On December 16 Honolulu Police Officer John Rabago admitted that he instructed a homeless man to lick a public urinal if he wanted to avoid being arrested. The homeless man has been identified as 37-year-old Samual Ingall.

Rabago originally lied and denied the accusations, but admitted Monday in court that he told Ingall that he would not be arrested if he licked the urinal. Ingall complied stating that he would do anything to stay out of jail.

U.S. District Judge Leslie Kobayashi said Rabago’s threat wasn’t a mistake or miscommunication. Kobayashi stated in court: “You knowingly and willfully forced Ingall to lick the urinal."

KTAR News reports that on the day of the incident officers were responding to a nuisance complaint when they found Ingall in a public restroom. Rabago and Officer Reginald Ramones were in the bathroom with Ingall when Rabago repeatedly instructed Ingall to lick the urinal, then told Ramones to close the door so that a camera would not catch what happened next.

Once defendant Ramones closed the bathroom door, co-defendant Rabago again instructed Ingall to lick the urinal. The victim then reluctantly knelt down before the urinal and licked the urinal. Co-defendant Rabago then allowed Ingall to gather his possessions and leave the bathroom.

Rabago followed Ingall out of the bathroom, and laughed as he told officers outside about what had just happened.

Rabago said "the incident was 'just like what happened at Cartwright Field'" when he had told a "man that he would avoid arrest only if he stuck his head in a toilet," according to court documents.

Later, Rabago and Ramones learned that the department and the FBI were investigating what had happened. Rabago told Ramones to delete text messages about the incident and tell investigators that he was joking when he told Ingall to lick the urinal.

Ramones was also charged with conspiring to deprive Ingall of his civil rights, but pleaded guilty to lesser charges after agreeing to cooperate with investigators.

Rabago has been on restrictive duty, and is expected to be fired. He could be sentenced to 30 months in prison.

Cop Receives Unprecedented 4-Year Sentence for Forcing Homeless Man to Lick a Urinal

Honolulu, HI — As TFTP reported in December, officer John Rabago pleaded guilty to depriving a homeless man of his civil rights. This week, that sadistic Honolulu was sentenced to four years in prison — an unprecedented sentence — for forcing a homeless man to lick a public urinal to avoid being kidnapped and thrown in a cage. What this case illustrates is the power-tripping barbarous behavior of many men and women who claim to ‘protect and serve.’

“You took from him his only possession: his dignity as a human being,” .S. District Judge Leslie Kobayashi said, noting that the homeless man was just as defenseless as Rabago’s own children.

An attorney for the victim, who filed a lawsuit this year, said he was expecting a slap on the wrist but was surprised to see this sentence handed down.

“He’s pleasantly surprised that the court punished him appropriately,” his lawyer, Myles Breiner, said. “He was under the impression that they would coddle him and give him a minimum term, a very low sentence.”

TFTP thought the same. However, the climate appears to be shifting, at least in the short term.

The incident unfolded last year when Honolulu police officer Rabago and another officer responded to a nuisance complaint of a homeless man in a public bathroom. When officers arrived on scene, they found the homeless man in a stall.

When police began questioning him, he refused to cooperate and then gave officers a fake name, according to police. Rabago explained in court that the homeless man told he and his partner that he “would do anything not to get arrested.” That’s when this cop’s sadistic gears in his head started grinding.

“To be homeless, not knowing where your next meal is going to be, to be forced to lick … a dirty urinal by a uniformed police officer. There’s only one word that comes to mind: hopelessness,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Tom Brady said.

For his sadistic actions, Rabago would be charged in 2019 with one count of conspiring to deprive a person of his civil rights and another count of acting under color of law to deprive that person of his civil rights.

Despite initially pleading not guilty, Rabago admitted in court in December that he told the man, Samuel Ingalls, that he wouldn’t arrest him if he licked the urinal. The man knelt down and put his head in the urinal, Rabago said.

Rabago and the other officer, Reginald Ramones, then allowed Ingalls to gather his belongings and leave the bathroom.

The victim’s sisters, Mary and Melody Ingalls say that he actually suffered far more abuse than what was reported. They say Ingalls told them that cops forced him to sit in urine and then pushed his head into the toilet, holding it under water. They also said Ingalls had a big bruise on his arm where police had hit him with a stick.

“We know our brother. We know when he lies. We know when he’s being dishonest,” Mary Ingalls said. “And he was very sincere and very detailed and it never changed, what he said.”

Despite being charged for this horrific act of depriving a homeless man of his civil rights, Rabago was not immediately fired and was merely placed on restricted duty.

Rabago attempted to claim that the order to lick the urinal was a mistake but U.S. District Judge Leslie Kobayashi didn’t buy it, saying, “You knowingly and willfully forced S.I. to lick the urinal.”

What’s more, this sadistic cop admitted to similar actions in the past. According to the report, had previously threatened another man he was questioning by saying he wouldn’t be arrested if he stuck his head in a toilet, court documents said.

Ramones previously said in court that Rabago persuaded him not to tell authorities what happened in the public bathroom and to delete their text messages about it.

In fact, Rabago bragged about that incident as S.I. walked out of the bathroom, laughing at his victim and telling other officers about what he had just done. Rabago said “the incident was ‘just like what happened at Cartwright Field'” when he had told a “man that he would avoid arrest only if he stuck his head in a toilet,” according to court documents.

Rabago originally only face 30 months in prison. However, given the current climate, his defense attorney, Megan Kau, said the judge is making an example. Which she should do.

“I think she’s taking the national environment and making him an example,” Kau said about the judge and the protests against racial injustice and police misconduct across the nation.

“This is not the same,” Kau said, noting that Rabago is Filipino American and the victim is white.

However, as TFTP has reported at length, while the system as a whole certainly shows disparity toward the poor and minorities, anyone and everyone, including all races, social status, income, and education levels are potential victims of the police state.

Another instance of the blue line privilege. An off duty pig driving 134 mph gets pulled over and flashes his badge while copsplaining and pleading with the oath breaker that stopped him. Of course the pig gets only gets tickets for speeding and tag violation and avoids the reckless driving charge because he's a member of the blue line gang.

Cop Charged for Opening Fire on 3 Journalists With Rubber Bullets for No Reason

Multiple times throughout the 20th century, the United States along with 195 other countries ratified the Geneva Convention to afford protections to civilians in places of violence and conflict. In 1977, the US and these countries added Protocols I which specifically increased protections for journalists.

Journalists are protected under this international humanitarian agreement against direct attacks unless and for such time as they take a direct part in hostilities. Intentionally directing an attack against a civilian journalist – whether in an international or in a non-international armed conflict – amounts to a war crime under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court as well as a violation of the Geneva Convention.

As we have watched over the last several months however, American cops apparently did not get the memo.

After the onset of protests from the death of George Floyd, there were countless instances in which police officers were recorded on video targeting journalists. Some of these attacks made international headlines as they occurred on live television. Despite the numerous attacks of journalists captured on video, very few of the offending officers have been held accountable.

The actions of one cop in Detroit, however, were so egregious that he was finally charged this week — nearly two months after he attacked three journalists who work for MLive.

On May 31, Cpl. Daniel Debono with the Detroit police department targeted MLive photojournalist Nicole Hester and independent photographers Seth Herald and Matthew Hatcher. All three of the journalists were wearing press credentials and doing nothing other than practicing their first amendment right to the press.

According to the prosecutor’s office of Kym Worthy, the three journalists identified themselves as press to police. They had their hands in the air and were attempting to cross an empty street when Debono — dressed in riot gear and armed with a weapon that fired rubber bullets and his department issued firearm — began shooting them with the “less than lethal” projectiles.

“Journalists have a right and an obligation to be on the scene of breaking news, without being targeted. These journalists had credentials, identified themselves and were not posing any threat,” John Hiner, vice president of content for MLive Media Group, said, adding it is “outrageous that a police officer fired on working journalists who were doing their jobs.”

