this is hilarious.

i had a live bet ML yankees play that I had hoped would be settled No Action, it actually was cancelled at first but then changed to a LOSS later.

the part that gets me is that the live bet was open RIGHT up until the game was cancelled at Bal -700. I really considered playing it but figured it'd be settled no action.. my yankee live bet being settled a loss tells me the -700 would have been a WIN. Something to consider in the future.

It should be based on time. I haven't followed it to know whats going on.

Definitely worth thinking about. New format, anything could happen. Variance in this is pretty ridiculous, and real numbers are pretty tough to come by, a once a year event where only 3 of the competitors have ever competed before, in a brand new format.

I crunched some numbers and tried to come up with a model of season performance as it related to derby performance and there wasn't much correlation. Only thing I could come up with is fading players who were possibly overvalued in the public eye, someone like Frazier who has hit as many HRs this year as he did in the entire 2013 and 2012 season.
