Baltimore Police officer charged with lying about record-setting bust in which nearly 7 pounds of cocaine were found in truck

It was billed as the biggest cocaine bust in Baltimore Police Department history: officers from the elite Violent Crimes Impact Division conducting surveillance on a West Baltimore drug trafficker a decade ago found 41 kilograms of cocaine in the back of a truck.

“Just good old fashioned police work from the ground up," read the commendation awarded by the department to officers in on the bust.

But as the Gun Trace Task Force corruption scandal continues to break down the mythology around the department’s hard-charging plainclothes units, federal prosecutors say that record-setting bust was not as it appeared.

Detective Ivo Louvado was charged Thursday with lying to the FBI about participating in a scheme to sell cocaine from that bust. Prosecutors said in court records that he and two others conspired to sell 3 kilograms that were not reported as seized, giving the drugs to a confidential informant to sell and dividing the proceeds among themselves. Louvado’s alleged cut: $10,000.

Louvado is the 14th officer charged by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the continuing investigation — sparked in 2015 by a drug case that led to a wiretap of a police officer — that uncovered long-running misconduct by members of the Gun Trace Task Force, including robbing citizens, lying in police reports and drug dealing.

Two other officers were implicated in the latest charges — former Sgt. Keith Gladstone, who pleaded guilty to taking in part in a BB-gun planting incident and has not been sentenced yet, and an officer identified only by his initials, “V.R.”

The Sun reported last week that police said Det. Victor Rivera, who was part of the unit at the time of the cocaine bust, was suspended as part of an ongoing investigation. Police now say he retired this month. He has not been charged with a crime.

The charging document says “V.R.” sold the cocaine to a confidential informant of his, and that “V.R.” received the proceeds and shared them with Louvado and Gladstone.

The case has been on federal investigators’ radar for some time: Prosecutors say Louvado voluntarily participated in an interview with the FBI in May 2018 and was asked about the cocaine seizure. The defendant charged in the drug bust, Trenell Muprhy, had his federal sentence of 20 years reduced by five years in February 2019 after a joint motion by prosecutors and Murphy’s defense attorney. He is due to be released next January.

The Sun reported last week that Rivera, Louvado and Craig Jester, who also took part in the bust, were suspended along with at least one other officer with ties to GTTF Sgt. Wayne Jenkins, who is serving a 25-year sentence in connection with being the ringleader of the GTTF, and Gladstone.

The charges say that 41 kilograms were submitted as evidence, but Louvado, Gladstone and “V.R.” later found three more kilograms from the Murphy seizure that were left behind. It is not clear whether it was an oversight or intentional.

“Rather than turn this cocaine into BPD, Louvado, K.G. and V.R. agreed to sell the cocaine and split the proceeds from its sale,” the charging document reads.

“V.R.” coordinated the sale with an informant who was a drug dealer, and split the proceeds with the other officers.

The officers received a Bronze Star from the department for the bust and other efforts. The commendation said then-Deputy Commissioner Anthony Barksdale had tasked members of the Violent Crimes Impact Division to step up enforcement and that the squad, led by Sgt. William Knoerlein, “accepted the challenge.”

“In a thirty-day period they arrested five violent traffickers along the I-95 corridor netting 44 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of $5,000,000,” the commendation read. “None of these cases utilized any complex investigative measures, just good old fashioned police work from the ground up.”

Reached for comment Thursday, Barksdale, who retired in 2013, maintained that the misconduct was largely hidden from top supervisors.
    ("Largely" but not entirely???)

“If these guys drifted off and turned to the dark side, I’m not defending them,” Barksdale said.

Florida Cop Charged with Sending Photo of His Genitals to a Undercover FBI Agent

I think your're hot is what a cop told a FBI agent posing as a teenage girl

Officer Andrew Hammock, 46, of the Margate Police Department was arrested by the FBI on March 17 in Margate, FL during his road patrol shift. Hammock faces federal charges after allegedly exchanging graphic photos with a teenage girl.

The FBI charged Hammock with soliciting sexually explicit images from a minor.

According to NBC Miami federal authorities began investigating Hammock in mid-February. An undercover FBI agent had spotted an alleged post by Hammock on an app that’s often used to find individuals for in-person sexual encounters.

The FBI agent was posing as a 14-year-old girl, the agent talked with Hammock for roughly a month. Most of the conversations included sexual activity.

In a conversation, Hammock is accused of writing:

“Let’s not make age an issue. I think you’re hot. I feel like peeking and being peeked at by a younger girl.”

Court documents say Hammock sent pictures of his genitals to the FBI agent and also repeatedly asked for nudes despite admitting he was married.

Following his arrest Hammock was placed on administrative leave without pay. Jail records show that Hammock is being held at the Main Jail in Broward County. Hammock is a 17-year veteran of the Margate Police Department.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida will prosecute his case.If convicted, Hammock faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years and up to 30 years in federal prison.

More oath breaking blue line gang members enforcing feelings instead of the law as they illegally detain a man who has broken no laws. Then, they try to fabricate unfounded charges to justify their violation of this man's rights. Whenever these costumed and badged thugs encounter any resistance to their unlawful demands and say, "Here's the deal," "This is what's going to happen," or "We got a call," you know they are about to attempt to violate someone's rights and/or operate outside of the law which they swore an oath to uphold. The amount of blathering and copsplaining by these order followers in this video is appalling and further shows that they are accustomed to people just obeying and licking their boots.

How in the hell are these two oath breaking criminals still employed after being caught planting drugs on innocent people TWICE??? Pigs protecting pigs no matter how egregious their behavior may be. This is utterly disgusting.

“We Gotta Find Something” — Cops Fist Bump After Planting Weed on Innocent Man

New York, NY — We wish we were able to make this stuff up folks but there’s yet another video of a police officer caught on his own body camera planting drugs on suspects. Kyle Erickson and Elmer Pastran, two of NYPD’s finest officers told each other they “gotta find something” on Mr. Jason Serrano and his friend.

Immediately after pulling over the two individuals for a supposed broken taillight — which was not broken at all — these two hero cops instantly said they smelled weed. A scathing report from the Intercept details how the seen unfolded next:

"Serrano was sitting in the passenger seat of his friend’s car when Erickson and Pastran stopped them. The officers later claimed the car had a broken taillight, but according to Serrano, the officers had been further up the road and made a U-turn to pull up by the car, and they couldn’t have seen the taillight from that position. As soon as the driver rolled down the window, Erickson and Pastran claimed the car smelled “like weed” and ordered her and Serrano out, both officers’ camera feeds show. The videos then show Serrano, who was recovering from abdominal surgery after being stabbed, lifting his clothes to show his wound to Erickson and telling him “I can barely move” (“I don’t want to see that,” the officer responds). Once out of the car, the officers demand to search Serrano’s jacket and he refuses, telling them “There’s nothing in there. … I’m not getting searched for no reason.” As Serrano grows agitated, the officers become more aggressive, grab him, push him to the ground, and handcuff him.

