Illinois Police Officer Charged with Possessing Child Pornography

Another cop was allegedly caught with child pornography, including a underage girl performing sex acts.

Illinois Police Officer Mark A. Paglini was charged on May 28 with 10 counts of possessing child pornography. Paglini is a police officer with The Tower Lakes Police Department in Tower Lakes, IL.

On May 27 law enforcement executed a search warrant at Paglini's residence in Salem, Wisconsin, CBS News reports.

Police say that during the search DVDs, thumb drives, and a Toshiba Satellite Laptop Computer were seized. Forensic examiners found what appeared to be child pornography on the hard drive of the laptop, with photos of a female likely under the age of 13, police say.

Court documents say, examiners found sexually explicit photos of the underage female as well as photos of her performing sexual acts. Police say that some of the images shared were possible hidden camera images.

Paglini is accused of knowingly possessing pictures of a child engaging in sexually explicit conduct and is charged with Class D felonies, which could result in a fine up to $100,000 and up to 25 years in prison along with fines of $500 per photo he possessed.

Paglini is also accused of sharing images of a 10- to 11-year-old female that he knew, taken between 2005-06, in an online forum. One day after the search warrant was executed Paglini was arrested and booked in the Kenosha County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Cop Arrested After His Child Filmed Him Strangling Mom Until She Passed Out

Portage, IN — If you have never Googled the phrase “40% police” then you may not know that multiple studies have shown that police officer families experience a rate of domestic violence far greater than the average family. The phenomenon of wife beating cops has been a stain on the thin blue line for decades, backed up by countless news stories, many of which are horrifying in nature. The following case is a telling reminder that 40 percent of police officer families reportedly experience domestic violence.

Crestwood police officer Dino Anthony Pavoni, 38, was arrested this month for choking his wife until she lost consciousness in front of their children at a northwest Indiana campground. One of his children filmed the incident which served as evidence in the wife-beating cop’s arrest.

Pavoni has been charged with one felony count of strangulation, three felony counts of domestic battery and one misdemeanor count of interference with the reporting of a crime, according to an arrest report from police in Portage, Indiana.

As the Chicago Sun Times reports:

"Officers were called for reports of a disturbance at 3:08 a.m. May 17 at the Lakeshore Camp Resort, 5300 Old Porter Road, according to police records. Investigators learned Pavoni got upset and began yelling at his wife, 39, after she woke him up to ask for help closing the awning of the trailer they were staying in.

During an ensuing struggle, Pavoni allegedly hit one of his children with a door before hitting his wife, knocking her to the ground inside the trailer and choking her until she lost consciousness, according to police. The three children witnessed the attack and one of them recorded videos of it while another called police, the report says.

During an interview with a Portage officer, Pavoni denied hitting his wife and claimed she attacked him before having a seizure and falling to the ground, according to the report."

After lying to the cops about his wife having a seizure, his child pulled out the video and showed it to cops. He was then arrested on the scene.

His daughter also told officers that Pavoni shoved her through a doorway where he slammed the door on her arm over and over.

And this man was given a badge and a gun and trusted by the public to “protect them.”

What this case illustrates, frequent readers of the Free Thought Project already know, and it’s that police officers in the United States have an exceedingly higher rate of domestic violence than any other occupation. The average rate of domestic violence among most families in America is around 10%. As mentioned above, the National Center for Women and Policing points out, two studies have found that at least 40% of police officer families experience domestic violence. That is a four-fold increase.

A simple Google search will illustrate how police officers are arrested for domestic violence on a near-weekly basis. It is also estimated that the incident rate for domestic violence is likely far higher than reported as many women stay silent out of fear of retaliation and the fact that their abuser’s brothers in blue will cover for them.

Sadly, it is estimated that many of the abused women never come forward as they know the likely result — which is getting shamed by the department for reporting it and potentially more abuse.

Another domestic terrorist blue line gang member gets a paid vacation after he was videoed choking a teenager. It's out of control jackboots like this who are creating the further divide between themselves and the people whose rights they took an oath to protect. This pig will enjoy his paid vacation and will most likely face little or no discipline for his actions per the normal blue line privilege. Once again the corrupt gang will investigate themselves with no oversight, nor will they have to disclose what, if any, actions are taken.