All three of the journalists were struck with the bullets.

“The evidence shows that these three journalists were leaving the protest area and that there was almost no one else on the street where they were. The shooting was unprovoked. At no time did the three complainants do anything to cause the defendant to shoot at them,” Worthy’s statement’s read. “They were a threat to no one. There are simply no explicable reasons why the alleged actions of this officer were taken.”

All three of the journalists sustained injuries with Hester sustaining the most serious injuries to her face, neck, arms and legs, according to the release.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig responded to Debono’s charges on Monday, saying “our officers have responded very appropriately, so this should not reflect, as an agency, that this one incident defines how we manage our protests.” Debono has been suspended, according to Craig.

This is clearly not the case, however, as TFTP reported on multiple officers who were seen beating the hell out of a woman around the same time, for doing nothing other than filming police.

According to the release, Debono’s charges of felonious assault carries a maximum penalty of four years in prison.

Given the nature of his attack — an unprovoked rubber bullet melee on journalists — Debono should receive the maximum punishment. He needs to be made into an example for future cops to show them what happens when you attack peaceful people who are doing nothing other than exercising their constitutionally protected rights.

Unfortunately, this case was one of many and the mainstream media, like Reuters, along with countless independent journalists, learned just how sadistic many of these police officers are.

Internal Investigation Shows The Houston PD's Narcotics Units Was An Unsupervised Mess

The Houston PD decided to take a look at itself after a botched drug raid ended with two people killed by officers. The raid was predicated on pure bullshit. Officer Gerald Goines turned two Houston residents into dangerous drug traffickers by using a nonexistent confidential informant, drugs Goines had stashed in his squad car, and a narrative unsupported by any actual facts. Claims of heroin trafficking by a violent drug dealer were undercut by the raid itself, which turned up no heroin or the gun the (fake) informant claimed he saw.

Officer Goines is now former officer Goines. He's facing multiple state and federal charges, including two counts of felony murder. This sort of thing doesn't just happen. It's not an anomaly formed in a pristine environment. The almost-nonexistent oversight of the Houston PD's drug warriors led directly to Goines' deadly concoctions. An internal review of the drug unit by the Houston PD shows officers operated with indifference, carelessness, and negligence. Officer Goines may have been the worst of the 175 officers, but he was far from the only one abusing the system to engage in unsupervised drug warrior freelancing.

The report’s authors wrote that while reviewing Goines and Bryant’s casework from 2016 to 2019, they found 404 errors and a “high level of administrative errors and overall lack of attention to detail” while completing required paperwork.

Auditors found that in the 84 casefiles they reviewed, Goines submitted evidence late 48 percent of the time (40 times) and made unauthorized informant payments 18 times. A quarter of the cases he filed -- 21 -- did not have tactical plans, the critical documents that officers create showing how they plan to carry out a search warrant raid.

Four times, investigators found cases with no search warrant on file. Three cases included problems where there was inadequate documentation about the case’s informant. Two dozen cases lacked case review sheets. Auditors found discrepancies in Goines’ expenses 23 times. In two cases, there were discrepancies in evidence, and another two cases, evidence submission slips were missing.

The full report breaks this down by officer. It appears Officers Goines and Bryant had developed a working relationship that made bending/breaking rules easier. When working together, they relied heavily on "controlled buys." This made it easier to obtain cash from supervisors who seemed unwilling to ask questions -- even when the officers failed to submit paperwork or justify expenditures. In some cases, it appears payments to CIs were broken up into smaller chunks to avoid mandated supervisory reviews. In other cases, Goines and Bryant did not get approval for payments or paid well above the going rate for information leading to very small drug busts.

The sloppiness of officers' work was indirectly encouraged by the indifference of their supervisors.

The audit also found “overwhelmingly” the need to improve administrative procedures, specifically, supervisory review of case files and case tracking. About 25 percent of the time, supervisors failed to sign case file review sheets, and auditors found many cases were turned in six months to a year late -- far longer than the 10 working days allotted by policy.

And the problems go all the way to the top. Police Chief Art Acevedo has been holding onto this report for weeks, refusing to allow the public to see just how corrupt and unrestrained his narcotics division is. Acevedo finally released the report (via Twitter) after the Houston Chronicle released a series of articles discussing the department's lack of transparency. This unconventional release may have been additionally prompted by another set of criminal charges being brought against police officers by the Houston DA.

Prosecutors probing a Houston police narcotics unit announced charges against six former officers tied to a fatal 2019 drug raid. Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg accused the former officers of lying on police reports and other documents as part of a scheme to enrich themselves.

Besides the new charges Goines and Bryant face, Ogg announced charges against former HPD Lt. Robert Gonzales, Sgts. Clemente Reyna and Thomas Wood and Goines’ old partner.

It appears several officers and supervisors in the Houston Police Department feel this isn't going to end well for them. They're getting out before the department gets to them.

In the months after the raid, Goines retired from HPD. Bryant also retired, along with Goines’ other former partner, Hodgie Armstrong. Three supervisors — Sgt. Clemente Reyna, Sgt. Tommy Woods and Lt. Robert Gonzales also retired. Former Narcotics Commander Paul Follis was transferred to a different post, the Hobby Airport Division.

There's some good news at the end of all of this. Some reforms are now in place to reduce the likelihood of this sort of tragedy repeating itself. A supervisor is now required to be on the scene during warrant deployment. No-knock warrants have to be approved by the chief himself (or his "designee"). Officers can no longer use municipal court judges for warrant approval. And, finally, body cameras are mandatory for all drug warrant service. They must be activated before officers leave their vehicles and cannot be shut off until the scene and all suspects are secured. All evidence collected must be logged and photographed. All interactions with informants must be documented and, more importantly, all informants will be subject to periodic background checks and random face-to-face interviews with PD supervisors.

This may fix some things going forward. But a more permanent solution would be to dismantle the current unit and reform it using other officers -- officers who've proven worthy of trust. Officers who've been in a system this devoid of oversight and accountability are pretty much ruined. They need to be given the shortest leash and the least amount of responsibility until they've proven they can handle more. Without a major overhaul, the next horrendous abuse of power is still an inevitability.

‘Mommy Why Is He Touching You Like That?’ Cop Rapes Woman in Front of 7yo Daughter

Houston, TX — As frequent readers of the Free Thought Project know, police sexual misconduct is a serious problem in the land of the free. Second only to complaints of brutality, sexual assaults among the ranks of cops is disgustingly uncommon. As the following case illustrates, many of these sexual assaults happen while the predators are on duty and often involve children.

A 23-year veteran deputy from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a young mother in front of her 7-year-old daughter. Deputy Kenneth Wayne Reed, 45, of Montgomery, who has worked for the sheriff since 1997, faces a criminal felony charge of sexual assault.

The incident is alleged to have happened in March yet Reed remains employed. After the alleged assault took place, Reed was put on desk duty but could face termination in the near future.

According to the Houston Chronicle the incident unfolded as follows:

"A uniformed Reed approached the woman in the 15700 block of Bammel Village Drive and struck up a conversation, according a statement from the sheriff’s office. He told her to put her daughter into her truck, her lawyer said. She said he then called her over to his patrol car, parked a short distance away, and made lewd comments about her body. He then sexually assaulted the woman with his hands, according to the sheriff’s office. Her lawyer said the woman’s daughter used a pad of paper in the car to write a note to her mother, which she held to the window.

Lewis said the girl’s note said something along the lines of, Mommy why is he touching you like that?

The deputy also called himself from the woman’s phone, Lewis said. Later that day, after she left the area, the deputy used the woman’s cell number to send her a lewd photograph and a sexually explicit video of himself, her lawyer said."

After the initial assault, the woman told investigators that she was scared to report it because the man who had just raped her could be the one tasked with investigating it. She got over the fear, however, and did report it, turning in overwhelming evidence in her case.

According to investigators, police verified the photograph on the woman’s phone and gained permission to question her daughter. Reed also programmed in his personal cellphone number under “Officer Kenny Reed” into the woman’s phone.