“They said I was resisting arrest, but I just didn’t want to hit the floor, the only thing I was thinking about was this,” Serrano said during a recent interview, pointing to his stomach. “I still had staples in me. … I couldn’t even stand up straight.”

Using the old trick of having sensitive noses, the two cops then began to search the car. Erickson and Pastran didn’t find any weed but continued to search the vehicle nonetheless. Pastran did not find any weed on Serrano’s person either.

The two police officers knew that a tail light being broken was not good enough probable cause to search the vehicle, so they used the claim to have smelled weed.

Erickson then asked his partner if they should “search the whole car” and the two agreed it needed to happen. Without finding any weed, Officer Erickson then decides to take matters into his own hands and place “a little bit of weed” on top of the cup holder. Unfortunately, the whole incident of planting of drugs by a law enforcement officer was caught on Erickson’s own body camera. Erickson and Pastran actually gave each other a fist bump after they manhandled Serrano, violated his and his friend’s civil rights, framed him, and took an innocent man to jail.

This latest incident was discovered by the Intercept a full two years after the incident took place. Serrano took a plea deal for a crime he did not commit simply to avoid jail time. After all, the cops wrote in their police reports they had found weed in Serrano’s possession even though the car was not his, he was not driving, and he was not in possession of any cannabis.

As you might have guessed, it wasn’t the first time these officers were caught on camera behaving badly. In fact, the New York Times revealed in 2018 Officers Erickson and Pastran were involved in another incident which was also caught on camera whereby the two planted drugs on a teenager.

The Staten Island 120th Precinct cops pulled over an African American male who was driving a BMW. Lasou Kuyateh was the driver and he saw one of the officers planting weed in the BMW after the two dirty cops had searched the vehicle entirely.

In that instance, Erickson switches off his body camera and when it comes back on, he miraculously found a joint that was not there when his partner searched the exact same spot. Kuyateh is even recorded on the video as he sees the cop planting the drugs saying Erickson is “putting something in my car.”

Kuyateh was arrested and thrown in jail for two weeks after these cops framed him. He eventually fought the charges in court and won. He began proceedings last year to sue the city for $1 million.

Almost 18,000 people per year since 2014 have been arrested and charged in New York for weed crimes. These arrest have never been about keeping people safe. Weed is a wonder drug by all accounts, one which is now legal in some form or another in well over half the country. It has always been about criminalizing all Americans so the lawyers, the courts, and the cops keep getting their big fat paychecks. You two gentlemen, Erickson and Pastran, are not heroes, neither is any police officer who arrests anyone for possessing a healing herb.

Despite being caught on video TWICE planting drugs on innocent people, Erickson and Pastran are still protecting and serving the hell out of folks there in Staten Island. Following multiple complaints and the accompanying body camera footage, Internal Investigations declared the allegations against the officers was “unfounded”. Go figure. Bad apples? In this case, the whole tree is full of bad apples!

More low IQ blue line gang members who are ignorant of the laws that they and their egos are enforcing. These two jackboot thugs see a disabled woman as an easy target for revenue generation and violate the Americans with Disabilities Act with their corrupt behavior. Does anyone actually feel safer knowing that a disabled woman was no longer riding her motorized scooter on the sidewalk as she is allowed to do? Once again harass and collect supersedes serve and protect.

Disabled Brookings woman sues police for citing, then chasing her for riding mobility scooter on sidewalk

A disabled Brookings woman has filed a civil rights suit against Brookings police, alleging they unlawfully stopped her and violated the federal Americans with Disabilities Act when they cited her for riding her mobile electric scooter on a sidewalk without a helmet and then chased her when she continued to ride home.

Jennifer Gayman, 49, is seeking $500,000 in damages, plus a judgment for unspecified punitive damages under the federal suit filed in the U.S. District Court in Medford this week.

Neither Brookings Public Safety Director Kelby McCrae nor the city manager Janell Howard returned messages seeking comment Wednesday.

Gayman suffers from a degenerative eye disease and pulmonary disease and relies on a mobile scooter to get around.

Gayman was headed home shortly after midnight on Nov. 19, 2018, after a night with friends doing karaoke when two officers stopped her on the sidewalk. They told her she couldn’t operate her scooter on the sidewalk, in a crosswalk or without a helmet, according to her suit.

She challenged their contention as the officers could be seen on their body camera footage trying to search the internet to find the appropriate state law.

The officers cited her for operating the scooter in a crosswalk, unsafe operation of the scooter and failure to wear protective headgear.

The officers then advised Gayman she couldn’t continue to ride the scooter home, about one to two miles away. The officers also didn’t offer her a ride.

“I want to go home. You guys are pulling me over for no reason,’’ she could be heard telling them, based on the police body camera footage obtained by her lawyer. “You take my disability act, and you’re throwing it in the garbage.’’

Fed up and confident she he had a legal right to use her mobile scooter, Grayman continued to ride it home early that morning in the dark.

The officers, in their patrol cars, then chased after Gayman, traveling with emergency lights and sirens activated, driving about 15 miles an hour behind her for the next several minutes.

They also radioed for backup, alleging Gayman was “eluding’’ police.

As Gayman arrived home and entered her garage, officers surrounded her and arrested her, adding two charges, attempting to elude police and interfering with an officer.

Curry County prosecutors took Gayman to trial, and she was convicted of attempting to elude police. A judge sentenced her to five days in jail and 18 months of probation.

Attorney Jacob Johnstun, who is representing Gayman in her civil suit, said the officers looked up state law on scooters but didn’t take into account how the law applies to a disabled woman.

The suit contends the officers violated her rights under federal disabilities law, which says government municipalities must provide accommodations for people with disabilities who require the assistance of a mobility aid or device.

Under the American with Disabilities Act, “certain local rules and laws do not apply to persons with disabilities while they are utilizing their mobility devices,’’ such as the requirement of the use of a helmet or other protective head gear while using a scooter under Oregon state law, Johnstun argues in the suit.

“It is ridiculous,’’ Johnstun said. “It strains belief that any officer can really believe that the law required a disabled woman to have to get off their scooter and walk it across the crosswalk.’’

The suit alleges Brookings police failed to train its officers on the federal Americans with Disabilities Act and on ADA-approved mobility devices and failed to withdraw the charges against Gayman after provided evidence about the required accommodations.

Cops Conspire On Video to Frame Innocent Man for Assault, Get Him Convicted — Not Fired

Columbia, SC — Demetrius Jamison sat in a cage for 128 days, staring down the barrel of a 20-year prison sentence he was facing — for a crime he never committed. He was found guilty of this crime because public servants conspired to frame him. Despite the fact that the officers lied to frame an innocent man for a crime he did not commit, not a single one of them was charged — or even fired.

This week, taxpayers in Columbia, SC were robbed of $750,000 to pay for the lies and cruelty of Corporal Justin Harris, and officers Cody Miles, Nicholas Smoak and Phillip Martin. This is an insultingly low payout considering the fact that Jamison served four months in jail and could’ve spent 20 years for a crime he did not commit.

