Nina, I can't say I agree with your analogy. First of all, Brock was faced with a choice. He did not violently threaten anyone. There is a big difference there. Some could call it stealing, or simply taking advantage of a situation. Still others could say it was a twist of fate, even still, it was his choice to make.

(Not to Nina specifically) Seems there are a lot of holier than thou gamblers here who have probably done much worse things in their lives that they are not proud of (me included). The difference is none of us know about those things.