The woman also submitted to a rape test kit and her daughter’s note was turned in as evidence as well. According to the Chronicle, the sheriff’s sexual assault unit concluded its investigation and handed the case to District Attorney’s Office on April 28. However, he was not charged until nearly three months later.

According to prosecutors, Reed’s attorney attempted to make a plea deal prior to being charged, saying he would plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of official oppression in exchange for two years’ probation.

The evidence was apparently so overwhelming, however, that the DA is pursuing a charge of felony sexual assault, which carries a sentence of 20 years.

Since Reed was on duty at the time of the alleged assault, the woman is also filing a civil lawsuit against the department, claiming that Reed engaged in an Fourth Amendment violation of the woman’s privacy.

Sadly, as TFTP reports on a regular basis, this woman’s case is anything but isolated. What’s more, despite the massive number of officers accused, charged, and convicted of sexual misconduct, very few spend time behind bars. Many of the officers even admit to the conduct but beat the charges based on ridiculous loopholes.

In a sample of 158 police officers who’ve been charged with sexual assault, sexual battery, or unlawful sexual contact with somebody under their control, at least 26 have been acquitted or had charges dropped based on the consent defense, according to a Buzzfeed review of a Buffalo News database of more than 700 law enforcement officers accused of sexual misconduct.

              These numbers are indeed startling.

“Cultural shifts happen, but what we need to see is a policy shift,” said Terra Burns, an advocate in Alaska who has worked to expand police sexual assault laws. “There’s a long entrenched history of institutionalized rape culture that has to change.”

Indeed, one need only browse through our archives to see the brutal reality that is police sexual misconduct. Arguably, the reason it is so pervasive is the fact that they can get away with it with little to no consequences.

Unfortunately, while the actual laws written in the United States against rape appear harsh, at first glance, in reality the cops, the prosecutors, the judges, and eventually juries go soft on sexual predators, especially predators who wear a badge.

The largest domestic terrorist gang in the USA is back at it again. These pigs lie to a homeowner telling him that they have a warrant to search his home and when the homeowner requests to see the warrant one of the oath breakers admits that he lied and they have no warrant. This gang of costumed and badged thugs think they are above the law and violate this man's rights all for the opportunity to impose their unlawful search and possibly generate some revenue.

More jackboots policing with their feelings and opinions rather than the law that they took an oath to uphold. Poor little officer Pissy Pants became the butt of a joke and had to exert his unlawful authority and show the prankster who's boss.

WATCH: Cops Attack Teen, Falsely Charge Him for Offering Them a Donut

Everett, WA — Hanging a donut from a string and dangling it in front of people while on public property may be in poor taste — but it is most definitely not illegal. However, cops in Everett, Washington appear unconcerned with legality all together. In a video posted to Facebook this week, cops are seen attacking an innocent teenager and then falsely charging him with assault over their violence.

During the pro-police “Back the Blue” rally in Everett over the weekend, an 18-year-old man made a joke by tying a donut to a string and dangling it in front of the cops.

As the video shows, the teen skates over to the officers who are standing around after the rally, organized by the Snohomish County Republican Party. Judging from his BLM and ACAB skateboard, the teen was obviously a counter protester at the Blue rally.

As the young man rolls up, he asks the officers if they want a donut and everyone standing around starts laughing and playing along.

“I wanted to know if any of you guys wanted a bite?” he asks two Snohomish County sheriff’s marshals in the video, dangling the donut in front of them as they laughed. One young man in the group even laughed and said he’d already eaten “like 10 donuts” already that day.

However, there was one plain-clothes lieutenant who didn’t find the teen’s shenanigans too pleasing.

“Get that f**king thing out of my face, or I will whoop your a**! Get the f**k away from me,” the unidentified cop says before his boys in uniform jumped in, seemingly smelling the blood in the water. An officer identified as marshal James Simoneschi quickly attacks the teen, shoving him backward — an actual assault.

“Back off! Back off! He assaulted a lieutenant,” that marshal shouts. “You back off or you’ll go to jail.”

While shoving the teen backwards and threatening to arrest him over his donut prank, the cops placed him under arrest and then charged with assault.

The teen was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of fourth-degree assault and released the next day after making bail of $1,000.

“I thought, ‘Oh, it’s just a kid pulling a prank,’” Olushola Bolonduro, 26, one of the organizers of the counter-protest, said, according to the Everett Herald. He said he would understand if the deputies were annoyed, or if they gave him a warning, but arresting him seemed petty.

Indeed, it not only seemed petty, but it also seems illegal. When watching the video below, it is clear that no assault took place and both the teen and the donut touched nothing.

The Herald obtained a copy of the arrest report in which Simoneschi wrote that the man had pushed the stick toward the plain clothes lieutenant’s face. The lieutenant was standing on a set of concrete stairs with a retaining wall and hand rail behind him, unable to back away, according to the report.

That’s when Simoneschi pushed the man away, he wrote.

“I observed (the man) move closer to (the lieutenant’s) face and that (the lieutenant) could not retreat any more or move out of (the man’s) way,” Simoneschi wrote. “I pushed (the man’s) arm and (the man) away from” the lieutenant, his report said.

After, the young man “asked another protester, ‘did you get it’ and she stated, ‘yes I did,’” Simoneschi added.

Even according to the marshal’s own report, literally no assault took place. Clearly, this arrest was over contempt of cop and not an issue of public safety.

This teen will likely retain an attorney now and sue the department for civil rights violations all because cops threw a temper tantrum over a donut.

Assault on Officer Charges Dropped for 2 Men As Video Showed it was Self-Defense, Cop Arrested Instead

Self-defense is a natural right; when laws are in place that protect incompetent police by removing one’s ability to protect one’s self, simply because the aggressor has a badge and a uniform, this is a human rights violation. All too often, entirely innocent people spend years in prison because they resisted an officer who was unlawfully arresting them. On the rare occasion, however, as the following case illustrates, sometimes justice is served.

Two innocent men were arrested in January after Sgt. Welton Simpson Jr. attacked, arrested, and falsely charged them with assault. When news of the alleged assault on an officer went public in January, the community was outraged. However, now that the men were proven innocent and the cop is now facing charges, there is no outrage.

“There was a lot of outrage in January. Where is the outrage now?” defense attorney Hunter Pruette said.

WBAL reports that attorneys Natalie Finegar and Hunter Pruette are relieved but disturbed that it took six months to get the Baltimore City state’s attorney to drop the charges.

“I’m relieved the case has been dismissed and is officially over with,” Finegar said. “We’re grateful to Marilyn Mosby for dismissing the case today, but it should have happened in January. He should have never been charged.”

Luckily for Zayne Abdullah and Donnell Burgess — who were the victims of Simpson’s rage — video showed that the cop was the aggressor, not them.

In January, Abdullah was charged with pushing and spitting on Simpson. However, his defense attorney pointed out that Simpson’s own body camera showed that was not true. Multiple eye-witnesses also disputed the official story.

As the video shows, Simpson attacked Abdullah for no reason and took him to the ground. As Simpson pressed his weight onto his victim, Abdullah began to struggle to breathe, so Burgess jumped in to save his friend. He was then arrested for being a hero.

“It’s not that hard to come out and see he’s being a hero, and why is it the defense bar that’s asking these questions and police and prosecutors should have done this a long time ago?” Pruette said.

Thanks to the hard work of the attorneys, these two men are now free and Simpson was indicted last week. He was charged with giving a false statement to police and misconduct in office. Baltimore police suspended his police powers and placed him on administrative duties as their internal investigation continues.

If convicted, Simpson faces the possibility of six months in prison — hardly a just sentence for falsely charging two men who would have spent a decade behind bars for Simpson’s lies.

“And now in July, we get to the point the sergeant was not truthful in what happened that evening,” Finegar said.

Defending yourself against an unlawful arrest is always just but not always viewed that way in the eyes of the state.