As Minneapolis Burns, Video Surfaces of Cop Choking Innocent Teen, Daring Him to Resist

Jackson, MS — The largest story in the world this week is not COVID-19, nor what President Donald Trump tweeted, it is the death of George Floyd — murdered by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin as three of his fellow cops stood by and watched. The city is quite literally burning as anger spilled out into the streets in response to the murder and the murderers not being immediately charged. While Americans continue to give their much deserved attention to Floyd’s case, other disturbing videos continue to surface.

A Jackson Police Department officer has been placed on administrative leave this week following the release of a video in which he appears to be choking a small shirtless teen.

According to the Clarion Ledger, JPD Chief James Davis said the department has reviewed the video and is piecing together the entire confrontation. He said the department’s internal affairs division is investigating the incident.

“They were in a struggle, a scuffle,” Davis said.

This alleged “scuffle” appears only to be the young man attempting to pull the cop’s massive hands from his neck.

As the video starts out, the massive cop is seen grabbing the teen by the throat as the cop repeats to the teen that “I asked you to leave!”

Onlookers attempt to tell the officer that this area is “public property,” but this did not stop the officer from continuing to tighten his grip around the teens throat.

The young man, half the officer’s size, tries to pull the hands from his throat, repeating those all too familiar words, “I can’t breathe.”

The situation gets to a point which provokes a woman to attempt to physically remove the cop’s hands from the teens throat. But she was unsuccessful as the officer yells, “get off me!”

“I asked you to leave. What did I tell you do?” the officer yells into the teen’s face.

The officer repeatedly yells into the young man’s face, daring him to resist, saying, “Make me. Make me. I said make me.”

“He’s not breathing. He’s not breathing,” the woman says as she begs the officer not to kill the shirtless young man.

“Ma’am. You see my hands? I’m not even choking him,” the officer replies as he presses the man against a car.

But bystanders and the young man disagreed.

Showing the entire unnecessary nature of the interaction and subsequent choking, is the fact that the teen was never charged with a crime. After being choked out and dared to resist in order for the cop to dole out some street justice, the massive cop let the teen go.

“Go on about your business,” the cop says as he appears to shove the teen away from him.

Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba released a statement concerning the video:

“After being made aware of a video that has surfaced of a Jackson police officer in a confrontation with an individual, the officer involved has been placed under administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.

“This administration is clear that we are trying to build an approach to public safety that is about trust, collaboration, and integrity. Anything actions that do not reflect those principles have no place in the City of Jackson.”

Clearly, this is not how you build nor keep the trust of the community.

As TFTP reported on Thursday, George Floyd’s death came after 400 others who have been killed by police in the first five months of 2020, alone. When police think they can act like this, grabbing teenagers by the throat until they nearly pass out or worse, something needs to change. It is videos like this one that continue to push the wedge further between the police and the policed. Until they stop, we can expect to see Minneapolis-like incidents continue to pop up across the country.

I really hope this will spur the elimination of all police unions, retirements and spur use of force laws in conjunction with a dramatic reduction of cops, sheriffs and troopers.

The whole world now knows what we've been espousing for months or years here. That police are out of control, that LE is antiquated, that the industry of policing is nothing more than a political divide driven by money and that officers themselves are indisputably made up of people who are mentally unfit for the job, insecure and obnoxious individuals who are not stable, not of sound mind, not of the mental capacity to make judgement calls regarding liberty of others.

Disarm the police, they have proven how worthless they are. Change must come from this.

I don't agree with a lot of what Jimmy Dore has to say, but I'm open to alternate views and others' ideas. Jimmy is spot on with this video, though. Protests due to police violence result in more needless police violence.

WATCH: Cop Grabs Man's Phone and Tosses it; Man Responds by Knocking Cop Out

The last thing the California cop expected was to be knocked out cold for violating the man's Constitutional rights.
Like we've seen so many times before over the years, a cop who did not want to be recorded grabbed a man's phone and tossed it, a clear violation of the man's Constitutional right to record but one that rarely goes enforced.

