WASHINGTON, D.C. — With President Trump and Republicans campaigning hard to shore up election integrity in the U.S., congressional Democrats agreed to negotiate on the issue on the condition that death certificates be added to the list of acceptable forms of voter ID.

Though initially opposed to any form of legislation mandating voter ID, Democrats surprisingly came forward with a proposal to compromise by guaranteeing that presenting a current death certificate would be accepted as valid identification to vote in elections.

"It's our base's most widely used form of documentation," said House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. "We didn't want to open any kind of discussion with Republicans about requiring voter ID unless it included death certificates. If they're not willing to consider granting us that request, then it's a no-go. How would our voters be expected to contribute to democracy if their death certificates aren't accepted as identification?"

Democrats stressed that including death certificates on the list of valid forms of identification was vital to any potential agreement on the issue. "This is about making sure our voters aren't disenfranchised," said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. "While it's often challenging for our supporters to obtain drivers' licenses and other forms of official ID, we have millions and millions of registered Democrats who have valid death certificates. Their voices must continue to be heard."

At publishing time, Democrats had updated their demand to allow documentation from every other country in the world be acceptable to vote in the United States.

Las Vegas man who voted twice using dead wife’s ballot pleads guilty, avoids jail time

Donald "Kirk" Hartle took deal with misdemeanor election-related charge

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas man who voted twice in the 2020 election with his deceased wife’s ballot withdrew his plea on a felony charge Thursday and instead pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor as part of a plea deal where he avoided jail time and had to pay a $2,000 fine.

The 8 News Now Investigators first reported Donald “Kirk” Hartle, 56, a registered Republican, was facing two charges relating to the 2020 election. In court last November, Hartle pleaded guilty to one charge of voting more than once in the same election. Hartle had reached a deal with prosecutors to avoid prison time and to change his plea after a year.

Last November, Judge Carli Kierny fined Hartle $2,000 and ordered him to stay out of trouble. Having completed that requirement as of Thursday, Judge Bita Yeager accepted Hartle’s updated guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of conspiracy to vote more than once in an election.

Rosemarie Hartle, of Las Vegas, died in 2017 at age 52 from breast cancer, Kirk Hartle told the 8 News Now Investigators in an interview in 2020. A ballot for Rosemarie Hartle was issued in October 2020 and later received by the county, but Kirk Hartle said the ballot never came to his house. The 8 News Now Investigators found even though Rosemarie died in 2017, her name appeared on the active voter list.

ya like the war was Trump's fault. Putin even said he wouldn't have gone into the Ukraine if Trump was president.

    Nice try he/him.

So here me now. It's 11:41 pm at night (that's when the post was made). Taco is going down to the White House kitchen to get a Diet Coke. He leaves his phone on a desk by mistake. A staffer who happens to be around finds Taco's phone and grabs it to take it to him. But then he hides behind a golden curtain and manages to post Obamas video on Taco's personal account and then hands it over to him. Taco sees the video after he comes back and does nothing nor does he fire the staffer who posted this from his phone without authorization.

Do you realize how stupid this sounds to even you to believe it?
    You sound vaccinated.

It's common knowledge that staffers post stuff on the president's social media. It's also common knowledge Trump does post stuff also. This isn't anything new, as is the fact that you will immediately parrot the latest talking point narrative the liberal media decided to push.

This latest fake outrage is just another in the long list of failed attempts you decided to push. It must be exhausting.

Trump explains it perfectly in the second video below. This is a non story.

and here is the actual video. A couple seconds and then deleted. But that's enough for the radicals to get triggered and lose their collective minds.

    Spare us the fake outrage

You can't argue with a liberal. Their "assumptions" are not only meritless, they lack proof and and common sense.
