He's trying, just not serving as well as he did with mahut, ERV has been in decent form this week as well. I played for there to be 19-21 games @ +240, looked like this first set is heading to a TB so that is pretty much toast unless someone falls apart in the 2nd.

^yea good point. he picked it up for sure, and adjusted to erv's serve and started to predict his moves. when tsonga is on he is a beast. erv is having trouble with his serve. i have tsonga -5, he might make it, but i don't think tsonga is in any hurry though, so i might lose this one.

Yikes. Tsonga -5 on indoor courts against anyone who can serve is a large risk. Tsonga is inherently lazy like Isner. Content to serve and go deep into sets and/or a tie break.

Wolfsburg Challenger: Korolev -110
Did not realize that Korolev is King of the Carpet Munchers! 41-15 lifetime with quite a few titles, although many came 3-4 years ago. Still, impressive run through qualis here and he faces Schoorel who is still plenty green as a player, especially on this surface. Not overly concerned with the long run for Korolev through qualis as far as fatigue since several of these matches have been just over an hour.

Thought the 2nd would go deep as ERV continued to come forward while his net play was decent enough and muhammad couldn't hit a passing shot to save his life. Although was pretty confident ali would take it, hedged that 19-21 early in the 2nd with ali 7-5 @ +1000 & ali 7-6 @ +750, he takes it 7-5.

I ain't buyin' the Samurai yet. Nice wins, but his serve still seems to be lacking the bite it used to have. Still thinking about it, but it's absolutely stunning to me that Querrey is a favorite today. I realize Stepanek is not the greatest player on indoor surfaces - although he does have a solid record - but Querrey won more matches in two days in Memphis than he had all year. I'm probably taking a stab with Stepanek.

Maybe Querrey blasts him off the court, but as I said earlier, I find it stunning that Querrey went from a +200ish dog in one match to a favorite in the next. Stepanek will need improvement from yesterday when he steps onto court today. He was pushed by Sweeting to a third set tie break. The good, he obviously came thorugh in the clutch. The bad, Sweeting hadn't been a major force on this surface in his career. Still, you survive to fight another day. Querrey's serve helped him work through two tight sets with Anderson. His serve was certainly stout, but Anderson can hardly be mistaken for a great returner either. Stepanek will offer up a different game plan today, so it will be interesting to me to see how Querrey adjusts and to see if his serve holds up.

I think the scoreline for this Querrey match is misleading. Stepanek blew that lead in the first, this easily could have been 6-3, 6-0.

I am on Berlocq for a unit, the way he played against Simon yesterday gives him a shot at anyone. The Austrian dirtballer also has a decent chance against Babos IMO.

Ok thanks for the input. I just feel for some reason Nalbandian will win the first set and than fall apart so I am betting nalbandian first set and Babos winning 2-1.

Good luck. I have more faith in Mayr-Achleitner than I do in Berlocq as a dog, but strangely, I bet Berlocq. Just a hunch.

Thanks man Berloq is a guy I could see winning if it goes to 3 sets because of his hustle. So I'm taking Nalbandian to win first set.
