Had the PK chance and the inter had a great chance after that....we should have had that one.

Losing out on a missed penalty kick in extra time really blows. I still can't believe Milan couldn't score in this one. I thought 1-1 was gonna be the final after that red card in the 1st and then Inter gets a 2nd. Sheesh. Oh well.

#1649Play #241: [Africa Cup of Nations] Nigeria/Zambia OVER 2/2.5 (-108)
Been following this tournament, but not betting it much - however, Zambia and goals have been a pretty solid wager. They have not kept a clean sheet in their last three matches in the tournament, yielding and conceding in each. All three of those hit at least 2 goals. Nigeria is full of offense and has netted 5 goals in their last three in this competition. Nigeria has kept two straight clean sheets, but those came against Mozambique & Benin, the two lowest scoring countries in their group. I see both hitting the scoresheet and there is enough quality for one of them to get that 2nd goal, likely Nigeria in my opinion.Comment -

#1659Play #242: [England Premier] Wolverhampton vs. Liverpool UNDER 2.5 (-127)
Liverpool will be without Fernando Torres, Steven Gerard and Yossi Benayoun today. The Reds are still a potent side without that attacking trio, but on the road they have not found the back of the net nearly as well as they do on their home pitch. In their last 15 competitions overall on the road, they have scored one goal or none in 13. Liverpool has also scored multiple goals just once in their last 5 overall. Their defense has been tight after a soft start on the road where they allowed 12 goals in their first six Premier League road matches this season. Since then, they have allowed just three goals in their last five with two of those coming in one match. Wolverhampton is not a stout defensive unit, allowing 7 goals in their last 5 at home. They have however been pretty solid at giving up just one goal. They have allowed one goal or none in 7 of 11 at home and have only allowed more than two on two occassions. Their offense has tallied goals in 6 of 11 at home, but they have been kept off the scoresheet in their last two at home. Wolverhampton has just 3 goals in their last 5 competitive matches. The day after Christmas when these two met at Anfield Road, Liverpool took home a 2-0 win with two second half goals from Gerrard & Benayoun. Liverpool has a shot to leapfrog Tottenham into 4th place depending on the outcome of the Spurs match with Fulham. I expect a strong effort from Liverpool defensively and with the missing firepower, we could see a lower scoring contest.Comment -

#1668Play #243: [England Carling Cup] Manchester United vs. Manchester City OVER 2.5 (-125)
Simple formula here. United trails from the first leg, 2-1. That means they need to win by at least two goals if they plan on moving into the final of the Carling Cup. That looks to be a solid shot here as United remains one of the best scoring outfits at home in the English Premier League. In 11 of their last 15 at home in all competitions, United has netted multiple goals. That includes 15 goals in their last 5 at Old Trafford. City meanwhile has now given up a goal in four straight overall. On the road in 2010, they have yielded back to back two goal matches against Everton in EPL play and Scunthorpe United in Cup play. City remain a potent scoring squad since Mancini took over as manager. They have 15 goals in the 7 matches since he was put in charge. Expect both to field a strong starting 11 today. I think United gets at least two and by having to push forward, that should also open up chances for City and the tantalizing scoring machine, Carlos Tevez. Be patient with this one as United is perhaps the best 2nd half scoring club in the world of late. An early goal by either would really open this one up!Comment -