“This is a case of failed leadership,” Justin Bamberg, Jamison’s attorney said, following the settlement approval. “Imagine law enforcement alleging that you were guilty of something that some of them already knew you didn’t do, and all the while, you sat in jail contemplating the 20 years in state prison you were facing. That’s unacceptable and un-American.”

Jamison’s nightmare started in April 2018 when cops asked him about bulges he had in his socks. Jamison admitted to the officers that he had several marijuana roaches in his socks. Not wanting to be kidnapped or extorted for possessing a plant that makes him happy, Jamison made the decision — albeit a poor one — to run. He was tackled immediately and put into handcuffs as there were more than a half dozen cops responding to the roaches in his socks.

After Jamison was placed in handcuffs, Harris, who was the ranking officer at the scene, questioned the officers about what happened. Officer Miles said he was struck in the face—it would later be determined that he sustained a broken eye socket—and Martin suffered an injured ankle.

Jamison was arrested and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, a felony, as well as misdemeanor assault and battery, and resisting arrest.

When he was arraigned, the judge refused to grant Jamison bail due to the severity of his alleged crimes. The judge told Jamison “You have an officer who has sustained severe injuries that are possibly career ending. That is of grave concern to the court.”

Police Chief Mike Adams also went before the judge — without any proof — and said, “This individual standing before us appears to be highly dangerous, especially to law enforcement.”

During the trial, in which Jamison represented himself, he continuously denied hitting the officers, or even touching them. But the cops came in with their lies and committed perjury to put this innocent man in jail.

Officer Smoak would testify under oath that Jamison had headbutted Miles and injured Martin during the struggle to arrest him. Smoak said that Miles was knocked out and suffered a concussion.

The court believed the lying cops over the innocent man and Jamison was sentenced to prison.

After he was convicted, Justin Bamberg, who would eventually go on to represent Jamison in his civil suit, obtained a copy of an internal police department memo created on June 3—three days before Jamison’s misdemeanor trial—that detailed how the officers who had been injured were actually hurt by their fellow officers, not by Jamison.

According to the National Registry of Exonerations,

According to the documents, on May 7, 2018—less than two weeks after Jamison was arrested—the Orangeburg police training office reviewed the police body camera footage from the arrest. When a lieutenant noticed there was no contact between Jamison and the officers, he requested a copy of a “use of force report,” which was required to be completed when officers used force to subdue a suspect. However, the report had not been completed—a breach of policy.

When the report was finally completed by Corporal Harris on June 3, it said that Jamison headbutted Miles while Jamison was “actively resisting” arrest. The report was approved by a sergeant, and then by a captain and ultimately Orangeburg police chief Mike Adams.

The lieutenant would then write his own memorandum telling the truth about what happened and how the officers were injured. During the melee, one officer jumped on another and they injured themselves. All the while, as the body cam shows, Jamison was pinned face down in the dirt.

“It is clear that (Jamison) never made physical contact or attempted to make contact with…Miles. This claim appears to be false,” the training officer wrote. “Officer Miles should be immediately relieved from duty and have an internal investigation…to find out why the officer made false claims against the suspect and if criminal charges need to be pursued.”

The lying cops even admitted on the body camera footage that “One of you hit me in the face…somebody headbutted me.” And when Martin was asked what was wrong with his ankle, he replied, “Smoak’s big ass landed on it.”

State police eventually discovered these facts after they investigated Jamison’s arrest, ultimately determining he did not hurt any officers, according to Bamberg. Despite committing multiple crimes and conspiring to frame an innocent man, prosecutors did not bring charges against officers — a travesty of justice indeed.

Below is the body camera footage. Had Jamison known of its existence, he could’ve presented it on his behalf in court and never would have been convicted.

Former Edgecombe deputy arrested, accused of shooting up ex-girlfriend's house, car.

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A former Edgecombe County Sheriff's deputy was arrested and accused of shooting up his ex-girlfriend's home and car in Virginia on February 19.

Edgecombe County Sheriff Cleveland Atkinson Jr. said 24-year-old Joshua Bulloch resigned in October. Atkinson said the Fairfax County Police Department in Virginia notified him about the allegations against Bulloch.

According to a search warrant, investigators went to Bulloch's Knightdale home and took a gun and two laptops.

The warrant said Bulloch's ex-girlfriend said he threatened to shoot her in the past and texted her saying he'd ruin her life.

When an innocent man, Aron Flanagan, stands up for his rights and later states he's filing a complaint against officer Billy White for his egregious behavior, White responds, "You know what, if you're going to file a complaint we'll just charge you." Spoken like a true blue line gang member. Tyrant White then handcuffs and kidnaps Flanagan, who has committed no crime or broken any law. This pig thinks that everyone should lick his boots and just obey his unlawful demands and if not, he'll fabricate a contempt of cop charge to arrest and cage anyone. Centralia's police chief, Greg Dodson, says the oath breaker was "disciplined" for his actions, but we all know that nothing was done. At least nothing that will prevent this thug wearing a costume and badge from doing this again.

CPD OFFICER DISCIPLINED FOLLOWING ARREST OF GOOD SAMARITAN

CENTRALIA — The Centralia Police department released body camera video of an incident that occurred on March 7, 2020, and has resulted in a police officer being disciplined.

According to Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson, the incident was brought to his attention as the result of a citizen complaint.

The video shows Officer Billy White arresting Aron Flanagan after Flanagan and his daughter had called 911 for a man they found lying on the ground near the 13th Street railroad crossing. The man, evidently intoxicated, had claimed he had been struck by a vehicle.

Upon his arrival, White told Flanagan to move his vehicle, but Flanagan informed him they were going to leave since emergency personnel had arrived. White told him he needed their information before they left. That quickly led to an argument between White and Flanagan who said he did not have an ID and would not give his name.

White quickly began cursing and handcuffed Flanagan and ordered another officer to place him in his squad car. White told Flanagan he was under arrest for obstruction of justice but he has not been charged in court.

The incident was reviewed by Dodson and the command staff who found White’s behavior to be in violation of department policy and standards of conduct.

According to Dodson, White has been disciplined, and steps have been taken to prevent this type of conduct in the future. The Department as a whole will be provided further training and Dodson says he is also reinforcing his expectations of how officers’ interactions with the public are and how they must meet the department’s clearly established code of conduct.

White was suspended in 2018 after dashcam video showed him crashing his squad car into a Centralia High School student in the school parking lot.

Both vehicles were totaled and both White and the student were injured. Her parents subsequently filed a lawsuit against White and the City of Centralia.

Cop Arrested for Responding to ‘911 Hang Up’ Call by Sexually Assaulting a Woman

Winston Salem, NC — A Winston-Salem cop has been arrested and fired this week for alleged sexual battery while on duty. Winston-Salem Police Department Patrol Officer Harry L. White III responded to a call for service at a local hotel and is accused of sexually assaulting a woman he encountered inside.

According to police, on Feb. 20, White was responding to a ‘911 Hang Up’ call at the Best Western Plus University Inn at 3050 University Parkway. White was on the scene for an unspecified length of time before he cleared the call for service. Only four minutes after White gave the all clear notification, the Winston-Salem Police Department received a call from a woman who encountered officer White while he was on the call.