However, this time, the man responded by knocking the cop out before running away.

The San Jose police officer ended up getting dragged away by fellow officers. It does not appear as if they arrested the man who knocked the cop out but there is no doubt cops are going to be on the lookout for him.

The incident took place Friday during a protest demanding justice for George Floyd who was killed by Minneapolis police earlier this week. A video shows a man with his phone walking in front of police officers with his camera as if recording.

The man who was wearing a facial mask and carrying a skateboard moved from one cop to the other when the second cop grabbed his phone and tossed it aside. The man responded by slapping him down.

Unfortunately, the moment the man's hand made contact with the cop's face did not get recorded because the person recording had panned the phone towards where the phone had been tossed. But it shows the cop going down as the man runs away. Another video shows the cops tending to him while he remains knocked out before they drag him away to safety.

6 Atlanta officers charged after students pulled from car

ATLANTA -- Six Atlanta police officers were charged Tuesday after dramatic video showed authorities pulling two young people from a car and shooting them with stun guns while they were stuck in traffic caused by protests over George Floyd’s death.

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced the charges during a news conference.

“I feel a little safer now that these monsters are off of the street and no longer able to terrorize anyone else,” said 22-year-old Messiah Young, who was dragged from the vehicle along with his girlfriend, 20-year-old Taniyah Pilgrim.

The Saturday night incident first gained attention from video online and on local news. Throughout, the couple can be heard screaming and asking officers what is happening.

Two of the officers were fired Sunday after Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and police Chief Erika Shields determined they had used excessive force. The other four have been placed on administrative leave, police spokesman Sgt. John Chafee said in an email Tuesday.

Pilgrim was released without charges. Howard said Young was charged with attempting to elude the officers, and the mayor has said she's ordering his charges dropped.

Body camera video from seven officers shows police taking another young man into custody in a downtown street. The man, whom Howard identified as Chancellor Meyers, tells officers he didn’t do anything.

Sitting in the driver’s seat of a car stopped in the street, Young holds up his phone, shooting video as an officer approaches and pulls the driver’s door open. Young pulls the door shut and says repeatedly, “I’m not dying today.” He urges the officers to release Meyers and let him get in the car as the dark sedan advances a bit.

The car gets stuck in traffic and officers run up to both sides of it, shouting orders. An officer uses a Taser on Pilgrim as she’s trying to get out of the car and then officers pull her out.

Another officer yells at Young to open the window. An officer repeatedly hits the driver’s side window with a baton, and another officer finally manages to break it.

As the glass shatters, an officer uses a Taser on Young and officers pull him from the car as officers shout, “Get your hand out of your pockets,” and, “He got a gun. He got a gun. He got a gun.” Once he’s out of the car and on the ground, officers zip tie Young’s hands behind his back and lead him away.

Howard said no gun was found.

Young suffered a fractured arm and a gash requiring 24 stitches as he was pulled from the car, Howard said. Young told Howard's investigators that an officer who escorted him away after his arrest punched him in the back more than 10 times as they walked.

The two officers who were fired Sunday — Investigator Ivory Streeter and Investigator Mark Gardner — were charged with four others.

Streeter is charged with aggravated assault for using a Taser against Young and is also charged with pointing a gun at him, arrest warrants say.

Gardner is charged with aggravated assault for using a Taser against Pilgrim, a warrant says.

Lonnie Hood is charged with aggravated assault against both Young and Pilgrim for using a Taser against both of them, an arrest warrant says. He is also charged with simple battery for violently pulling Pilgrim from the car and throwing her down on to the street, a warrant says.

Willie Sauls is charged with aggravated assault for pointing a Taser at Pilgrim, a warrant says. He's also charged with criminal damage for repeatedly hitting and damaging the driver's side window of the car, a warrant says.

Armon Jones is charged with aggravated battery for hurting Young's left arm when he dragged him from the car and slammed him onto the street, a warrant says. He's also charged with pointing a gun at Young.

