#2452It's a long shot. I am still not overly impressed by Tomic from tournament to tournament as far as preparation. But Haas hasn't played since Melbourne, so expecting him to show up and play well from the get go is tough.Comment -

#2453LoL. On Feb.19th, I was 55-55. When Bellucci finishes losing, I will be 12-25 since then. If you had been aboard the fade train, you would be fukkin rich.

#2456Don't worry about it eagles, you are the best poster in this tennis subforum. Its all about discussion of matches, nobody should ever just blindly tail any picks. Your write ups are fantastic. I dont think you should even keep a record, your discussion of the matches is all that matters, those discussion of the tourneys from your blog were some of the best I have seen.
So many matches to look at and having you posting every day makes it easier to look at these matches, reading alot of other forums like tennis insight is ok but their forum layout isn't the most pleasant for reading purposes. Keep up the good work eagles, much appreciated.Comment -

#2460Alright. As usual, the night before everything feels good. Then the matches start .... Anywho. I am quite certain that some dogs are gonna cash on Tuesday, so let's get on the right side.
Tuesday, February 28th
ATP Dubai: Dolgopolov +300
Dolgopolov draws Del Potro and this is an interesting spot. DelPo scheduled this very well I think because I believe he's avoiding having to defend his points as the champion at Delray Beach by playing Dubai. He's coming in off two very long weeks back-2-back with two finals appearances, so fatigue + desire are a big question mark here. Also consider that Indian Wells is next up where he has more points to defend as a semifinalist and Del Potro may or may not care to make a deep run in Dubai. Dolgpolov should appreciate the swing back to outdoor hard courts where his tricky slices and differing shot speeds seem to jive better with uncontrolled conditions. I thought Dolgopolov showed some of his better tennis against Llodra in losing last week, so if he's not effected by his condition to start Dubai - look for him to give DelPo a run. They met last year in Indian Wells. DelPo won in straights, a close set and then DelPo ran away in the 2nd.
ATP Dubai: Baghdatis +290
Baggy has had about two weeks to heal from his calf injury in Rotterdam and he draws Tsonga first-up. It will be interesting to see how Tsonga bounces back from losing to Del Potro in Marseille. This is also that swing tournament before Indian Wells as mentioned before where a lot more focus may be put forward by some. I don't think this is a mismatch with Tsonga's lazy game plan at times where he'll allow matches to simply go deep on-serve and try to pull something out late either in a tie break or with a late break opportunity. Motivation could be the big key this week and I think Baghdatis sounds like he's coming in with a little chip on his shoulder. May not translate, but I'll give it a whirl.
WTA Kuala Lumpur: Sema +115
Grandma Jill Craybas takes her creaky bones to the Far East. Last time we saw Craybas, she was retiring in Paris with a leg injury. Sema is nothing special, but has had a lot of success in the Far East on the ITF circuit on hard courts. At this stage in Craybas' career, it's tough to go with her against anyone with legs. This will probably be ugly, but looking at the fresher legs of Sema to have a real shot here.Comment -

#2463All I'm looking to go with those two is 1-1 and it's a nice profit. I actually had those two and Chiudinelli as a potential third large dog. Did not want to play all three as it's rare to see a bunch of larger dogs cash ... but I think one of those three wins straight up tomorrow. With my luck, probably Chuds. Felt he was a decent try against Davydenko who was hobbled last week and is long overdue for a tournament where he shows up in Donkey mode.
The Del Potro was one I had highlighted as soon as I saw the draw. If it was another indoor tournament, I wouldn't touch it - but heading into real conditions outdoors now and as said with plenty of match play on Del Potro's legs ... think it is a prime spot to try going against him at a large price with a capable player. That's the one thing I still question about DelPo at this stage is his fitness. Playing short points indoors is one thing, if Dolgpolov can craft him into playing rallies ... I think that works to his favor. Of course, DelPo could also crush him if Dolgpolov comes out in WanderDick mode.Comment -

#2465I implore you to look at dellacqua/jovanovski. I kinda really like Jovanovski at minus a quarter. Dellacqua has done nothing but lose the last year or so, and jovanovski showed some promise in the 3rdq of last season. At -125, i think its a damned good price. Thoughts? Starts in 20m.Comment -

#2467I looked at Jovanovski-Dellacqua. Looked like an absolute toss-up based on their two meetings this year, you just don't know which one is going to show up. Hadn't seen shit from either that suggested you could trust either one to show up big. I'd rather do what I'm doing and fade the old lady and hope they don't allow her to use her wheel chair.Comment -