The woman told officers that officer White had sexually assaulted her while responding to the call.

After the woman made the call, field commanders for the patrol division responded to the hotel to investigate. The responsibility for the investigation into the allegation of criminal conduct against Officer White was assumed by detectives in the Special Victim’s Unit of the Winston-Salem Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, reports FOX 8.

Since Feb 20, White had been on paid administrative leave as authorities investigated the alleged assault. On Monday, authorities charged White with aggravated sexual battery and he was taken into custody at the Forsyth County Detention Center without incident.

He was then granted a $2,500 unsecured bond and released.

White was with the department for 12 years from 2005 to 2017 but resigned and moved to the Town of Chadbourn where he served as the chief of police. After serving as police chief for less than a year, White resigned without explanation and returned to Winston-Salem.

After the arrest, Police Chief Catrina Thompson released the following statement:

"Good morning Winston-Salem, it is with deep regret that I must inform you that my trust, as well as the trust of the citizens of Winston-Salem and the City of Winston-Salem Government, has been violated by former Police Officer Harry L. White III. In my commitment of transparency to you, I want to inform you of the circumstances that led to Mr. White’s separation from the Winston-Salem Police Department and his pending criminal charge.

On February 20, 2020 at 1:38 am, Winston-Salem Police Department Officer Harry L. White was on duty and in uniform and responded to a “911 Hang Up” call for service at the Best Western Plus University Inn, located at 3050 University Parkway. Approximately four minutes after Officer White cleared from the call for service, the Winston-Salem Police Department was notified of an allegation of a sexual assault by an adult female committed by Mr. White during the call for service.

Supervisors from my Patrol Division immediately responded to the hotel and based on the allegations, transitioned the investigation to Detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit of the Winston-Salem Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Mr. White was placed on administrative leave and the criminal investigation has been on-going and active since February 20, 2020.

In consultation with the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office, our Detectives have criminally charged Mr. White with Sexual Battery. Earlier today Mr. White was taken into custody at the Forsyth County Detention Center without incident, and has separated from his employment with the City of Winston-Salem Police Department.

I must apologize to you for this behavior of one of my former personnel, but I will not tolerate this type of assault on one of our citizens by a Police Officer. Please rest assured that I hold our personnel to high standards, because I know that is what you expect of me and of your Police Officers.

Thank You for your continued support of your Winston-Salem Police Department and I, together with the leadership of the Police Department, apologize again to you for this breach of your trust."

Sadly, as TFTP reports on a regular basis, White’s case is anything but isolated.

In a sample of 158 police officers who’ve been charged with sexual assault, sexual battery, or unlawful sexual contact with somebody under their control, at least 26 have been acquitted or had charges dropped based on the consent defense, according to a Buzzfeed review of a Buffalo News database of more than 700 law enforcement officers accused of sexual misconduct.

                        These numbers are indeed startling.

“Cultural shifts happen, but what we need to see is a policy shift,” said Terra Burns, an advocate in Alaska who has worked to expand police sexual assault laws. “There’s a long entrenched history of institutionalized rape culture that has to change.”

Indeed, one need only browse through our archives to see the brutal reality that is police sexual misconduct. Arguably, the reason it is so pervasive is the fact that they can get away with it with little to no consequences.

The blue line gang can't let a good crisis go to waste and bypass opportunities to extort people and keep the revenue generating machine rolling. Another fine example of the thugs with costumes and badges out to "harass and collect" instead of "serve and protect."

NYPD is Raiding Sleeping Truckers Hauling Supplies During Outbreak, Impounding Cargo

Brooklyn, NY — As doctors, nurses, and other medical staff bravely battle the coronavirus on the front lines, there are other industries out there who are providing extremely vital services, but get overlooked. In a time in which grocery store shelves are being emptied at furious rates, truck drivers are tirelessly carrying tons of supplies from coast to coast to make sure society does not break down during this crisis. The supplies range from food to medical supplies that are invaluable during these times. One would think that these brave men and women behind the big wheels would be given leeway by law enforcement during this outbreak. However, as the following case illustrates, one would be wrong.

In many places, these truck drivers are actually greeted with kindness and thanked for their service. In Eufaula, Alabama, the police department announced they wanted to help the hungry truck drivers, AL.com reported.

“To that end, if you are a truck driver, and need to take time off the road in Eufaula, we will assist you in getting food,” the Eufaula Police Department posted on their official Facebook page. “With more and more restaurants limiting their dining room access, it is becoming harder for our truck driving friends to find places to eat. We will either go get something for you, or give you a ride to the nearest drive through (if you don’t mind riding in the back seat).”

“We are working non-stop, but it’s to make sure people get what they need,” says Ronda Aucoin, a truck driver from Kentucky.

Aucoin told KRNV that people have been kind of enough to bring her a warm meal when she and her daughter post-up at truck stops across the country.

“Nevadans have been especially nice since a few places are closed and not allowing us to stay the night when we’re done working,” says Aucoin.

But these cases are in Nevada and Alabama. In New York, the same brave men and women hauling crucial supplies during this crisis are being preyed on by police. Instead of bringing them warm food and salutations, officers from the NYPD’s 66th Precinct brought them extortion and theft.

Because many rest stops are closed across the country, Truckers have been forced to stop on the side of the road to sleep while hauling these supplies. Instead of realizing this, NYPD cops raided the sleeping truckers, issued them fines and impounded their vehicles — for sleeping on the side of the road.

Completely oblivious to the heinous nature of preying on people trying to keep the nation from falling into chaos, the officers who conducted the raid took to Twitter to brag about it.

“Our traffic safety officer was out on Bay pkwy towing these illegally parked trailers,” the NYPD 66th Precinct tweeted on Monday morning. “Please remember commercial vehicles cannot be parked on residential blocks.”

The tweet has since been deleted after they received a massive wave of backlash. The act of extorting truckers hauling much need supplies was so over the top that it even drew criticism from other cops.

The pro-police media outlet Blue Lives Matter decried the actions of NYPD’s 66 Precinct in an article on Tuesday. Blue Lives Matter described what happened in the 66th Precinct as “utterly disgusting.”

Also, retired NYPD Detective David Chianese captured the tweet and then took to his Advocacy for LEOs Blog to sarcastically flog the “brave” cops for raiding sleeping truckers.

"Parked along a deserted mixed-use street in the wee hours of the morning lay truckers. Over the road truckers who have been working nonstop the last few weeks in a desperate attempt to win shelf space in stores to prevent the American people from going without. Truckers sleeping in their rigs to catch a few moments of rest before pulling out to take loaded trailers to their next destination. Trailers full of water, diapers, baby formula, and the ever-elusive toilet paper. Trailers that will now go undelivered and further set back the fight to keep good flowing to stores so that the citizens of the United States have what they need.