Roland Claud is charged with criminal damage for breaking the car's windows, a warrant says.

Howard says he has asked a judge to set a signature bond of $10,000, which means they wouldn't have to pay anything unless they fail to show up for court dates. The main reasons for that are to limit the number of people in the Fulton County jail during the coronavirus pandemic and because they are police officers, Howard said.

The officers have been asked to turn themselves in by Friday, he said.

Man is Convicted for Recording Cops but his Video leads to Cops getting Charged

Kansas man who recorded video of police abuse that led to charges against cops is appealing conviction from that day.

It was just over a year ago that Roderick Reed was driving down the street in Kansas City when he spotted a pair of cops abusing a transgender woman on a sidewalk.

Reed pulled off to the side of the road and began recording with his phone, not saying a word as the Kansas City cops planted their knees on the victim, twisting her arms back as she yelled out in pain, bashing her face into the sidewalk.

"Please help me," Breona Hill pleads as an elderly white man walks up to the cops, exchanging a few words that cannot be heard before they send him away.

One of the cops has Hill's arms lifted high behind her back while the other cop has his foot planted on her legs as she continues to moan in pain. More than two minutes go by in the video before the officers notice Reed recording.

"You're blocking traffic," a cop tells him, even though there was hardly any traffic.

"I'm recording it," Reed responds. "All of it."

The cop accuses him of "interfering" even though Reed was maybe 30 feet from him, sitting in his car.

                            "I ain't interfering, I'm recording," Reed responds.

"Yeah, so am I," the cop responds, referring to his body camera, a video that has yet to be released. "Move along!"

Reed continues to record despite them threatening to seize his phone as evidence. He ended up convicted for "failure to obey a lawful order" but he is appealing.

His video, meanwhile, led to the indictment last month of Kansas City police officers Matthew G. Brummett, 37, and Charles Prichard, 47, on a charge of fourth-degree assault which is a misdemeanor.

The police union is outraged, calling it a "politically motivated prosecution," claiming the officers were trying to keep Hill from bashing her own face into the sidewalk, pointing out the fact that the department had already investigated itself and found no wrongdoing.

Much to his credit, Reed has no regrets about recording the attack on Hill, who unfortunately was shot to death in October 2019 in an unrelated incident. He is confident he will prevail in his appeal.

“That they will see and understand the reason why I didn’t obey their orders: because a crime was being committed,” Reed said. “I would do it again and again and again if something was occurring in front of me. I don’t feel bad. Not at all.”

The incident prompted a city council member to propose an ordinance that would prohibit cops from ordering people who are recording them away unless they are physically interfering.

Grand Rapids, MI — An infuriating video has been shared with the Free Thought Project showing just how sadistic and sick some of the police officers working the protests are. A non-violent, unarmed, and arguably innocent man was practicing his right to free speech when he was pepper sprayed in the face and then shot with a tear gas grenade.

The Grand Rapids police department is now claiming to have opened an “investigation” into the utterly horrifying acts of their officers. We won’t hold our breath.

As the video shows, the man simply walked toward the officers and was doing nothing but talking to them. With absolutely no reason to do so, one officer douses the man’s face with pepper spray causing him to turn around.

As he tries to catch his breath from being sprayed, another officer takes aim with his tear gas grenade launcher and shoots him in the face with it. You cannot make this stuff up. These officers need to be arrested and jailed now before they hurt anyone else.

“It’s despicable, this young man is clearly walking towards the officers…lets even give them the benefit of the doubt,” Ven Johnson, a police brutality attorney, said. “We don’t have any video, of what happened before that. Who knows what they’ve been told. Who knows what happened before. But he’s walking toward the officer, in a relatively non threatening manner…clearly has nothing in his hands except maybe a cigarette.”

“It looks like he got shot with a projectile,” Johnson said. “Whether it hit him or not I don’t know…that was shot at his person. That is horrible, tragic. We want to know why things are escalating? This is a perfect example where the police could have stayed back, stayed in line, said nothing, which they’re trained to do. They’re trained to de-escalate. Not escalate.”