The long-standing precedent set in State v. Mulvihill notes:

“If in effectuating the arrest or the temporary detention the officers employs excessive and unnecessary force, the citizen may respond or counter with the use of reasonable force to protect himself, and if in doing so the officer is injured no criminal offense has been committed.”

This case is used by many to claim you can resist any unlawful arrest. However, as the court noted, a citizen “loses his privilege of self-defense if he knows that if he submits to the officer, the officer’s excessive use of force will cease.”

High Level Cop Arrested for Using City Network, Google to Run Child Porn Ring While On Duty

Dallas, TX — The taxpayers of Dallas, Texas may want to request a refund this week after finding out that they have been paying for a pedophile to distribute child porn to other disgusting pedophiles online. This high level cop’s entire operation was conducted on duty, on official government computers, and also on Google.

According to federal court documents, Sr. Cpl. Daniel Lee Collins allegedly uploaded sexual photos of underage girls to various Google accounts using the City of Dallas internet network, according to the Department of Justice.

According to the federal criminal complaint, Collins, a 35-year-old senior corporal assigned to Dallas Police Department’s Auto Theft Unit, was charged via criminal complaint with transportation of child pornography.

“Law enforcement officers take an oath to protect and serve,” said U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox. “This defendant allegedly undermined that vow, preying upon our most vulnerable. The Department of Justice will not tolerate the exploitation of children – especially by our public servants.”

The investigation began with a tip to the the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in May and another in June. The images were being uploaded from multiple accounts held by Collins. Google flagged the images – one uploaded on May 13 to an account tagged “Dan Collins” and two more uploaded on June 29 to an account tagged “John Smith.”

An IT expert in Dallas later traced the IP addresses for the uploads and found them to be coming from the City of Dallas internet network. Investigators determined that the same Google accounts were also accessed from Collin’s residence, according to the federal complaint.

In an interview with federal agents, Collins allegedly admitted to accessing the Google accounts and saving child pornography, according to court documents.

Despite admitting to the heinous acts of exploiting children through the uploading of child pornography, Collin is still on the job. He has only been placed on paid administrative leave pending the results of an internal investigation.

But his blue privilege didn’t stop there.

Likely due to his police officer status, Magistrate Judge David L. Horan denied the government’s motion for detention and granted Collins’ release on a personal recognizance bond. Imagine that. While people are paying thousands to bail themselves out over an arrest for possessing an arbitrary substance deemed illegal by the state, this child predator is allowed to walk out — bail free.

WFAA reports that Collins has been released pending trial and must comply with conditions, which include no unsupervised contact with minors, no possession of pornographic material or any internet-capable devices.

He also had been placed on a house curfew and is not allowed to travel outside the Northern District of Texas without permission from pretrial services, according to federal documents.

If convicted of the crimes — which he already admitted to doing — Collins faces 20 years behind bars of which he should do every single one of them. Not only was this monster preying on society’s most vulnerable but he was doing so on the taxpayers’ dime, while on duty, and held a position in which society placed their trust in him.

For betraying that trust, this pedophile should face far harsher consequences than a regular citizen. Unfortunately, however, this is actually the opposite of what normally happens. Most cops who abuse and prey on children get off with wrist slaps with many of them doing no jail at all.

Trafficking in child porn is also quite common among cops.

Only a week ago, TFTP reported on Sgt. James Robert Wissmann IV, 35, of the Baltimore Police Department who has been collecting a six figure annual salary over the years, on the taxpayer’s dime, all the while he’s been running a sophisticated child porn network. He was sentenced to just 4 years last week despite facing 5 times that sentence.

Bad Apple? 2 Law Enforcement Employees in One Town Arrested in Child Sex Trafficking Sting

Bakersfield, CA — Child predator police officers are an unfortunate and all too common reality in the land of the free. On a near daily basis, cops across the country are busted for horrifying acts against children. Highlighting the severe nature of this problem is the fact that two law enforcement employees in the same town have just been arrested in a child sex sting.

An employee with the California Corrections department and a California Highway Patrol officer were two out of 15 people arrested during an undercover operation targeting online child predators, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Special Victim’s Unit.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has been working for several months on an operation that targets online child predators. KCSO said that during the coronavirus lockdown, online predators were out in full force going after children vulnerable to sexual exploitation and grooming.

During the operation, the KCSO was surprised when it ensnared two of their own fellow law enforcement folks. CCHCS employee Ricardo Mancillas, 54, and CHP Officer Brian Pardue, 51, were arrested on multiple charges

Mancillas is facing charges of meeting with a minor, arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd acts and contacting a minor with the intent to perform lewd acts.

Pardue was arrested during the execution of a search warrant, according to ABC 23. He’s facing charges of contacting a minor with the intent to perform lewd acts and arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd acts.

After his arrest the CHP fired him and quickly released a canned statement similar to ones they have released in the past when other officers are caught preying on children. We are assured he’s just a bad apple and everyone else is perfect — until the next time it happens.

                          The CHP released this statement:

“The CHP is aware of the arrest of Officer Brian Pardue by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office for alleged behavior that occurred while the employee was off duty. The CHP continues to fully cooperate with the investigating agency and we are conducting our own investigation into the allegations. I want to assure the public that we take any allegation of misconduct by our employees, whether on or off duty, very seriously.

I also want to emphasize to the public that the alleged conduct of this employee does not reflect the values, hard work, dedication and professionalism of the CHP and its more than 11,000 employees, who proudly work each day to provide the best in Safety, Service, and Security to the people of California.”

According to ABC 23, the operation involved undercover detectives, posing as minor children through various online applications and websites. The detectives were contacted and solicited by individuals interested in the sexual exploitation of children.

On top of the two law enforcement personnel arrested, 13 others including two registered sex offenders were arrested as well.

It is a sad day when police officers — the ones who claim to protect us — are caught preying on society’s most vulnerable. However, there are a lot of sad days as this situation plays out like a broken record, over and over again.

Cop Arrested After Responding to 911 Call by Stealing Guns from Dead Victim

Pasadena, MD — Police officers in America are not picked from the cream of the crop or some breed of super human infallible beings — they are human and therefore they are imperfect. This statement is obvious to many but ignored by others who choose to look the other way during the rampant criminal actions by entire departments. Only in instances in which cops are caught in the act will the apologists acknowledge it but quickly write it off to the “bad apple” fallacy.

Cpl. Jacob Miskill, with the Anne Arundel County police department is one of those bad apples. Miskill was arrested over the weekend by his own department. He was caught stealing guns and other property from the home of a dead man.

According to the report by WBAL, County police said officers were called April 27 to a report of an unattended death at a house in the 1600 block of Wall Drive in Pasadena. On Friday, the police chief received information that one of the responding officers, Cpl. Jacob Miskill, may have stolen firearms and other property from the house.

Investigators then issued a search warrant for Miskill’s home and must have found some of the items because he was arrested shortly after. Miskill was then charged with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary, theft, theft scheme and misconduct in office.

“The actions of this individual are contrary to the sacred oath that we as police officers take to protect and serve our community and to uphold the laws of the state of Maryland. This officer’s criminal actions tarnish the badge worn by every Anne Arundel County police officer and the actions are inexcusable,” Interim Police Chief William Lowry said in a statement. “I ordered that the officer be suspended without pay. While this is certainly not who we are as the Anne Arundel County Police Department, I understand how this grieves our department and grieves our community. The tarnish placed on our badge will be removed by the honorable and continual service of our Police Department, as was demonstrated today by the immediate criminal investigation into this incident resulting in the arrest of this officer.”

“When a police officer uses the authority bestowed by the badge to facilitate criminal activity of any kind, that officer is undermining law enforcement everywhere,” Chief William Lowry said in a statement. “This cannot and will not be tolerated.”

As stated above, this sort of thing likely happens far more than is reported as these instances only make the news when the cops are arrested. TFTP has reported on numerous cases similar to Miskill in which cops have robbed the people they were called to help.