As the sun slowly begins to crack just over the elevated subway station, a crack comes over the radio signaling the beginning of “Operation Cluster F**k”. An operation spearheaded and ran by no other than Long Island native, Deputy Inspector James King. Like the brave soldiers on Omaha Beach, members of the 66 Pct and the NYPD Traffic Enforcement Division charged the block and risked it all to wake sleeping out of state truckers. Luckily, this time, the waters would not turn red from the blood of slaughtered patriots risking their lives to save an enslaved nation halfway across the world but it would mean people not getting what they need, while sitting in quarantine during the largest global emergency since the deadly Spanish influenza pandemic of 1918."

Blue Lives Matter said they spoke with an NYPD official who said the cops in the 66th precinct are doing the bidding of community leaders who don’t want trucks parked in their neighborhoods.

“This is a situation where the precinct commander didn’t have the balls to tell the community leaders that they’re being ridiculous,” the NYPD official told Blue Lives Matter. “Why would he send officers to mess with these truckers who need to deliver supplies, effectively exposing all of the officers and the truckers to each other for no reason? It’s just inexcusable.”

And there you have it. To “keep you safe” during this crisis, at the behest of their rich community leaders, cops are extorting truck drivers and impounding the supplies they are hauling which are keeping the country from falling into utter chaos. Seems legit.

More blue line gang members who can't let a good crisis go to waste and feel the need to attempt to "harass and collect" rather than "serve and protect." In a time when LEOs could really serve and assist their communities, these armed and badged thugs in Leon Valley, Texas would rather attempt to extort and impose their ego driven will, not supported by any laws, on members of their community. Leon Valley has some of the most corrupt law enforcement and city officials in the entire country. Sadly, this type of behavior has come to be expected of these oath breaking jackboots in Leon Valley. Below is a comment made by a member of the Leon Valley community at the city council meeting on 3-25-2020

Yesterday, I visited the Dollar Tree located next to Hobby Lobby by the Leon Valley Post Office. While I was there, I began talking to the general manager, Christina, who was diligently trying to restock shelves as a result of the onslaught of customers visiting for groceries, cleaning products, and paper products. I casually asked her how things were going at her store and was unprepared for the response that followed.

She began to tell me that starting a couple of days previously, the Leon Valley Police officers had been by to visit at least 5 times. She was almost in tears, and explained how they were receiving abnormally large amounts of supplies, groceries, and commodities, and on top of the pressures by corporate management, customer demands, and staffing needs, she was now dealing with what she described as “harassment” and “intimidation” by numerous Leon Valley police officers at separate times. She even stated that they would send officers at multiple times during the same shift, threaten fines of up to $1000, and possibly even shut the business down completely or arrest her, as the store manager. She began shaking as she described how she wanted to do the “right thing” and just keep working and providing for the customers. Christina couldn’t fathom that it would be reasonable to limit an 8,000 square foot store to 10-people, though other Dollar Trees in San Antonio had no such restrictions, especially considering the huge demand of supplies and groceries by the community. She stated that the officers provided her with a written “pamphlet” containing the new emergency declaration, and that she forwarded this to her district supervisor and the Dollar Tree corporate legal department. The legal department contacted her back and told her to continue operations of the store like normal, and not worry about the threatening words by the officers because there was nothing the store was violating – because it is classified as a grocery store. She explained how they even accept food stamps/ The Lone Star Card, WIC, and so wondered that if Texas recognizes them as a grocery store, why did Leon Valley police not treat them as a grocery store? She wondered why the Leon Valley Police Department were so concerned about harassing her, though they were only trying the store was simply trying their hardest to keep up with the demand of the community.

Christina stated that one of the officers told her that they would be driving by the store about every two hours to make sure they were in compliance, and that they would also be sending in an undercover police officer to make sure there was never more than 10 people in the store at a given time.

I began to walk around the store – I’m not there often. I noticed tons of cleaning products, paper towels, buckets, canned foods/ soups, ice, ice cream, frozen vegetables, and many other types of frozen foods! Though they were low in stock, they even sell milk, bread, butter, eggs, and over the counter medicines! I thought how this should absolutely be considered essential household staples and commodities, and wondered why the management in the city and the police department were directing officers to be so aggressive and over zealous in their enforcement.

After I purchased my items, I decided to do some more analyzation of the ways that small grocery stores were treated in Leon Valley – and then compare them to the way that the large grocery store, HEB, was treated by the Leon Valley Police Department. I went to many different stores including the Dollar General across the street, Walgreens, the Family Dollar. I was able to talk to the manager and even the District Manager, Cheryl, of Family Dollar. They were so gracious that “someone cared about their business” and mentioned how nobody else had come by asking how things were going aside from Mr. Bradshaw. I explained to them that though I was running for Council (I gave them a card when I introduced myself), that I had absolutely no control over the decisions that the Council makes. I further explained that the council typically shows a disregard for the citizens and businesses of Leon Valley, however offered to forward the information during this meeting, tonight. I also told them that I would try to recommend and encourage Council members to go by and see first-hand how small grocery stores in Leon Valley are operating. All of the other 3 stores I visited expressed how these regulations seem a little ridiculous, and they all also commented at certain times they believed they were losing business because of them.

I then went to HEB, and was able to quickly find the evening manager (I believe his name was Rafael or Raul). I asked him if they had any rules regarding how many people could be in the store at a time. He stated it was a “shift manager” decision, and that they weren’t currently regulating how many people were in the store at a time. He stated that they “may have” regulated this on Saturday and Sunday, but it was because they ran out of shopping carts. When I was in the store, it was obviously very busy, with probably at least 350-400 people in the front part of the store. I didn’t understand or fathom why HEB was provided with special treatment that was not afforded to smaller grocery stores. I re-examined the emergency declaration: there was nothing that separated a “small” from “large” grocery store, no regulations regarding a specific number of people for a certain amount of square footage, and nothing that allowed for police officers to force a manager to make people line-up outside of their stores or face possible arrest.

So the point of this comment is to first encourage the members of the city council, who are responsible for representing the people and businesses of Leon Valley, to get out and meet these hard working managers and employees who are simply trying to work their butts off to meet the demand of our local community. All of the managers I talked to, including the one at HEB, stated that aside from me and Will Bradshaw, they had not met any other council members. Aside from the police officers, nobody from the city, including the business development “guy”, had been by to visit or inquire how things were going during these unforeseeable chaotic conditions.

At this point HEB cannot keep up with the demand of the community, so this forces us to be reliant upon small grocery stores to supplement the supply to the community. It seems unreasonable to try to over-govern small grocery stores, who are already struggling to keep up with the increase in business with limited amounts of staff, to have a person standing by the store regulating a “one in, one out” policy. In addition to the fact that San Antonio and Bexar County has no such regulations on small grocery stores (only that people generally remain an arms-length from other people), forcing people to stand next to each other with a staff member outside of a store does not limit the likelihood of exposure to an airborne illness---- it only prolongs and increases the likelihood of exposure by forcing them to remain at the store longer than they would like to be there--- and forcing them to be around other people waiting in line. If there’s no wind, this definitely would impact the likelihood of exposure to an airborne illness. I’d encourage the city manager, assistant city manager, and police department to consult with health experts and infectious disease experts about the health impact of forcing people to wait in a line outside of a grocery store. We should not be implementing health regulations that are not evidence based.