“I don’t know what would of happened last night if the police hadn’t provoked violence, but I do know that the police provoked and caused violence in downtown Kalamazoo last night,” Kalamazoo resident Matt Lechel wrote. “What they did was unnecessary and harmful and almost seems as if they wanted to start a fight.”

These people are trying to protest police brutality and the police react with more brutality.

Marching should be out here..its bringing toonmuch violence and mayhem. If its BLM....then an argument could be made it has terrorist possibilities...although most are ok. Is it BLM..or do you have to be a better person and then be a somebody.

Entire Buffalo Police Dept ERT Resigns in Tantrum Over Suspension of 2 Cops Who Attacked Elderly Man

Buffalo, NY — As TFTP reported earlier today, a case out of Buffalo, New York is getting a lot of attention due to the unnecessary and disturbing nature of how it unfolded. An elderly man was shoved down and two cops were suspended as a result. Now, the entire Buffalo Police Department Emergency Response Team has resigned in support of those two cops.

In total, 57 officers threw a collective temper tantrum, for their right to attack innocent elderly men with impunity.

WIVB reporter, Dave Greber announced the move just moments ago.

"#BREAKING: I’m told the entire @BPDAlerts Emergency Response Team has resigned from the team, a total of 57 officers, as a show of support for the officers who are suspended without pay after shoving Martin Gugino, 75. They are still employed, but no longer on ERT. @news4buffalo"

Mayor Byron Brown acknowledged the mass resignation and issued the following statement:

“The City of Buffalo is aware of developments related to the work assignments of certain members of the Buffalo police force. At this time, we can confirm that contingency plans are in place to maintain police services and ensure public safety within our community. The Buffalo police continue to actively work with the New York State Police and other cooperating agencies.”

As TFTP reported earlier, an innocent elderly man was on the sidewalk attempting to return one of the officer’s helmets he had found. The officers then walked up to him and shoved him to the ground. The impact of the elderly man’s head was so hard that he immediately began bleeding from the ears and was knocked unconscious.

After the cops shoved him, they looked down, noticed he was bleeding from the ears and kept walking — leaving the elderly man lying there on the pavement, bleeding.

It appears the officer who shoved the elderly man was named A, Torgalski as his name tag was clearly visible in the video at the 14 second mark. As Torgalski notices he’s on camera, he quickly covers his face and lowers his head. However, it was too late — he’d been caught.

Though the police department hasn’t officially identified him, a Change.org petition demanding that Buffalo police fire Torgalski now has thousands of signatures. Government salaries.com says, “Aaron Torgalski M in 2018 was employed in City Of Buffalo and had annual salary of $81,419.” With overtime, this cops likely makes well over $100,000 to shove elderly men to the ground causing them grave harm.

After the assault, according to WBFO, two medics came forward and treated him. They helped put him in an ambulance and he was taken away. The man is in serious, but stable condition at ECMC as of Thursday night, reportedly with a concussion and lacerations. Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said based on the information he was given, the man is expected to recover.

After the incident made it to the news, Buffalo police put out a ridiculous statement claim the elderly man tripped.

A Buffalo Police spokesman issued a statement at 8:50 p.m. Thursday saying “a 5th person was arrested during a skirmish with other protestors and also charged with disorderly conduct. During that skirmish involving protestors, one person was injured when he tripped & fell.

However, after the video was posted online, exactly 23 minutes later by WBFO, department officials changed their tone and said a full Internal Affairs investigation was underway and that Police Commissioner Byron Lockwood had ordered the immediate suspension of the two officers involved, without pay.

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown issued the following statement at 11:05 p.m., saying he was “deeply disturbed by the video”:

"Tonight, after a physical altercation between two separate groups of protesters participating in an illegal demonstration beyond the curfew, two Buffalo Police officers knocked down a 75-year-old man. The victim is in stable but serious condition at ECMC. I was deeply disturbed by the video, as was Buffalo Police Commissioner Byron Lockwood. He directed an immediate investigation into the matter, and the two officers have been suspended without pay. After days of peaceful protests and several meetings between myself, Police leadership and members of the community, tonight’s event is disheartening. I hope to continue to build on the progress we have achieved as we work together to address racial injustice and inequity in the City of Buffalo. My thoughts are with the victim tonight.”