In fact, some of these cops were so flagrant with their criminal actions that they were caught on their own body cameras.

Officer Linnard R. Crouch was seen on his own body camera—not helping a 74-year-old man who was having a heart attack—but robbing him. The elderly victim, James Mabe had the cash to go buy Christmas presents for his grandchildren, but because the cop robbed him instead of helped him he’d never make it. What’s more, the officer who stole a dying elderly man’s Christmas money never went to jail.

With almost no news coverage, Crouch pleaded guilty to robbing the elderly dying man. Instead of being punished for his utter betrayal of public trust and despicable act, Crouch was given probation and never spent one day behind bars. Miskill will likely receive the same treatment as his victim was reportedly already dead when he robbed him.

Horrifying Video Proves Cops Lied and Murdered Happy Dog for Walking in It’s Own House

Detroit, Mi — It is no secret in the United States that cops kill dogs. It happens so often that there is even a term for it. It is called puppycide. For some reason, unlike package delivery drivers, pizza delivery drivers, and postal workers — who interact with countless more dogs than police — cops most often resort to deadly force with man’s best friend. And, as the following case illustrates, it costs the taxpayers dearly.

Because American law enforcement is addicted to prohibition, cops conduct tens of thousands of militarized raids every year looking for banned substances. Detroit resident Kira Horne and her beloved pit bull fell victim to one of these tyrannical raids in 2018.

While many instances of cops killing dogs go un-reconciled because police officers are believed over the drug suspects, in Horne’s case, there was video evidence that disputed the cop’s argument that they were in danger.

                                As Reason reports:

"The body camera footage shows several members of the Detroit Police Department’s Gang Intelligence unit executing a narcotics search warrant. As Miller enters a hallway while clearing the house, a black pit bull comes out of a room and advances toward Miller before he fires his shotgun at it, mortally wounding the animal. But the dog was neither growling nor barking.

A second pit bull enters the hallway. Miller yells at it, and the dog runs back into another room before emerging again and standing next to the corpse of the first dog. It is not barking, growling, or moving toward Miller when he fires at it."

“It’s a f**kin’ homicide scene,” one of cops remarks after they just blasted the life from the pit bull for absolutely no reason. Horne was not the target of the raid, and the “heroic” cops who busted down the door and murdered a happy puppy, did so to arrest a man who had a little bit of cocaine. Feel safe yet?

After the raid that left Horne’s dog dead in a puddle of blood, police claimed the shooting was justified because the pit bull attacked or was about to attack the officer. However, as the video below shows, that is a lie.

In a “destruction of animal” report that Miller filed after the raid, obtained by Reason through a public records request, the officer claimed that he “observed a black pit bull and a tan pit bull showing his teeth, charging, and attempting to bite crew.” In a separate incident report, Miller embellished a little more, writing that “a large black pitfall came charging at me down the hallway from the northwest bedroom. I fired two shots…neutralizing the threat. While still in the hallway, a second brown pit bull came charging down the hallway towards me.”

Despite this statement being an utter lie, every one of Miller’s supervising officers signed off on the report and their “investigation” of themselves ruled themselves justified in killing the dog.

It was an open and shut case until Horne and the man arrested for having the cocaine filed a complaint. Only after Horne showed them the body camera footage did police reverse their ruling in the “investigation.”

The taxpayers of Detroit then shelled out $75,000 to pay for the cop’s actions. For lying on the report and killing a dog, Miller was not fired and is still gainfully employed with the Detroit police department.

“As is typical in these cases, the officer falsely reported that the dogs attacked the police in order to justify the shooting,” says Horne’s attorney, Chris Olson. “Thus, this case is part of a pattern of Detroit police officers wrongfully shooting dogs and then lying about it. Fortunately, in this case, body camera footage showed the truth.”

55 million in taxpayer money paid out because of sheriff's gang culture. I'm really not sure how the FBI hasn't dismantled this entire department.

Los Angeles County has paid out roughly $55 million in settlements since 1990 in civil cases involving allegations that sheriff's deputies belonged to a secret society, records show.

While Trying to Kill Family’s Dog, LAPD Cop Reportedly Shoots His Partner Instead

Los Angeles, CA — On a regular basis, TFTP reports on instances of cops killing dogs. In the last couple of weeks, there have been so many dogs killed by police, that many of the shootings have been captured on video. In some of these instances, when cops open fire on dogs, they often show careless disregard for the innocent lives who may be near the area. TFTP has unfortunately reported on instances in which innocent children have been shot as cops try to kill their dogs. In the following case, however, it appears that a cop shot his fellow officer while attempting to kill a dog.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday when police responded to a report of a suicidal man who was reportedly holding scissors. Because police are the ones sent to deal with mentally ill — instead of trained medical professionals — the only tools on the scene were weapons and yelling.

According to police, the 33-year-old man was holding a pair of scissors when officers arrived. He was accompanied in the home by his wife, mother-in-law and three small children — and the family’s pet Rottweiler.

Police say that during the response, an officer fired a shot which they suggested was directed at the dog. During the firing, a female officer was struck.

During an encounter, a female officer was struck by gunfire in the wrist, but it is unclear what led to the shooting. At some point, a fire extinguisher was used, apparently to try and control the dog. The officer had residue from the extinguisher on her boots, LAPD Chief Michel Moore said, according to KTLA.

The department tweeted out the scant details of the situation on Wednesday night.

"There has been an LAPD Officer-Involved Shooting in the area of Santa Monica Blvd & Wilton Pl within@LAPDHollywood Division. Preliminary info is that officers responded to a suicidal male radio call at approx 2:10pm in the area of Santa Monica Blvd & Wilton Place.

Upon arrival officers made contact with the subject and a Rottweiler. During the encounter an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred and an officer was struck by gunfire. The officer’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

It appears the officer was struck by “friendly fire”, but that has not been confirmed. The subject, who was armed with a pair of scissors, was taken into custody. The dog was injured & taken to a local vet for treatment, but the cause of the injury has not been determined."

Luckily, the small children were not injured or killed during the attempted puppycide.

Bad Cop Cleared for Punching Innocent Man as Good Cops Punished for Releasing Video

Miami Beach, FL — On December 18, 2018, Miami Beach police officer Adriel Dominguez lost his temper and delivered a haymaker to the face Lowell Poitier Jr., sending the innocent man crashing to the ground. The entire incident — which unfolded in 2018 — was captured on body camera and the public only knew about it because two good cops would show it to them.

For the last two years, an internal “investigation” has been underway which wrapped up recently. One would think that the two cops who showed a criminal cop punching an innocent man would be given a promotion and the bad cop fired and charged, right? Wrong.

Instead of Dominguez facing charges of assault for attacking Poitier, he was cleared of any wrongdoing. And, instead of promoting the two cops who exposed a bad cop within their ranks, Internal Affairs investigators gave Miami Beach Police Officer Alfredo Garcia a written warning for “producing and distributing an unauthorized version of recordings” from his body camera. And Officer Frederick Dominguez received notice of a 10-hour suspension for releasing a copy of the tape made by Garcia to his attorney, Michael Pizzi.

The two cops are seeking whistleblower protection.

According to the report, Garcia filmed a copy of the body camera video on his cellphone and then gave that to officer Frederick Dominguez, who then released it.

Just like that, the bad cop gets a pass and the two good cops are punished for crossing the thin blue line.

The incident unfolded in December of 2018 at the Pelican Hotel. According to police, Poitier was being loud and smoking a cigar which bothered other customers.

                                        As the Miami Herald reports:

"According to internal affairs investigators, when Garcia and Adriel Dominguez arrived they spoke to the manager and asked Poitier to leave. Then, the report says, Poitier, who is Black, swore at the officers and called them “crackers.” Video of the confrontation shows Poitier walk toward Adriel Dominguez and put his face within inches of the officer’s face. The officer then grabs Poitier briefly with his left hand and cold-cocks him with a right, sending him crashing to the ground.

