guy had been kicked out of school, only parents he ever knew were dead, he was essentially homeless, and pissed at the school that booted him (as almost all students kicked out of school are).....

Should have sent him off to a military school or a strick boarding school that allows physical discipline and punishment out of the Country.

Unruly kids need to be taught discipline and given some sort of direction in life to go along with an education. Lock em down.... I know a kid that was a nightmare, she was stealing cars, doing drugs at age 14, her parents couldn't take it anymore and sent her off to a strict boarding school in Costa Rica. She went kicking and screaming..

She came back 18 months later a changed girl with direction and goals, well behaved.. She hated it but it turned her life around, became a good caring Christian girl, a head Nurse today at a Beverly Hills hospital and is married to my best friend today.

She's totally normal today... Her parents are a total mess though and I can see how she went wrong as a kid...

I understand the concept you are providing but do you really trust law enforcement to not take advantage of no armed citizens? The bad ones will continue to commit crimes against the people they are supposed to protect and serve. Guns will be planted at even more crime scenes to try and cover up the murders committed by bad cops.

Guns aren't going anywhere so the conversation and actions to stop these mass shootings needs to look elsewhere for solutions.

You obviously dont know WHY they dont carry guns inside a prison do you/ Because if a guard is attacked and his gun is taken from him it can be used by the inmates. That is why guys on the outside have the guns where inmates cant get to them. They can shoot from afar where there is no chance of the weapon being taken by inmates. do some research

No guns in prisons have refuted the stupid theory that "guns do not kill people". No guns = no people killed by guns. It is very simple but you want to distort this simple fact. Now, I'm not talking about banning all guns but common sense tells me that if we had a lot less guns, there would be a whole lot less gun violence.

Turn on the evening news and half of it is about gun violence and who got killed by someone committing a crime of passion. I wish guns were never created but since we have them we need to figure out how to be more responsible. The first step is to find ways to reduce the overall amount and especially keep them out of the hands of perps.

He wasn't eating or sleeping right and was hearing voices, mocking voices in his head and it was getting worse... I convinced him to go to get checked up and they gave him strong mental meds, he became a zombie basically.. Years later he gave up drugs and crack and is completely normal today, he admits it was the drugs but swears he was hearing voices and hearing things at the time.

There is a fine line between drug abuse and paranoid delusions and mental illness.. It's like a drunk, when sober they are usually different people...

I don't buy into all this mental illness crap these days.. Sorry.. I do buy into hard drug addiction that wacks out your mind though..

My college roommate snapped. He was perfectly fine one minute then snapped in an instance. The pressure of school, football and a horrible girlfriend pushed him over the edge. I woke up one night and he was standing over me in the dark. Scared the shit out of me. Asked him what was wrong and he said another friend was trying to kill him. WTF? Called that other friend who had no clue what was happening. Roommate was afraid to leave the house, stayed up for 3 days straight as I tried to talk sense to him. Story changed and several other people were trying to kill him as well. I called his family and he ends up taking his car and kept going forward and backwards in traffic. I had to call the police. They took him down and Baker act him, where they arrest him and move to a mental hospital for 3 days. I talked to the doctor and he told me that EVERYONE will have a mental episode. We all have bouts of schizophrenia but normal people come out of it. He said have I ever been by myself but felt someone else was in the room? That's a mental episode. Or the hair stand on your arms out of fear for no reason? That's a bout of schizophrenia. Most people come back to reality but when that's blurred, that's when people have problems.

Being right there with him and seeing him crack, was like watching someone become possessed by a demon. It definitely felt like a spiritual event that you read in the bible. Come to find out that his mom was also Schizophrenic. He was a great athlete but the meds really did a number on him. He was slow and lethargic when on them. If he forgot to take them he went nuts. He always felt that he didn't need it but he REALLY needed it. Put a gun in his hands and anyone near him would be fukked.

I finally went to the doctor and he immediately called the ambulance. I started losing bodily functions in the ambulance. My lungs gave out. I couldn't breathe. They had me hooked up to so many machines, ventilator and pumped some of the hardest antibiotics known. The medicine was so lethal that it left bruises on my arm. Had I not gone into the doctor that day, I would have died. I was in the hospital for over a week. I was touch and go the first few days. I finally came around by the 4th day but I was constantly hallucinating. It was the weirdest thing. I'd close my eyes and I was seeing crazy stuff. Birds flying in the room, me hanging out of a window, traveling to exotic places, sitting behind home plate at a Met's game (I'm not even a Met's fan). It was so vivid, with color that I could swear I was there. It was so bad that I didn't know if I was sleeping or awake. I told the doctor and he said most likely I fried some brain cells/nerves when my fever was so high for so long. I was scared to death that I wouldn't be able to stop hallucinating. wow, I recently had an almost exact situation. I became violently ill with a gallbladder attack, rushed to the hospital via ambulance and my heart spiked and that is the last thing I remember. Woke up four days later and was told I had sepsis and one more hour I would have been dead. Pumped up for 10 days with antibiotics and it was touch and go. During this time period I was positive that one nurse was attempting to kill me and that chickens and other animals were running around my room. I also thought that I was home and my son must have sold my house to the hospital. I too was very scared.

I was too frightened to even tell anybody about these thoughts except my son, he just kept reassuring me that I was just a little confused and things would be fine. Later an actual psychiatrist came to see me and I convinced him that all was well. I later was informed that often people who are very ill often fall into what they call hospital psychosis.

Your life can change in a split second. One minute you are fine and the next minute you are critical, we sometimes forget that. I will tell you this I never want to experience that again.