New York Civil Liberties Union, in a statement, said “the casual cruelty demonstrated by Buffalo police officers tonight is gut-wrenching and unacceptable.” Buffalo Chapter Director John Curr added, “We are in solidarity with Buffalo’s protesters and demand that demonstrators can protest without the threat of police brutality on the streets tomorrow.”

“Simply put, the officers must be held responsible for their actions, not just fired,” said Poloncarz, in a tweet.

“The video was deeply disturbing and the actions taken were wrong. We need a prompt investigation and full accountability,” said U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer (D), in a statement.

While these criticisms from politicians are certainly warranted, where were their comments when Leslie Furcron, an innocent grandmother, was shot in the head with a rubber bullet? Or when Austin Police shot a child in the head with a rubber bullet? What about when the same department shot an innocent student in the head with a projectile and then opened fire on the people helping him? Or, what about the other elderly man in Salt Lake City who was shoved to the ground by cops for standing on a sidewalk? That cop is still on the job.

Your virtue signalling is a little late.

The first cop is calm and well spoken, but is overly persistent.
The second cop that shows up is a pignorant liar.
The third cop that shows up sends the first two packing.

On Saturday, June 6, at the direction of the Fairfax County Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, Police Officer First Class (PFC) Tyler Timberlake, was charged with three counts of misdemeanor assault and battery. Timberlake has been an officer for eight years and assigned to the Mount Vernon District Station.

He faces up to 36 months in prison if convicted.

Additionally, all officers involved involved in the incident have been 'relieved of duty' while criminal and administrative investigations are underway.
Those officers have not faced any criminal charges.

"As an officer attempted to deescalate the situation that was underway, PFC Timberlake arrived shortly after and used force that is unacceptable," the Fairfax County Police Department said in a statement.

Louisiana Deputy Arrested on Child Exploitation Charge

During a search warrant police say they found child pornography images on this officer's electronic devices.

A former Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested by The Department of Homeland Security in New Orleans on May 20 on child exploitation charges.

Former deputy Phillip Guidry, 35, was dismissed from his position following his arrest on 20 counts of possession of child pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13. Guidry was arrested amid an investigation by the Louisiana Office of the Attorney General assisted by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.

According to WDSU News, on May 20 investigators arrived at Guidry’s residence in Houma, Louisiana with a search warrant. Upon searching Guidry’s devices, they located several images of child pornography. Guidry was arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. The embattled officer is charged with 20 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles Under the Age of 13. Bail is set at $20,000.

Guidry’s employment with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office lasted for more than eight years and officially ended upon his arrest. He spent most of his time as a patrol deputy. Prior to his employment with the sheriff's office, Guidry served as a U.S. Marine.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre says:

“These actions are reprehensible and are in direct opposition to our mission and values at the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office. As peace officers, we are expected to hold ourselves to the highest standards, but inevitably, some falter. I am extremely disappointed with this deputy’s actions. As we go forward, we will continue holding the men and women of our agency accountable and ensure they maintain the highest standards of integrity and service to the community.”

Dept Accused of ‘Faking’ Thank You Cards to Themselves Amid Rash of Police Brutality

Austin, PD — In the past several weeks, the Austin police department has been captured on video murdering an unarmed man, shooting a child in the head with a rubber bullet, shooting an innocent student in the head with a projectile, and firing on the citizens attempting to render aid to that student. These acts of police violence have all gone unpunished. Tensions, as one might expect, are high between the community and their police force. According to the Austin police department, however, there is an outpouring of support in the form of “Thank you” cards. But the Twitter-verse has found that something smells fishy.

On Saturday, the Austin police department took to Twitter to essentially put out a piece of propaganda to claim how much their community loves them. A black and a white officer were conveniently chosen to be photographed reading from a pile of thank you cards.