Some parts of Poitier’s arrest report didn’t seem to match what was seen on the video. In the report, police wrote that Poitier clenched his fist and took a fighting stance. That didn’t seem to be the case in the video."

Despite the false claims in the report, Poitier was charged with resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct. However, after the facts of the case showed that Poitier was the victim and not the aggressor, all those charges were dropped. David Kubiliun, an attorney who represents Poitier, said they are now pursuing a civil suit against the department for excessive force.

As the newspaper reports, the information on the Miami Beach police officers came to light after a recent public records request by the Miami Herald. In the close-out memo that cleared Adriel Dominguez, the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office said the officer could have believed Lowell Poitier Jr. was “about to hit him.”

“Thus, officer Dominguez had the right to protect himself,” wrote Assistant State Attorney Sandra Miller-Batiste in the “investigation” which cleared Dominguez.

Tuesday, Miami Beach Police Chief Richard Clements justified the officer’s unprovoked knock-out punch by claiming there is a side to police work that “doesn’t always look good,” but falls within the guidelines of what officers are trained to do.

“I believe this is one of those cases,” said the chief. “He was in what the officer perceived to be a fighting stance. In that case the officer reverted back to his training. It was a distractionary blow.”

Naturally, the whistleblower cops and their attorney disagree.

“What a disgrace. Based on the way this was handled, it’s open season on innocent people,” said Pizzi. “It’s outrageous.”

We agree. When good cops are punished for blowing the whistle, while the bad ones get a pass, any talk of “reforming” America’s police problem is pointless.

Manatee County sergeant arrested after sex chat with undercover deputy posing as minor

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A sergeant with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office was arrested Tuesday afternoon for discussing sexual acts with who he thought was a minor, but was really a Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputy.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, beginning on July 24, a HCSO detective was working undercover on a social media app when Sergeant Stephen Utter, 37, allegedly began a conversation with a “14-year-old girl.”

Utter was immediately made aware of the fictitious girls’ age.

During the conversations online and via text message, Utter sent explicit messages detailing the sexual acts he wished to perform on the juvenile.

When deputies advised the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office of the investigation, MCSO worked with HCSO to arrest Utter.

He was taken into custody afternoon at the Manatee County Fairgrounds during a work-related training exercise.

“The conduct of this sergeant is in no way a reflection of the thousands of deputies across Tampa Bay who are committed to serving their communities with integrity,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister.

                                          (cough, cough, bullshit)

“We will not tolerate this predatory behavior from anyone, including a fellow law enforcement officer, as displayed by the quick actions both the Manatee and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Offices took to arrest this individual.”

                                          (cough, cough, bullshit)

Utter has worked as a law enforcement officer in the Manatee County Jail since 2011.

He was booked into the jail on charges of unlawful use of a two-way communications device, transmission of harmful material to a minor and use of computer devices to solicit certain illegal acts.

WATCH: Cop Runs Up, Kicks Man in Head Lying Facedown with Hands behind Back

The Louisiana cop was arrested in June for the incident that took place in April. The video was released last week.

Timothy Williams said he ran from the cops after they found him with a fake gun and crack pipe because he was afraid they would hurt him.

But he surrendered by lying facedown on the ground with his hands behind his back once he realized he was not going to outrun them.

However, that did not stop a Monroe police officer from running up to him and kicking him in the head as if it were a football, leaving the 40-year-old man howling in pain.

Monroe police officer Jared Preston DeSadier then planted his knee on Williams' neck while pressing his face into the ground, causing him to howl in pain even louder.

The incident took place on April 21 and DeSadier was arrested two months later on the felony charges of second-degree battery and malfeasance in office.

The body cam video was released Thursday and shows another Monroe police officer chasing Williams, threatening to taser him if he did not stop.

It also shows that same cop standing over Williams after he had surrendered, reaching for the handcuffs on his belt while Williams remained on the ground with his hands behind his back.

Almost ten seconds go by before DeSadier comes sprinting up to kick Williams in the head. He then proceeds to plant his body weight on Williams while telling him to "put your f*¢king hands behind your back!".

The arrest report made no mention of the kick but it did say he was transported to the hospital to be treated for “lacerations he suffered while trying to evade capture" but the video shows he was not evading anybody when he was kicked.

Williams pleaded guilty to flight from an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia but his attorneys say they are still plan on suing.

DeSadier, 42, resigned after he was charged with two felonies. He faces up to ten years in prison. It does not appear as if he has entered a plea. Watch the shortened video above with a portion in slow motion to show the kick.

WATCH: Incompetent Cop Tasers Fellow Officer Causing Him to Shoot Unarmed Man

Remo, NV — A Nevada man is lucky to be alive after a scene — resembling an episode of Comedy Central’s Reno 911 — unfolded during a traffic stop last month. A missed taser shot would set off a chain reaction leading to an unarmed man bleeding out on the pavement, having been shot by a cop.

The incident unfolded in July, however, authorities just released the body camera footage this week. It is an exhibition in police incompetence and could have been a deadly one at that.

According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, around 8:30 in the morning on July 26, a deputy pulled over a driver who was reportedly driving recklessly. Police say the man was uncooperative leading to the deputy calling for backup from the Reno police department.

Deputy Chief Tom Robinson, of the Reno Police Department, said the officers arrived at a parking lot in the area to find several deputies pointing their Tasers at a 43-year-old man, according to the Reno Gazette Journal.

“Can you go on your knees, please,” a deputy is heard asking the driver.

                                                “No,” the man says.“

Let’s talk about things,” the deputy says.

“I’m going to run, I’m sorry,” the man responds.

Circling around the man as multiple officers are equipped with deadly weapons was an ignorant move. Basic training teaches officers not to be in the line of fire of their fellow cops, but these cops — who were acting like they were in a bad cop movie — had no problem getting into each other’s line of fire.

The fact that guns were out at all, when they were dealing with a mostly polite, non-violent and unarmed traffic suspect, is ridiculous and speaks to the lack of training within the department.

At this point, the video shows the deputy preparing to fire and then firing the taser in the direction of the driver. The deputy misses the driver, however, and strikes the Reno officer in his knee. The electricity surging through the officer’s body then caused him to “unintentionally” fire the gun once at the man’s shoulder, Chief Robinson said in the video.

The fact that a deputy missed the man with the taser who was just a few feet away, highlights the lack of training mentioned above.

After the shot rang out, it took a second for the man to realize police had shot him. He then falls to the ground, bleeding as officers render first aid.

In the meanwhile, the female deputy appears to go into full-on panic mode and begins screaming hysterically.

“You’re OK, you’re OK,” a deputy is heard telling the driver. “Medical is here for you, OK. Talk to me, what’s your birthday?”

Meanwhile, another Reno police officer asks, “Who was it?”

The officer who fired the gun is then heard saying: “I think it was me. I got shot with the Taser and I thought … F***.”

According to the Journal, the man was then taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released. Investigators with the Sparks Police Department then took him into custody on charges that include reckless driving as well as obstructing and resisting an officer.

He will most assuredly file a lawsuit against the department and the taxpayers will likely be buying this man a new house.

Deputies Caught Arresting People for Drugs, Stealing the Drugs and Reselling Them on the Street

Bakersfield, CA — As TFTP reported in 2017, in a massive blow to justice and a nail in the coffin that is police accountability, two former cops who pleaded guilty to arresting people for drugs, stealing those drugs, and selling them for themselves, avoided jail despite their guilty pleas. As the Free Thought Project reported, former sheriff’s deputies Logan August and Derrick Penney pleaded guilty to a massive conspiracy in which they would arrest people for selling drugs only to turn around and use those drugs to enrich themselves.

These two bad cops received probation only, for their crimes.

After getting off with a wrist slap, last year August was charged — again — with with 15 felony counts, including conspiracy and burglary, in connection with stealing drugs from a sheriff’s storage locker and putting them back on the street.

