don't know when it will be. All things being equal, he's got more talent in his pinkie than Rosol has in his body. But that was the same case with Kubot last tournament and Dolgopolov lost in the opening round. Said it before, the indoor surface doesn't seem to be his favorite, but it looks even worse as far as Rosol is concerned. You could probably take a dartboard shot for a few bucks on Rosol - but he's a popular upset pick on another sight and when their tipsters have a high percentage on dogs ... seen the dog get beat a high percentage of the time. I'm passing. Won't be surprised if Dolgopolov loses, but he very easily could crush this kid too.

Radwanska really struggled with the wind yesterday, I watched that match. Is the wind as bad today? Because she got more and more used to it in the 3rd set.

I tailed on Peer. Peer serving for 1st set after getting the break and loses her serve to 15, including a double fault. Just awful at closing that set.
Now got dominated on following return game to love. Went from feeling pretty good to not believing at all. Big swing!

Parlay: Anderson + Llodra [-110] Both these guys will have to work hard in their matches, but they should have the advantages today. Anderson v. Ginepri in Memphis. Ginepri has been serving well in his return from injury and has been playing on indoor courts for several weeks. He nearly got a scalp on Ryan Harrison last week, but fell short in 3. Anderson showed well in three rounds last week in San Jose, displaying his massive serve. He also showed good nerve winning his 1st rounder vs. Dimitrov where he had to get through two tie breaks. He lost to Raonic, 7-5, 7-6 and I'm thinking we may see something tight like that in this one. Anderson should be just consistent enough. Llodra is in Marseille against Chiudinelli who has knocked him off a couple times. Those did come in 2010 and this being in France, Llodra always seems to get a boost. Llodra played very well vs. Del Potro in a three set loss last week and has a solid track record in this tournament - making the finals two of the last three years.
ATP Memphis
Levine -120 Levine has shown well on indoor courts this year with a Challenger title and a solid run through qualis in Memphis. Kubot showed some class in Rotterdam, beating Dolgopolov and nearly knocking off Nieminen. His record vs. lefties is not great though, 5-13, and I like Levine already having match play on these courts.
Rochus +110 Until Bogomolov wins consistently, I'll go against him when he faces anyone with talent. Rochus isn't greatly suited to these courts, but he played Harrison tough last week [caught him on that ridiculous serving day - 27 aces] and was up a break in the 3rd on him before he folded. Bogo's two wins on this surface in 2012 have come via retirement last week against Stakhovsky and against a low ranked wildcard in Zagreb. Bogo isn't a power server, so he won't dominate Rochus the same way a guy like Harrison did. That should allow Rochus to use his best assets - speed/return - to try to work Bogo over.

Dolgpolov found his game after the 1st set. Seems to be the way he works when he gets it going. Think some of this definitely due to that blood disease.

I'd be tempted to take Beck. Beck has played pretty decently on indoor surfaces this season and took a set off Ljubicic in Zagreb before losing in 3. Ljubicic's serve was ripping against Serra though. If he serves like that, he's always tough to beat.

Eagles phan you're the most dedicated tennis punter here at SBR since shari! For that you get 2 sbr points, thats all they let me give. Now, my question for you is, do you trust Hradecka vs Tsurenko? I think she is offering very good odds, she is clearly the better player and in my opinion should have this easily won.

You would think so, but that Tsurenko chick looks like she's won at the lower level events on this surface so you never know. Probably say use Hradecka in a parlay since the price is pretty high and WTA ... anything can happen.

I'm going to start listing these as a public service to dog players. For those of you who don't know, there is a well-known tennis tipping site - don't know if I can post the name without getting infracted, so not going to but as I referenced earlier when their tipsters are backing the dog in a match-up with a high percentage, have noticed the dog appears not to win many, many times more than they do win.
Today's examples: Dolgopolov and Peng [40-14 in favor].
I bring this up because they've got Becker marked as the winner over Sela by a count of 24-6 right now. Going to try and keep a tally of these and see if this holds up. Use the info however you want.