(Also... mathematically, if there was a certain number of people for certain square footage, HEB would be very limited on how many people they could have in their store. Also, Dollar Tree would be allotted 2X the amount of people as Family Dollar (4000 to 8000 square feet). If the limitations of 10 people per 8000 square feet, I doubt HEB will even be able to allow a single customer in – it seems they probably have about 60-80 employees at any given time. Please be sensical and rational as you review this ordinance/ emergency declaration. Don't over-govern the places that are providing essential commodities to the 11,500 people living here. )

Thank you very much for listening!

OLMOS PARK, TX Mar. 26, 2020) – Christopher Grisham and James Everard, two Texas veterans, have filed a civil rights lawsuit alleging false arrest, excessive force, and other civil rights violations, stemming from a March 27, 2018 incident in which both men alleged that they were violently arrested and Mr. Grisham was tazed.

The lawsuit alleges that the Chief of Police, Defendant Valenciano, made assurances that people who are lawfully open-carrying firearms, which is a constitutionally protected right, would not be arrested in Olmos Park. Despite this assurance, the lawsuit alleges, both men were arrested while open carrying the very next day despite there being no illegal activity. The arrest, which was captured on video, shows both plaintiffs standing on the street corner open-carrying, pursuant to their First and Second Amendment rights, and being detained and subsequently arrested. Mr. Grisham is tazed on the video.

“What happened to us is inexcusable,” said Mr. Grisham. “We were engaged in what is clearly lawful both under Texas law as well as under the United States Constitution. There was no basis for the arrest at all, let alone the violence used to arrest us.”

Mr. Everard added, “Our Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves. They risked life and limb to assure us all some very basic fundamental inalienable rights, and our sworn servants, such as the Olmos Park police department, should be the first to protect the law, not openly break it.”

The attorneys filing this lawsuit are Adam T. Funk from Potts Law Firm in Houston and Solomon Radner of Excolo Law based in Michigan. “The police need to be held accountable just like everyone else in society,” said Radner. “When we break the law, we are arrested and our lives can be flipped upside down. The police cannot be above the law.”

“We are not anti-police. “Adam Funk said. “We love the overwhelming majority of police officers who regularly put their lives on the line to protect us all. But here is a minority of police officers who allowed their egos and ignorance to govern their activities, and that cannot and should not be tolerated in a just society.”

No set amount of damages is being sought in the lawsuit, but the lawsuit seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages in amounts to be determined by a jury, in addition to attorneys fees. How much in damages are being sought in this lawsuit? “A very, very big number, “said Radner. “Enough to make the point that our Constitution must be safeguarded by the police, not shredded.”

Oklahoma Cop Charged with Downloading Child Pornography

This cop worked as a school resource officer and was arrested on charges of downloading child pornography

On March 26 Officer Eric Buehre of the Union City Police Department was arrested and taken into custody after he allegedly downloaded child pornography. Buehre was working as a school resource officer in Union City, Oklahoma.

Buehre is facing charges of possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and using a computer to violate Oklahoma statutes, News 9 reports.

The police department was contacted by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation about Buehre who was possibly downloading child pornography.

Authorities say Buehre was interviewed over several hours and was then arrested. Upon his arrest, Buehre was immediately terminated from the department.

Union City Police Department Chief Richard Stephens said the following:

"Child pornography is a terrible crime that affects every member of society. OSBI and the UCPD acted very quickly to eliminate any potential for further criminal actions in this situation.”

Buehre was transported to the Canadian County Jail where he is being held on a $55,000 bond. No other details have been released concerning Buehre's arrest.

Mississippi Cop Charged with Sexually Molesting Underage Female Family Member

A Mississippi cop is in deep trouble after being charged with molesting a girl from 2018 to 2020

On March 26, the Jones County Sheriff’s Department arrested Ellisville Police Department Officer David Luna, 44.

Luna is accused of molesting a female child in Ellisville, Mississippi. Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin said Luna was charged with two counts of molesting-touching a child for lustful purposes. According to WLBT News the charges stem from allegations that Luna began molesting a girl in mid-2018 and continued into January 2020.

Luna is accused of touching a young girl in her private areas at least three times between mid-2018 and January 2020, according to the affidavit.

The accusations were brought to the attention of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department on a referral from Child Protective Services on March 20 after a “family friend” got the victim to tell authorities what allegedly had happened to her.

The victim is a girl who is related to Luna and under the age of 16. The victim underwent a forensic interview with a child specialist and another interview with Sgt. Priscilla Pitts, according to the affidavit.

The district attorney's office reviewed the case and Luna was arrested. Luna is scheduled make his initial court appearance on March 27 in Jones County Justice Court.

Cops Indicted After Video Showed Them Torture Handcuffed Man, Cover It Up

Muncie, IN — This month, a federal grand jury returned a 12-count indictment against three very bad cops – officers Joseph Chase Winkle, 34, and Jeremy Gibson, 30 – and sergeant Joseph Krejsa, 50, of the Muncie Police Department for their roles in using excessive force and attempting to cover up the misconduct. Video from the officers’ body cameras was crucial in securing the charges.

The indictment charges Winkle with nine felonies, Gibson with one felony offense, and Krejsa with two felony offenses.

Winkle is charged with depriving at least four different victims of their rights to be free from excessive force that resulted in bodily injury and covering it up by writing false reports. According to the indictment, one of the victims suffered serious injuries from Winkle’s attack and another was knocked unconscious.

Body camera video from one of the arrests shows Winkle and another officer handcuff a compliant man before deploying a taser on him causing him to writhe in pain. As the handcuffed man squirms in agony, the officer viciously attacked him with fists, tasers, and knee strikes.

Gibson was involved in similar attacks and is accused of depriving victims of their right to be free from excessive force by stomping on them and delivering multiple knee strikes.

Krejsa sat back and watched his two subordinates beat their victims and helped them cover it up afterward.

As RTV6 reports, according to the indictment, on one occasion, Krejsa minimized the level of force used by Winkle during one arrest, and, on another occasion, falsely represented that a different Muncie Police Department sergeant cleared Winkle of his use of force when it was actually Krejsa who conducted that review.

In other words, they investigated themselves and found they did nothing wrong.

“No one is above the law,” U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana Josh Minkler said. “The civil rights violations alleged by the grand jury’s indictment are very serious. Unfortunately, misconduct by a few can shake the public’s confidence in the many men and women in law enforcement who proudly and professionally protect the public day in and day out. Today’s indictment should make clear the commitment of this Office and the Department of Justice to reassure the public and hold accountable those who violate the civil rights of others even though they wear a uniform.”

According to the justice department, the maximum penalties for the charged crimes are 10 years of imprisonment for each of the deprivation-of-rights offenses and 20 years of imprisonment for each of the false report offenses.

“Today’s indictment sends a strong message that those who violate their oath to protect and serve the public will be held accountable for their actions,” said Acting Special Agent in Charge Robert Middleton, FBI Indianapolis. “The FBI is committed to preserving public trust, especially in those who have sworn to uphold the law. To this end, the FBI will vigorously pursue civil rights violations.”

