#1333WTA ACAPULCO: PUOS TIO +115
Good chance to take another dog here with the Spaniard up against Halep. Puos Tio has looked pretty solid on clay over the past two tournaments. She made a final on the ITF level and then followed with a QF appearance last week in Bogota on the WTA level. She's also played well at this tournament previously, making the QFs last year losing a tough three set match to Venus. Halep lost her first up on dirt in two tight tie breaks, nothing to be ashamed of last week. Halep has plenty of game on this surface with a couple good runs last year on dirt. I THINK though that given current form, Pous Tio rates a shot today. Both girls are WTA-style serves in that they will offer the other chances to break ... 1st serve will be important.

#1335ATP DELRAY BEACH: SWEETING -125
Sweeting draws Andreev today and this looks to be a nice spot for the American. He ran through qualis easily here to get to the main draw and actually flashed some pop on-serve. This is the surface Sweeting plays the majority of his matches on and he's been fairly consistent on it this season. Andreev meanwhile has been in dismal form with a 3-5 record, including 1-3 in his last three tournaments. All those were on clay. Switching now to hard courts won't improve his chances much as he's about a .500 player on the surface. He is 2-3 on it this year in main draws with wins over Chardy and Volandri. Last year, the Russian played just nine main draw matches on outdoor hard courts going 4-5. Andreev doesn't have the kind of overpowering serve that would give Sweeting trouble, so this figures to be about consistency in saving break opps and converting break opps. If Sweeting can carry over his service form from qualis, he rates a solid shot to win.

#1340What you guys think Bubka +620 against Gasquet tomorrow? I watched both of their matches yesterday and Bubka looked like top 30 player and dominated against Ljubicic in 1st set before Ljubicic retired.... and Gasquet looked just average (he didnt need to do anything though because Dimitrov missed almost all his shots).... I think Bubka has very realistic chance of winning this matchComment -

#1341Can't read much into Bubka yesterday. Ljubicic was hurt before the match started with a leg injury that he said hampered every thing he tried to do.Comment -

#1342WTA ACAPULCO: GALLOVITS-HALL +145
I like betting on something that sounds like a college dormitory. I hooked up with a chick in Gallovits-Hall once ... and then never called her back. The Romanian draws Arn on dirt today with these two having met several times in their careers. The last came two years ago at this spot when Arn won in straights. Quite outdated, so I won't read too much into that. What I do like here for Gallovits-Hall is that she got her first clay match under her belt last week in Bogota. A competitive three set loss. Meanwhile, Arn has played sparingly this season since her surprise Hobart title. She lost in the opening round at Melbourne and played one match in Fed Cup play in which she was beaten soundly by Rus. That leaves her to try and hit the court running here on dirt for the first time in 2011. Arn has played in Acapulco plenty, but has just 1-4 in the main draw. She's shown some ability on dirt, but mainly has struggled to consistently win in the main draw. Gallovits-Hall had a fantastic year on clay at the lower level ITF with three titles in 2010. She also made the semis here last year. I THINK this is another one where serving holds will be at a premium. Getting 1st serves in will again be of upmost importance and whichever girl can consistently do that likely walks away the winner. I give Gallovits-Hall a little edge here with some match play on dirt already and Arn needing to reprove herself after her one shining moment early this year.

#1350WTA ACAPULCO: JOHANSSON -105
Stupid is as stupid does, but how in the fukk do you want to back Govortsova as a favorite here? She's only won around 34% of her last 50 matches overall and on clay, has lost seven of her last nine matches. Outside of her surprise trip to the Ponte Vedra final last April, she generally has been a very average player on dirt. Overall, she's lost her three main draw matches in 2011 and has not been on clay yet. Johansson meanwhile comes in with some form after making the Bogota final last week. She's played exclusively on clay the last two weeks and should have a match-play advantage on the surface as a result. On clay, she has been a solid performer but most of those recent results are from the ITF level. Still, the South African won four titles on this surface in 2010. She should have the confidence that if she can serve reasonably well and keep her double faults low, she'll have a chance today.

#1360First match on clay, I'm not touching him. Bellucci is very capable on this surface although he's a mental case. Verdasco should come through, but I don't see it is a must play ... better to watch and see how he adapts to dirt. Should be fine as he showed during a great run last year, but you never know.Comment -

DEUCE: KOHLSCHREIBER + PEER [+109]
Kohlschreiber looked sharp vs. Troicki & holds a head-2-head win over Petzschner on this surface in the last year. Petz worked hard to get past Seppi, but is not good on outdoor hard courts at under .500. Only won back-2-back in a hard court tournament once in the last year and a half. Peer is 7-2 vs. Bartoli. Good run by Peer over the past two weeks. Been excellent at converting break opps. Bartoli is good on this surface, but like most WTA players her serve can be a liability. Peer will use her returning and speed to try and make Bartoli work into unforced errors.
WTA DOHA: PENG +110
Schiavone has been pretty resilient, but on this surface she has not made deep runs routinely at non-Slams. Peng again has had plenty of court-time this week, running through qualis and a squash job in the opening round. This should be a great battle of wills with two players who run balls down and force their opponents to work for every point. I THINK Peng's form is a bit better at this point and in a match that looks fairly even outside of that, the plus money is where to go.
WTA DOHA: SAFAROVA +165
Safarova beat Pennetta twice last year on two different surfaces. Pennetta mostly has not been able to do enough with Safarova's serve in their previous meetings. Safarova was solid vs. Ag-Rad in her opener and should have some confidence here. Pennetta is the better player on this surface, but she's also played a bunch of tennis over the past three weeks. If Safarova serves well and makes Pennetta work, she could wear her down and I THINK is worthy of a shot here.