This recent investigation began last year and ended on Thursday with August and Penny pleading no contest to the charges.

                                                  As ABC 23 reports:

"The investigation was initiated following a plea deal between August and Derrick Penny, another former KCSO deputy, and Federal Prosecutors of the United States Attorney’s Office.

The DA’s Office said upon learning of the of the Federal plea, KCSO Commander Erik Levig began an investigation in conjunction with the District Attorney Investigator Don Krueger to learn the true extent of the crimes committed by any member of KCSO. This year-long investigation revealed several new offenses committed by August and Penney."

After he pleaded guilty in 2017, investigators later learned that August worked with other law enforcement agencies transporting seized marijuana from crimes scenes to the department — where he was accused of stealing it.

According to ABC 23, Penny also entered a plea of no contest to two felony counts of falsifying a police report Thursday. He will serve 90 days in custody and be placed on probation for his involvement in the case.

As we reported at the time, shortly after his arrest, August released a video blaming satan for his actions.

In the video, titled “I’m sorry” August said, “I want to first of all just express how sorry I am to the residents of Kern County and Bakersfield and especially to all the partners that I have with the Kern County Sheriff’s department and all the partners in the Bakersfield city Police Department. And anybody I ever worked with, anybody that wears the badge that I disgraced.”

August went on to say that “I made that decision based on Satan playing games with me, and making me feel like I was prideful and unable to go to family members for help.”

August explained that he pleaded guilty to his crimes and accepted responsibility for his actions, despite blaming them on satan.

Apparently, this cop was fostering a long-standing relationship with ‘satan’ as he’d been running this racket for quite some time.

August has a history of using the power of the state to oppress others and profit from it. According to the court document, he routinely participated in “marijuana eradication operations,” only to turn around and sell the stolen plants for hefty sums.

“On 10 separate occasions between March 2014 and December 2014, August wrongfully took marijuana from a law enforcement eradication operation for personal gain. August distributed to his former confidential informant the equivalent of 25 pounds of usable marijuana wrongfully taken from these law enforcement eradication operations. August received $15,000 from the sale of this marijuana.”

August is now set to be sentenced until October 13, 2020 for the crimes he was accused of after the 2014 charges.

“I certainly hope the judge does the right thing and treats these former officers as they should be treated, and give them the appropriate sentence and I think that will probably happen, but it’s not my role to sentence people,” Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood said.

David Torres, August’s attorney disagrees, claiming no charges should have ever been filed against his client who actually admitted to stealing weed and reselling it.

“First of all, I don’t believe charges should have been filed. There was too much consumption of the public’s time, the public’s money, and efforts by the public,” said Torres. “The reason why it was done was because of the vindictiveness of Sheriff Youngblood and he wants his thumb and finger in everything.”

All of this underscores yet another way that the police state and the war on drugs serve only to degrade society and create crime where none should exist. Growing and selling a medicinal plant that has been used by humans for thousands of years is not the problem. Government’s prohibition of cannabis – borne of racism and the stifling of dissent – is the problem.

While thousands of people are locked in cages every year for possessing a beneficial plant, the enforcers of prohibition – “just doing their job” – benefit both legally and illegally from this war on people. The aforementioned deputies are among the rare few that actually get caught.

The Southern California police officer thought the camera had been turned off.

A Los Angeles police officer was hoping to cop a feel on the body of a woman who had died, so he turned off his body camera and began fondling the dead woman's breasts.

But the camera has a two-minute buffer that continues recording once it has been turned off.

Both police brass and the police union are calling his actions "disturbing," indicating he may not receive the usual Blue Privilege.

Texas DPS trooper arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting woman he pulled over

Lee Boykin Jr. charged with sexual assault after allegedly forcing woman to perform oral sex on him.

KATY, Texas – A state trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman while he was on duty Friday night, DPS officials confirm.

Lee Boykin Jr., 31, is charged with aggravated sexual assault. He’s accused of forcing a woman to perform oral sex on him after a traffic stop, according to multiple reports.

A report from KTRK states that a male driver and his female friend were in a vehicle that was pulling into the parking lot of the Express Inn when Boykin flashed his patrol vehicle lights.

The man was given a warning by Boykin for not using a turn signal when entering the hotel parking lot and the woman, whose identity has not been revealed, was told to get into the passenger side of Boykin’s patrol vehicle, according to court records obtained by KTRK.

Prosecutors allege that Boykin told the woman she had a warrant out for her arrest and drove her to a different parking lot where he forced her to perform oral sex acts, KPRC reported. He then allegedly placed his hand on his firearm and told the woman to run.

Multiple reports say the woman was able to report the incident to Houston Police after running to a nearby fast-food restaurant.

According to court documents obtained by KHOU, Boykin said he initially pulled the vehicle over for not using a turn indicator and claimed that when he ran the woman’s background she had an open warrant for her arrest.

The court documents reveal that Boykin admitted to taking the victim behind a building and asking her to perform a sex act on him but he claims the incident was consensual.

KSAT reached out to DPS officials who sent the following statement regarding the alleged assault:

"The Texas Rangers (DPS) assisted the Houston Police Department with a criminal investigation into an incident that occurred on Friday night, August 7, involving an on-duty Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper, Lee Boykin Jr. The resulting investigative findings supported the arrest and charge of Boykin for the offense of aggravated sexual assault. Boykin was booked into the Harris County Jail.

The department promptly withdrew all of Boykin’s authority as a commissioned officer, ordered him to surrender all department property and initiated the process to terminate his employment.

The Texas Rangers are working closely with the Harris County District Attorney's Office and the Houston Police Department, which is leading this investigation, and we would refer any additional questions to their offices.

Boykin has been employed with the department for approximately four years and was assigned to the Texas Highway Patrol office in Katy."

Boykin was arrested Saturday and booked into Harris County Jail where he was later bonded out, KPRC reported.

WATCH: Power-Tripping Maskless Cop Rips Man’s Mask Off, Get in His Face for Filming

Nashville, TN — Filming the police is entirely legal, in every state. However, all too often, we will see police officers overstep their authority and arrest, attack, and assault innocent people for the constitutionally protected act of documenting their behavior in public. As the following case out Nashville illustrates, many cops couldn’t care less about your First Amendment right to film them and will violate their oaths to the constitution to carry out their tyrannical hatred for police accountability.

Andrew Golden, a police accountability activist was practicing his constitutionally protected right to film in public this week when he was assaulted by Tennessee State Trooper Harvey Briggs.

In a Facebook post, Golden explained what happened:

"Tonight around 6:35pm CST I followed a citizen who was people pulled over by TN State Troopers for the purpose of filming their interaction. As I approached the vehicles, (while remaining a safe distance away on a public sidewalk) a trooper shouted at me, “Get back!”, or something similar to that. I responded colorfully that I was on a sidewalk & that I am filming. Apparently he did not approve of my verbiage, because he then begins to threaten me by saying, 'Go ‘head & use that language again young man.'

When I ask him what he is threatening me with, he approaches me & says that I will be arrested if I impede with the traffic stop. I ask the trooper why his hand is on his gun to which he responds, 'Because that’s the way it always is.' He then steps on my foot while getting directly in my face, all without wearing a mask."

The trooper gets uncomfortably close to Golden’s face with his face, nearly touching him with his nose. Had Golden done this to the trooper, rest assured, he would have been beaten, kidnapped and caged. However, because Briggs wears a badge, he gets a pass.

Though it is not seen on the video, Briggs allegedly rips off Golden’s mask and throws it to the ground.

“Absolutely dumbfounded I begin asking the other troopers if they were going to do anything,” Golden said. “I was met with a blank stare. Seconds later Trooper Briggs straight up says, ‘No I did not’ when I shout about him ripping my mask off my face. ‘I’m tired of you people making stuff up.'”

But when Golden tells him he has it on video, the trooper walks away silently.

After the video began to go viral on Tuesday, the Tennessee Highway Patrol announced an investigation into Briggs.

