When she first got the house (Way before we ever met) the area was actually nice and who used to live in the area were the guys and their families who used to work at the shipyard. The people that serve you a lot are barely making anything and relying on making a living on tips . If they are making more per hour then i can see that but to stiff someone because that particular person is not doing great financially is not right. If they can afford the price of eating out which is going to be more then it would have cost to go to a supermarket and cook it yourself - then that person should add on the 15-20% before they go or not go at all and make it themselves.

i wasnt trying to excuse no tipping practice just to explain the logic behind it, cause people act of how they feel often, and that is the biggest problem with blacks now although times of racism are long gone, they still feel mistreated in certain areas.

Actually 10% i will not complain about it really just depends on where you are and the service. I am mainly talking about the people that leave nothing at all or next to nothing. I always leave 20% unless it is really bad service. I even tip if i pick it up and they put it together for me which most people do not. They still have to get it all together ,wrap it all up,put all the side stuff in there like utensils and such. You would have to REALLY piss me off to get nothing and both times i did that (Twice) i would leave something ridiculous ( 5 cents all in pennies) to get the point of how lousy and ignorant that person was.

Yea i agree lol. Even if the service is average or even if they make mistakes on our food as long as they make up for it i still leave 20%

It is not that simple my wife is a school teacher in Camden and has to stay in the area. She brought the house actually when the area was nice way back but now of course that has changed. We are hoping to gt out of here once she retires hopefully in a couple of years.

I went on one of the You tube videos here which lead me to hear stories of waitresses serving Black people and they mentioned something that i have never seen or heard of before and am wondering if this is in any way true or not because i have eaten at restaurants with black people sitting all around me and i have NEVER seen this once. But then again i have never really looked for it either but i would have thought through the years i would have noticed this at least once.
The waiters and waitresses said the blacks order hot water in a glass and soak their utensils in it because they want to kill all the germs on them even though they have been through the dishwasher. This seems insane to me it cannot be true can it? Or does this actually happen ?

Yep, the BS continued with social media and the shaming that these waiters/waitresses do when they feel they have been wronged. You are in the "service" industry...hence, you are tipped based on your service. If it is terrible service, you get no tip. The, automatic 18-20% tip culture hasn't translated well to millenials. If the service was bad enough to not leave a tip, I'd have asked to speak with the manager. Meal prob gets comped or at least you hash it out.

I am not one to send back food or tip shitty though as I avoid restaurants with poorly trained employees.