“We can’t express enough how grateful we are to serve you, Austin,” the APD account tweeted on Saturday. “Our officers have been working around the clock during these unprecedented times and thank everyone who took the time to write and make our day a little brighter. #OneAustinSaferTogether #Thankful”.

But when their Twitter followers looked at the picture closely, they began to spot something strange. Most of the cards in the photo had the same handwriting. Weird, right? That’s what we thought too.

“Weird how all of those letters have precisely the same handwriting and were all hand-delivered without postage,” one Twitter user wrote.

Others called out the ‘coincidence’ of the dynamic races of the officers chosen in the photo as well.

After receiving so much backlash online, the Austin police department released a ridiculous statement to Gizmodo about why the cards had the same handwriting. That hilarious statement is below.

“Many of you have inquired about the cards that were posted on our social media pages,” Austin PD wrote to Gizmodo. “The cards were from several community members to include kindergartners and Austin families, who wanted to show support for APD officers. Two people, who organized delivering the cards in person, addressed the envelopes with a “Thank you,” so our officers would open the notes to receive encouragement during these difficult times. That is why the front of the envelopes appear to have the same handwriting.” All the letters were, APD stated, delivered at the same time this past Thursday.

As Gizmodo points out, however, the inclusion of “kindergartners” is suspect because Texas schools were ordered to close for the remainder of the 2020 academic year by state governor Greg Abbott in mid-April. There are no kindergarten classrooms open in Texas, or most of the country for that matter.

"In a phone call after Gizmodo requested clarification, a public information officer declined to identify the two people who delivered these letters. The officer claimed that APD are not aware of what community group (if any) was responsible for organizing the letter-writing campaign, and that the information concerning kindergarteners was provided by the two individuals who delivered the letters. “We don’t know what school or what kindergarteners” the officer admitted, later walking the claim back to state that calling some of the writers “kindergarten-aged” would be more accurate.

In the same call in which the PIO admitted “we don’t know who they are,” they also staunchly denied that the letter-writers are themselves officers or relatives of officers. APD deny that the purpose of posting these photos was in any way related to recent events."

It is indeed possible and also likely that the APD received the letters from a bunch of blue lives matter folks who could’ve written dozens of cards each. However, the fact that the APD tweeted images of their two officers smiling and laughing with the thank you cards only days after they shot a child in the head with a rubber bullet, shot a student in the head with a projectile and fired on the ones helping him, and also murdered 42-year-old Michael Ramos, speaks to the tone-deaf nature of law enforcement.

We are expected to believe that there is an outpouring of support for a department who conducts itself in such a violent manner. Sorry, but we just don’t buy it.

This jackboot thug wearing a costume and a badge thinks that someone who stands up for their rights and knows/follows the law is a "troublemaker." Even though the pig admits that the man has no legal obligation to answer his questions, he still continues to berate and accuse the man of being disrespectful. This blue line gang member thinks people should just lick his boots and not stand up for their rights. People have no legal obligation to assist police with their investigations, answer questions or comply with unlawful demands. Another pig earning the hate as he polices with his ego instead of the law.

As City Moves to Disband Dept., Cops Conduct Drive-by Pepper Sprays on Peaceful Protesters

Minneapolis, MN — On Saturday, several Minneapolis city council members announced that big things were coming in the pipeline that would be revealed on Sunday. Then, on Sunday, nine members of the Minneapolis City Council proclaimed their support for disbanding the Minneapolis Police Department at a rally. Around the same time, Minneapolis cops were proving to the public exactly why they need to be disbanded — by conducting drive-by pepper sprays on entirely peaceful protesters.

City Council President Lisa Bender minced no words on Sunday when she said, “our commitment is to end our toxic relationship with MPD and to end policing as we know it to recreate systems of public safety that actually keep us safe.”

She was joined on stage by City Council Vice President Andrea Jenkins, and members Alondra Cano, Philippe Cunningham, Jeremiah Ellison, Steve Fletcher, Cam Gordon, Andrew Johnson and Jeremy Schroeder.