As COVID-19 cases continue across the nation, more than 20 states have imposed mandatory mask laws, forcing citizens to wear masks in public, or else. While many people praised the mandate, others did not, and, as the video above shows, the ones who are tasked with enforcing the mask laws, aren’t wearing them. And, they are reportedly going further by ripping the masks off of citizens too.

In Nashville, it is against the law not to wear a mask. Last week, the mayor announced that police will be targeting those without a mask for extortion.

“There is clear signage on Broadway reminding persons that the mask mandate has the force of law. Persons in violation can receive a Metropolitan Government citation for adjudication in Environmental Court, or a State of Tennessee criminal misdemeanor citation. Under state law, violation of the Health Department’s mask order is a class C misdemeanor,” the statement read.

This week, TFTP also reported on Metro Nashville At-Large Council Member Sharon Hurt who suggested charging people with attempted murder or murder for refusing to wear a mask.

“If they pass the virus, then they are tried for murder or attempted murder,” Hurt said.

It is important to point out that fining or arresting people for not wearing a mask certainly borders on the verge of tyranny and we do not support such laws. Wearing a mask should be a non-political issue done voluntary for the benefit of containing a virus — not used as a government tool to extort and arrest citizens.

But when cops clearly ignore the law and go as far as ripping masks from the faces of those who wear them, we have a serious problem.

VIDEO released from investigation into Williston police brutality case

The video shows the officer getting physical with a man after accusing him of trespassing.

The video under investigation was originally live-streamed on Facebook. The man accusing Sergeant Landis of police brutality is the one who took the video, which shows what looks like a physical altercation between the two.

In the video, you can hear Sergeant Landis telling the man to put his hands on the police car, accusing him of trespassing. The man behind the phone repeatedly tells the officer to take his hands off him. The video then shows what looks like the two being physical and eventually ends with Landis walking away and back to his car.

After live-streaming, the man sent that video to the Kenuel Gates, the leader of a Next Generation -- a local group focused on fighting for equality. Gates then shared it with the Williston Police Department.

“The officer had no proof of him trespassing from an owner or anything of the property. He said the officer was swinging and he was trying to block punches the best he could. He said he actually got kicked in his ankle and ended up going to the hospital the next day,” Gates said.

Eventually the case was handed over to the Levy County Sheriff’s Office. Sergeant Landis has been relieved of his duties while the situation is under investigation.

Meanwhile, members of the Williston community have been posting more videos on social media showing Sergeant Landis getting in physical situations with other individuals.

“As it stands right now, currently we will be focusing just on this one event, that occurred on July 3rd,” Deputy Chief of Williston Police, Terry Bovaird, said.

“I’m not saying that those other events won’t bring in some additional light on the situation. Obviously, if we had an official complaint brought by a citizen, we investigate that complaint fully to the fullest extent,” Deputy Chief Bovaird said.

The Levy County Sheriff’s Office say they have no comment as this is an ongoing criminal investigation.

Cop with Annoying Smirk Arrests Man for Picking up Friend from Jail

Six of the nine cops working for the Superior Police Department in Arizona have either been fired or forced to resign.

A smirking cop named Joel Christopher Ensley continues to wear the badge in Arizona despite a history of thuggery, abuse and lies in that state, a gypsy cop working for an ironically named town called Superior that employs several other cops with unsavory pasts.

Ensley was recently featured in an ABC 15 investigative piece about how police departments in Arizona coverup for their problem cops by failing to place them on the Brady list as required by law. The Brady list is supposed to include the names of cops with credibility issues and be made available to defendants arrested by these officers.

In the town of Superior, six of the town’s nine cops are on the Brady list, placing the population of 3,141 people at risk.

The above video shows Ensley violently arresting a drunk man named Aaron Maughn in 2018 who had passed out in front of a convenience store. Ensley then threatens to arrest another man who accused him of using excessive force on Maughn.

Later that day, Ensley arrests Maugh’s friend, Clint Peterson, who had walked into the police department to pick him up. Ensley made up some bogus charges that were dismissed but it took a year and a whole lot of money. He sued and received a settlement.

Ensley was apparently enraged that day because Maugh had eluded another cop the previous night who had been trying to pull him over for a traffic violation. Ensley accused Peterson of being involved in that incident but he had nothing to do with it.

                                                              According to ABC 15:

According to personnel records obtained by ABC15, Ensley has worked in at least six Arizona police departments, either failing to meet standards, resigning under investigation, or getting fired for dishonesty. In 2010, he was required to undergo a psychological evaluation that determined, “he may be a poor candidate due to his moral self-righteousness, possible adjustment challenges, may be overly sensitive to criticism, and may be rigid and inflexible in his thinking.”

Another officer involved in the arrest was Commander Anthony Doran, who was previously fired from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office for having sex on duty, records show. In 2019, Doran was fired from Superior for again having sex on duty, which he recorded on his body camera. He also had pornography stashed on his work computer in a folder labeled “Fun Time.”

Police were likely agitated with Peterson because of what his friend had done the night before.

Aaron Maughn failed to stop for a traffic violation and was able to evade officers by driving off-road into the desert and ditching his vehicle.

One of the officers pursuing him, Martin Sosa, has his own similar criminal history. In 2012, while working for Phoenix police, Sosa was arrested for DUI and unlawful flight after he sped away from officers at 80 to 85 miles per hour, records show.

Ensley is the poster child for the need for criminal justice reform; the way he lies and intimidates and abuses and seems to take pleasure in dehumanizing people, passing down those traits to the younger cops who have already been stripped off all compassion and common sense in the police academy.

Ensley is also named in another lawsuit where he is accused of lying to a justice of peace to obtain a warrant where they proceeded to beat and hospitalize a man named Richard Manriquez in a failed search for drugs.

Tennessee state trooper Harvey Briggs was upset that a man had cursed at him.

Enraged that a man with a camera had the gall to curse at him while recording a traffic stop, a Tennessee state trooper stormed up to him and got into his face, threatening to arrest him before ripping the mask off his face and storming off.

In the video that went viral, Tennessee Highway Patrol Harvey Briggs denies ripping the mask off the man's face, saying, "I'm tired of you people making up stuff."

But he ended up fired anyway, ending a 22-year career.

The incident took place Monday when Andrew Golden began recording a traffic stop involving another state trooper when Briggs began yelling at him from a guard shack about a block away.

"I'm filming and I'm on a f*¢king sidewalk," Golden responds which infuriated Briggs, prompting him to leave his post and confront Golden by standing directly in his face, stepping on Golden's toes.

Briggs was not wearing a face mask even though there was a mandatory mandate to wear face masks in Nashville.

Briggs was fired for unprofessional conduct, according to WSMV.

Hillsborough County, FL — Last month, a detective with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, beginning on July 24, began working undercover on a social media app to ensnare pedophiles looking to have sex with children. During the sting, a pedophile responded to the undercover officer pretending to be a little girl. When the HCSO deputy moved to arrest that pedophile, they discovered he was a fellow police officer.

Sergeant Stephen Utter, 37, with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office was arrested this month for trying to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex. According to investigators, Utter was made immediately aware of the girl’s age before he began to sexually groom her. Luckily, the 14-year-old girl was a cop and not an actual child.

According to authorities, during the conversations online and via text message, Utter sent explicit messages detailing the sexual acts he wished to perform on the juvenile.

Once he’d incriminated himself enough, police moved in to arrest him.

Utter was arrested and booked on charges of unlawful use of a two-way communications device, transmission of harmful material to a minor and use of computer devices to solicit certain illegal acts.

After his arrest, police issued a canned statement noting how Utter’s actions do not echo the sentiments of other cops in the area.

“The conduct of this sergeant is in no way a reflection of the thousands of deputies across Tampa Bay who are committed to serving their communities with integrity,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister.

“We will not tolerate this predatory behavior from anyone, including a fellow law enforcement officer, as displayed by the quick actions both the Manatee and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Offices took to arrest this individual.”