One of the victims mentioned in the indictment was Jessie Vernon who has since filed a lawsuit against the department. According to the federal lawsuit, Officer Winkle “pulled Jessie up by his handcuffs, which caused Jessie to stand up” and Officer Winkle “proceeded to throw Jessie to the ground, beat him and repeatedly tased him.”

Vernon suffered serious injuries, including a broken collar bone, and has required multiple surgeries. All of the charges against Vernon were dropped.

Officers Winkle and Gibson were allowed to beat multiple victims and never faced accountability for his behavior. Chase Winkle’s father Joe Winkle was also the police chief. Nothing to see here.

WATCH: Cops Detain and Harass Man for Allegedly Withdrawing $40,000 from His Bank

Crawfordsville, IL — Police officers in Crawfordsville appear to have attempted to get a man to incriminate himself for entirely legal actions he took at his local banking institution. To be clear, we do not know the identity of the Youtube user who goes by thechannel name of SSTX9. We found the channel linked to SugarShaneTX9 on Instagram but the user has a private channel. Also, we’ve learned “Shane” may also be disabled. In a recent forum, SSTX9 posted he lives in Indiana, is disabled, and has to make frequent visits to several doctors monthly. It is unclear if he is disabled because he is a veteran, or otherwise, but at any rate, we found his most recent police contact disturbing to say the least.

It may come as a surprise to our readers but your bank tellers are required to report any suspicious financial activity at their bank to the authorities, especially amounts involving more than $10,000. Yes, that’s right America. The government works closely with your bank to make sure the money you deposit into their accounts stays right there. As TFTP has reported on numerous occasions, if you attempt to withdraw your money in the form of cold hard cash, and it’s a significant amount, and your bank thinks you’re up to no good (criminal activity), they are required to notify the police. It is called a Suspicious Activity Report.

Shane may have learned the hard way which bank to trust when Crawfordsville, Indiana police pulled him over and began to question him about his bank account. In the small town of Crawfordsville (population 16,000) a motorist was stopped by armed men with guns and badges and asked to explain recent transition activity he made in his bank account. There are neighborhoods larger than the town of Crawfordsville so the small town cop harassment of a motorist is making big news as it serves to illustrate the reaches of the powerful police state in which we all live.

As the cell phone footage begins, a Crawfordsville cop asks Shane about his recent bank activity whereby he allegedly “was down at the bank and you tried to switch 40,000 dollars worth of cash”. The unidentified police officer was not dealing with a rookie. Shane responded by asking a few questions of his own such as, “did I do something wrong?”

“That’s what I was asking. I’m trying to have a conversation with you,” the officer replied.

At this point it’s apparent that someone “down at the bank” reported Shane to the cops. We at TFTP really don’t care if Shane is an upstanding citizen or a criminal. We do, however, concern ourselves with police department overreach and how it affects our constitutional rights to comport ourselves as free individuals, free from being asked to explain any and all bank transactions to men with guns. Shane states again:

"I’m just curious if I’ve done something illegal because I need to know, I have business to take care of."

Shane remained quiet and did not respond to the presence or the imposition of the officers with guns standing at his car window. He did ask the officer, “Is there anything I can help you with?”

                                              “Yes,” the officer responded.

“What might that be,” responded Shane.

“I’ll ask it again if you want…no I’m just asking you…my understanding is you were trying to switch over 40,000 dollars at a local bank,” the officer stated apparently wanting Shane to detail his personal financial business with an armed officer of the state.

Not getting any voluntary, private, financial information from Shane, the officer then attempted to imply Shane must be crazy to be driving around with $40,000 dollars in his possession, something Shane did not admit to be doing.

By all accounts it seemed to be an attempt to ascertain whether or not the officer could detain Shane under the suspicion that he may be unwell. We at TFTP have seen this too. When some citizens do not comply with officer commands they will have the good citizen committed to a psychiatric facility, forced medicines, or even worse, all in an attempt to have their way over the public. In this case we suspect if Shane had admitted to having $40,000 dollars in cash in his possession the officer would have confiscated the money and held it until Shane could prove beyond a reasonable doubt he earned the money legally.

We have reported on cash confiscation schemes by police on numerous occasions. Sometimes the citizens get their money back and other times they don’t. It’s called highway robbery by police accountability activists and we would like to say it is an isolated phenomena. But it is not. In fact the Supreme Court of the United States weighed in on the practice of Civil Asset Forfeiture on the side of motorists saying police do not have the right to take from someone an excess of money or assets which go far beyond the fines for the criminal activity with which they have been charged. But they still do.

Just this passed week, CNN encouraged citizens not to rush to their banks to withdraw their money because they fear the Coronavirus pandemic. It’s unclear if that was the reason why Shane was shuffling money around at his bank but his story highlights just exactly what might happen to citizens who do wish to withdraw their money from their bank account for safekeeping at home. The cops might just pull you over, attempt to interrogate you, or later visit your home to check on your so-called well being when in fact it’s your money they may be after.

In our opinion, Shane handled the police interaction in a courteous fashion, not incriminating himself, or violating any laws in the process. We are also impressed by the fact he is confident enough to exercise his First Amendment rights to drive around town with a “F**k Police” sticker in his car, something which did not escape the officer’s notice.

It’s really none of his business why Shane displays the sticker but he asked why nonetheless. Shane simply responded with the stated fact he has been assaulted by cops in the past and is currently suing them in court, both things we would like to know more about. Shane, if you’re out there reading this, please contact us at contact@thefreethoughtproject.com and tell us more if you’d like.

Hey guy you realize that the overwhelming vast majority of the time cops kill people on duty it’s because it was THE LAST OPTION to prevent a citizen or the cop from getting killed, right?

Or are you too ******* stupid to understand that if someone is pointing a gun at a citizen or a cop that deadly force is the only option left for the responding officer(s)?

327 million people in the United States. Simple math explains why a few hundred people are shot by police every year. Some people unequivocally put themselves in a position to be killed by cops.

Deal with it and stop crying about it.

Maybe do a little research before spewing your made up numbers. Copsuckers and bootlickers blindly try to defend the criminals with costumes and badges with little or no knowledge of the actual facts and statistics. So many sheeple ready to just obey and look the other way when the blue line gang is committing crimes and policing with their egos and opinions instead of the law they swore and oath to uphold. Keep telling yourself fairy tales to help you sleep at night.

Another name to add to the list of people the domestic terrorist thin blue line gang has needlessly murdered.

Innocent EMT, Working the Front Line, Killed in Her Bed by Cops Raiding the Wrong Home

Louisville, KY — According to his attorney, Kenneth Walker woke up in the middle of the night to armed intruders kicking in his door. He then grabbed his legally owned firearm to defend himself. A hail of gunfire subsequently ensued, all but one of the bullets coming from police weapons, and Walker’s girlfriend 26-year-old Breonna Taylor, a certified EMT working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic, was killed in her bed.