“This council is going to dismantle this police department,” Ellison said. Alondra Cano who represents the 9th Ward replied, “we are going to create a fear-free future where every life is truly protected and respected.”

The money that used to go to giving cops expensive instruments of war like MRAPS, sound cannons, and other military gear, will now go to the community instead. This is a revolutionary precedent, and if it is done right, could prove to be a major shift in policing in the land of the free.

A member of the social justice organization Black Visions, Miski Noor voiced her support for the disbanding of MPD saying, “MPD has shown us who they really are over and over and over again.”

Indeed, they have. As the following video illustrates, the police department is rogue and enacts violence and pain for apparent sport. As you watch the video below, take note on how the cops are not stopping. They are not making arrests. They are driving by and pepper spraying peaceful protesters for the sole purpose of inflicting pain and terror.

The video below is all the evidence the city council members need to make their case to disband the Minneapolis police department, right now.

Fort Pierce, FL — Officer Albert Eckrode — like so many other cops do to avoid accountability — resigned after he was caught on a hospital’s surveillance video bullying and beating a patient. For nearly four months, this move seemed to have worked in his favor. However, given the current climate in the country and police departments getting called out for failing to hold bad cops accountable, officials finally charged this violent cop with assault.

Police departments across the country have been put on blast by citizens in the last two weeks for failing to hold their officers accountable for their crimes. Now, some departments appear to be scrambling to tie up loose ends by going after cops they previously let slide. Officer Eckrode, from the Fort Pierce Police Department, is one of those cops.

Eckrode, a K9 handler with the department, was captured on video on February 20 of this year violently abusing a troubled man at a hospital. According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Police Chief Diane Hobley-Burney said police officers and crews with St. Lucie County Fire Rescue found the man unconscious and intoxicated on Okeechobee Road.

When they brought the man to the hospital, he reportedly yelled at the officers but never once became physically combative. In fact, he was so non-threatening that police never put him in handcuffs.

Nevertheless, the yelling apparently caused Eckrode to lose it and as the video shows, he walks over to the man who is seated in a recliner and begins his assault. Eckrode starts his assault by kicking the chair in which the man is seated before he starts repeatedly slapping him.

The slapping then turns into punching as Eckrode escalates the violence. The man, who is shirtless and shoeless, never lifts a finger to provoke the punches, much less defend himself. After receiving multiple punches to the face, the man slumps over in the chair as Eckrode gets in his face, seemingly rubbing it in that he can abuse him with no accountability.

Officer Monica Frederic, 27, a one-year employee of the department stands in the background and does nothing to stop the abuse. Both officers then lied on their statements and covered up the beating. Had this video not existed, they would both still be cops.

At a press conference announcing the charges against the officer, chief Hobley-Burney noted that this was not a use of force investigation, it was a criminal one.

“So that it is clear, this was not a use-of-force action by Eckrode, it was a criminal act that will not be tolerated,” Hobley-Burney said. “By no means are the actions of Eckrode and Frederic reflective of the officers of the Fort Pierce Police Department."

So the chief has no problem with the other "officers" who just stood around watching and did not intervene? Same old song and dance from a corrupt police chief trying to save face and place all blame on "a few bad apples."

“It saddens me that they have tarnished our badge and the trust our citizens have in us,” she said. “We must hold ourselves accountable for our actions and reassure our residents and visitors that they will be treated professionally and with respect, regardless of the situation.”

                                                                    According to CBS 12:

"The chief said the FDLE determined Eckrode broke the law. Police arrested him on felony charges of battery and official misconduct, and a misdemeanor charge of writing a false report to a law enforcement officer of an alleged crime, according to jail records. He posted bond on Thursday night.

Officer Monica Frederic faces a charge of filing a false report of the commission of a crime. Frederic, 27, has been on unpaid leave since March. She also faces a termination hearing."

Below is a video proving that cops will beat helpless individuals and then conspire to cover it up. Hopefully, this move to charge the officers is the beginning of a trend of accountability and not an act of virtue signalling to temporarily appease the masses. Only time will tell.