Earlier this month, police fired 22 bullets into the couple’s home, many of them shot from outside. According to the attorney representing the family, Sam Aguiar, police were actually looking for someone else and other officers had picked the suspect up at his home in a separate raid shortly before the shooting.

After the raid, Walker was arrested for defending himself in his own home against armed invaders because he shot one of the armed invaders in the leg. Showing the unnecessary nature of the entire deadly debacle is the fact that Walker was released from jail after his arrest because he is not a threat.

Naturally, this infuriated the police union.

“Not only is he a threat to the men and women of law enforcement, but he also poses a significant danger to the community we protect!” River City FOP president Ryan Nichols wrote in a Facebook Post Friday. “Home incarceration was not designed for the most violent offenders!” “I call on the public to condemn the actions of Judge Olu Stevens.”

But according to his family and his attorney, Walker is not a violent offender and was an innocent man raided by cops who murdered the love of his life.

According to WDRB, defense attorney Rob Eggert said police burst in Taylor’s home without announcing their presence and fired at least 22 times, with bullets going into neighboring apartments, and “it was incredible that Mrs. Taylor was the only one killed.”

Had Breonna Taylor been killed by anyone except police, the person or persons responsible for her death would have been charged with a homicide,” Eggert said in a court document, also alleging Walker is a “victim of police misconduct.”

Taylor and Walker’s family echoed the attorney’s sentiment, claiming police were simply in the wrong home, looking for a different person.

“These are two good kids,” said Bianca Austin, Taylor’s aunt. “This is incompetent police work. My niece lost her life over this.”

“Something went terribly wrong,” Aguiar said. “This was clearly a botched execution of a warrant.”

The police union does not agree and claim that the family’s version of events simply doesn’t matter and is “irrelevant.” They do not see Walker as a man defending his home from intruders who kicked in the door in the middle of the night. They see him as a cop killer who needs to be removed from society.

Police also claim that they did everything by the book when they invaded the home and killed an innocent woman as they looked for non-existent drugs and the wrong person.

                                                          As WDRB reports:

"Eggert claims police did not announce themselves as they exploded through the door of the apartment around 1 a.m., while the couple was sleeping.

Eggert acknowledges that Walker fired a shot, hitting Sgt. Mattingly in the leg, but claims Walker did not know he was shooting at police, according to a motion filed in court.

Police then returned fire, killing Taylor, Eggert wrote.

There were no drugs found in the home, Eggert said.

And Walker was not the target of the search warrant and if he had known police were outside, he would have let them in, Eggert said in the motion."

Witnesses to the shooting corroborate this narrative, and told local media that police never announced themselves before barging in to the home.

“All she heard was a ram (breaking through the door) and gunfire,” the unidentified neighbor said.

What’s more, Walker had no criminal past. Taylor’s aunt said Walker had just accepted a job to work at UPS.

“These two were not drug dealers,” she said. “It just don’t make sense to us at all.”

Now, it is up to Walker to seek justice for himself and his recently murdered girlfriend.

Walker “wishes to exonerate himself. His girlfriend was killed in a hail of police bullets while naked and he himself simply acted to try to protect himself,” Eggert said.

Here's the blue zero heroes' preliminary narrative of the events that unfolded. Either the man who was shot and had his girlfriend murdered and the witnesses have it all wrong or the pigs are lying to protect each other like usual. And of course there is conveniently no body worn camera footage of the jackboots raiding the wrong place. They'll end up investigating themselves and, as is the norm, find that policies and procedures were all properly followed and there was no wrongdoing on their part, despite serving a search warrant at the wrong place and killing a completely innocent woman.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A federal grand jury has charged two former Columbus vice officers with conspiring to violate others’ civil rights and conspiring to commit wire fraud.

Steven G. Rosser, 43, of Delaware, and Whitney R. Lancaster, 57, of Columbus, were each arrested without incident this morning and appeared in federal court this afternoon. The indictment was returned on March 26 and unsealed at a 12:15pm initial appearance today.

Rosser was employed with the Columbus Division of Police for 19 years and assigned as a detective in CPD’s vice unit from April 2013 until October 2018.

Lancaster was employed with the Columbus Division of Police for 31 years. He was assigned as a detective in the vice unit from February 2016 until November 2018.

“The indictment alleges that these two former law enforcement officers abused their badges and deprived individuals of their Constitutional rights,” said U.S. Attorney David M. DeVillers. “We will root out any alleged bad actors acting under color of law and are grateful to the vast majority of officers who do the honorable work of protecting us and the Constitution.”

                                                                        Nick’s Cabaret

According to the indictment, in March 2015, Rosser was involved in a physical fight with an individual at Nick’s Cabaret, a gentleman’s club on East Dublin Granville Road. Rosser allegedly represented that he was acting in the course and scope of his employment as a police officer during the fight and in the days that followed.

The indictment alleges that Rosser conspired with others to deprive the other participant in that fight of his civil rights by having him seized and searched without probable cause, in violation of the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Based, in part, on a report that Rosser wrote regarding the fight, officers arrested that individual in April 2015, and he was detained at the Franklin County jail for approximately five days before the charges against him were ultimately dismissed.

                                                                        The Dollhouse

The indictment also alleges that in April 2018, Rosser, Lancaster, and others conspired to deprive one of the owners of the Dollhouse, a gentleman’s club on Karl Court, of his civil rights by seizing and searching him and his vehicle without probable cause, again in violation of the Fourth Amendment.

                                                                        Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark Resort

Finally, the indictment alleges that both defendants conspired to commit wire fraud by routinely reporting false and fraudulent special duty hours.

Specifically, in January 2018, the Fort Rapids hotel, restaurant and indoor water-park complex on Corporate Drive in Columbus, suffered a fire-sprinkler break that led to extensive flooding. As a result, the Columbus Division of Fire ordered a 24-hour per day “fire watch” by qualified personnel to monitor the site for further damage and safety issues.

It is alleged that Rosser and Lancaster routinely reported to the Fort Rapids ownership group that they were working special duty during dates and times that they also reported they were on duty working their regular shifts as CPD officers. The two officers allegedly double-billed Fort Rapids and the Columbus Division of Police on 29 days between January and May 2018.

“The FBI and the Southern Ohio Public Corruption Task Force are committed to rooting out public corruption and working to ensure that those who abuse their law enforcement privileges are held accountable,” stated FBI Cincinnati Special Agent in Charge Chris Hoffman. “We will continue to work with our partners to protect the citizens of this community and uphold their Constitutional rights.”

“The Columbus Division of Police continues to advocate for police accountability and strongly supports today's arrests on corruption charges against these former officers by the FBI and the Public Corruption Task Force,” said Columbus Police Chief Thomas Quinlan. “I commend the dedication and effectiveness of the partnerships leading to today's arrests.”

“A cop’s authority is derived from citizens who trust them to keep the peace,” Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said. “When one betrays that trust, we need to hold them accountable to defend the integrity of the good men and women who keep us safe.”

Conspiracy to violate a person’s civil rights is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Conspiracy to commit wire fraud carries a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
